The menu changes every two weeks depending on what is fresh and available. While the food was excellent, what puts this restaurant at a five star level is the personalized service. It is a one man show in here - he is probably the owner, manager, and wait staff all in one. He came over to our table, had a small talk about our tastes, and suggested an excellent red wine to go with our meal. So far this is normal for most restaurants of this caliber. As we were finishing our meal, he came over and asked if we want dessert. I was hesitant and my husband was too full for dessert. However, Mr. All-in-one (I cannot remember his name) encouraged us to try the dessert and then brought us some dessert wine to try (on the house!). He explained to us how this particular wine pairs well with the dessert. The best part is that he genuinely wanted us to enjoy our meal and experience his wonderful hospitality. It is an industrial neighborhood and the street was not terribly well lit but we found it and all was good. Coatroom area at the front and we were greeted by the tour guide who had just started our tour two minutes early. An introduction and history of the Distillery and then she brought us back to where the magic happens. Lots to see in here with stills, tanks, mashers and whatnot. Very interactive with some things to sniff and feel so that you can start to understand what goes on in the process. Upstairs to a reserved table, this is where the tasting happens. Three glasses prepared including Applejack, White dog and a London Gin. A bottle of tonic water was available too and then at the end, individual bottles of the Helsinki Long Drink to consume. All of it delicious, though the Long Drink was very tart from the grapefruit juice. Very interesting to see all of this and experience it. Well worth the €20. There is food to be had here as well. I was also very impressed by the wine list that had really good organic and nature wines. That was where chapter delivered but in most other aspects they do not deliver what I expect at a restaurant charging around €150 per head for dinner and drinks. The service was in general extremely slow and while friendly it was not great. 10 minute wait to be seated, drinks list for aperitifs handed over when too late (when several dishes already appeared). I could see that they were trying their best but there seemed to be a total lack of coordination. I also felt the food come to slowly, I don't need it to be a high pace but a dinner taking 4.5 hours is a bit too much. The food was in general beautiful and they had a story going through the menu but many dishes were just a bit boring. Out of the 10 dishes, 3 were really good, 2 were good, and the rest were just ok. At a place with ambitions I would expect at least 7 being great. Perhaps they are still finding their ways but to me there are a bunch of better places in Helsinki.

Chapter has a very cool concept for their cocktails where the server will show you a small deck of cards with different drinks and their descriptions, and you can either choose from those options, or you can choose the Joker card (bartender's choice) where they will mix one of the drinks according to your taste preference (fresh, smooth, strong, etc.). The drinks are served on book pages or even in a cut-out book - there is a reason they're called Chapter, after all! If you're after more standard drinks, they have a beer and wine list as well, so don't worry if cocktails aren't your thing. The staff are friendly and like to chat with their customers, and overall the service has been good in my experience. It gets a bit slow when there are a lot of people, but that's to be expected. The bar area in the back of Chapter is really nice, and in the summers when the outdoor seating area is open, it's the perfect place to relax to some nice background music and hang out with your friends for a couple drinks.
