It was a bunch of middle aged country boys dropping countless F-bombs in front of the female bartender / cook / waitress. I felt bad for her, but she didn't seem to care and I eventually got focused on getting a bar burger from this hardcore country bumpkin tavern. I had a cheeseburger and a Pabst Blue Ribbon as well as mozzarella sticks. The burger was really cheap, like $2.75 or something incredibly low. It was very good and reason to return. Of course they had no craft beer, but I knew that walking in the door when I saw what looked like a half dozen Grizzly Adams impersonators wondering who the stranger was. The waitress / bartender was pleasant and attentive and I enjoyed my bar burger and that's all that matters to me. Did I mention this is a great place for cheap eats? Very inexpensive.

The Service was sadly subpar. I've had much worst, but this was definitely below average. It seemed like she was exasperated to do her job. I don't think she likes her job and it showed. The lack of talent and desire in the hiring pool in the area definitely shows. Overall a 3 1/2 star review that'll be rounded up to a full 4. Basically 1 star lost for weak service and half a star for lack of supplies, aka the syrup. I would come back, especially if I was in the area. I would recommend this place for patient people, who food quality is more important than quality service.

I tried the small bean and meat burrito, a departure from my normal chicken fajita salad. First, I couldn't finish the small burrito. The sauce was a different one than I've ever had, but very tasty. Burrito was filled with a lot of bean and beef filling. No kick, even with salsa. I asked for a second salsa and Frank's hot sauce which helped. I recommend it, for a different twist on a burrito. 3 staff members doing everything from order taking, clearing, drinks and serving dinners. Took a while for someone to take my order. My husband ordered the porterhouse steak with French onion soup, waffle fries, and coleslaw. I ordered the fried goat cheese salad and onion petals. The waffle fries and onion petals were cold when served. When our server checked on us, we politely mentioned the issue. The waffle fries and onion petals were remade, but while the fries came back hot, the onion petals were still cold. Beyond that, there was little effort made to address the rest of the meal or improve the experience.
