I checked Dr. Precht's background and chose her for her extensive education and experience. The lovely waiting room has her credentials and awards displayed as well. Dr. Precht required medical tests and my primary doctor's evaluation. This medical evaluation resulted in a change to my medicine and improvement for my physical and mental well being. I also reduced my weight by eleven pounds in three months. Thank you Dr. Precht and patient care coordinator, Amanda, for contacting me regularly to check on my well being. I have more vitality and self confidence. I am highly satisfied with my healthy looking body, both inside and out.

Day of the procedure was smooth and easy. I got profuse apologies about any delays I experienced (always less than at the doctor, to be honest) and I felt very comforted by the fact that Dr. Precht considers the procedure complete when it's as perfect as possible, not when the clock says it's done. I got the same treatment in my procedure and I'm so delighted with the results. The attention to detail was amazing and my recovery was exactly as the team described. I even got a personal call at home to check on me. Will return if I ever need her again!

I'll tell you a bit about my journey. I wanted to find a place to do sinusoplasty to help me with…read moremy breathing, because of a deviated septum. I didn't realize how crooked it was. And while under I figured I could do some rhinoplasty to correct the shape of my nose. I looked at a few places, nervous because I've never had surgery before. After meeting Dr Schvindler, I knew this was the place. For me, I didn't want some sterile Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, I wanted a compassionate, warm place and a doctor who helps Vets, teaches, and specializes on face. So after a few months the day finally arrived! I had a 6am appointment and nervous, no idea how much pain I'll be in afterward, and thought about backing out. But I press forward, comforted by the amazing anesthesiologist whom made me laugh and stayed with me the whole time. After getting on the table, I fell asleep without even noticing I was about to and woke up basically on my way home. My wife putting me to bed I didn't feel tired and in fact felt energetic. The most profound thing is that I didn't even take the strong pain killers at any time afterwards. I felt no pain at any stage ever. Sure the first day is like a really bad cold, and you are super stuffy but each day gets better and in a week you are back to normal. After the first day the gel in your nose disintegrates. Nothing else goes in there. So a month later writing this, yes it will take a while for swelling subside but an amazing experience. I am so thankful for Dr S. If you are on the fence even, book an appointment and come here. I can't believe I suffered so many years with a crooked nose. Night and day

I did a lot of research on doctors and Melissa at the front actually recommended Dr Joe because my ears were pretty hard to fix, and she said he is the absolute best... What I really appreciate about Dr Joe is his realistic expectations and walking me though different options. The tip of my nose and the little hump were my main concern, but I really wanted to fix my ears since I would be under anyway. Let me tell you- these results surpassed my expectations and i cannot thank Dr Joe AND Melissa enough for helping me feel beautiful and secure with myself. 10/10 recommend. The recovery was actually not as bad as i had hyped it to be either, having the nurses be available by text was so nice and greatly appreciated. Side note- the office is great, from the front desk, the financing, doctors and nurses. This was also the first time that i didn't wake up sick from anesthesia.

Dr. Martinez is professional, informative, and communicates well. He understood me and always answered my questions in a thoughtful, professional, and sensitive manner. In 2014 he removed my Sigmoid Colon and did a resection, it's now, FIVE (5) years out, and I am healthy and living a GREAT LIFE. He then spent the next 4 weeks with a colonoscopy, endoscopy and finally a laparoscopy of my stomach. Did not do a ct or any other testing but after the laparoscopy announced I did in fact have Ovarian Cancer. It was then that all hell broke loose with my health but fortunate I was able to get to Houston, Texas to MD Anderson Cancer Center for treatment & then surgery. Again, Dr. Martinez is not an oncologist and never should have taken over my care as the original diagnosis from Spokane was cancer. And he certainly should not have done the laparoscopy surgery when cancer was suspected. Would never recommend anyone to Swedish Medical & Dr. Martinez after my experience. and the unfortunate delay in treatment of my cancer. Completely unacceptable on many levels and in fact frightening.

They require you to be on-site or within 10 minutes for a procedure appoint that takes hours. For the cost, they should provide a stronger level of service. They have an intake form that asked how far you will be away, as if they are going to notify you with enough time to return. Then they tell you something different at the check in desk. Nonetheless on my first visit they actually told me someone would call for pickup with the 20 minutes I noted on the form. But when they did call I was reprimanded for being more than 10 minutes away. OMG!! So even though the policy sucks, not everyone is looped in. Lame. Figure it out, and figure out how to provide a decent level of service

The negatives: I was billed an amount when I checked in that was significantly higher than what my copay ended up being according to my insurance company. I contacted FHSC multiple times about this and finally got my refund after 6 months! My surgery was delayed by hours and the staff never told me that it was delayed. Patients are in areas divided by curtains for the pre and post-op portions of their visit. This means there is a lack of privacy. I could unfortunately hear the conversations about the surgery of the person in the space next to mine. I did not want to hear that and was quite sad for them.
