Before I could even properly introduce myself or explain what I needed, he immediately started speaking to me in an incredibly rude and disrespectful manner, even calling me "obnoxious." The most frustrating part is that he didn't even take the time to listen to what I was calling about. I was simply trying to introduce myself and discuss a potential job. Instead, I was met with unnecessary hostility and an attitude that was completely unprofessional. If you don't want to deal with potential customers, that's your choice--but then why maintain a business listing and take calls from people looking for your services? There is absolutely no excuse for treating someone with disrespect when they are calling about hiring you. I called looking for a handyman. I certainly wasn't expecting to be insulted before I could even finish saying who I was. Extremely unpleasant experience and a disappointing way to treat a potential customer.

When we decided to remodel our current home, which was a much larger project, we knew we wanted to get an estimate from Johnnie at BP. We ultimately went with them and are glad we did. Jillian coordinated purchases for our project, and Jesse was our project manager. Walls, ceilings, electric, plumbing, and doors moved. Tile was replaced, new cabinets and lighting installed. The work was again completed on time and within approved budget. We really are pleased with how our house looks and how functional it is, and we've recommended BP Remodeling to friends. One is in the midst of their project now. We hope we are done with remodeling homes, but we would not hesitate to use BP again based on our experience.

I was still under warranty so I called. The guy on the phone looked up the address and said yes, I was still under warranty. I asked if he could deal with my real estate agent since I was not in Tucson anymore and it didn't seem to be a problem. However, now that I about to close on the house, my agent called them back to get status and the 1by1 guy swore at him and hung up. So, I called them myself and they guy said that they need the warranty papers and receipt since they do not have me in their system now due to a system changeover. That seems shady. When I told him that he said I was in there last time I called a couple weeks ago he said that he was just looking at the stuff my agent sent but my agent didn't even know about them the first time I called. So, I feel I have been lied to and my agent treated like garbage. I guess I will file a ROC report on them since they seem to want to get out of doing any warranty repair work. They did a nice job on the roof, I will give them that. Just don't expect anything down the road if problems arise during warranty.

We communicated frequently throughout the process, and the team was always responsive, transparent, and committed to delivering outstanding results. They even helped us repair a broken window that wasn't part of the project, and they showed remarkable patience and compassion in accommodating unexpected neurological challenges on our side. They handled every obstacle--including two unpredictable water issues and coordinating with our HOA as applicable--with professionalism, creativity, and a consistently positive attitude. Their craftsmanship is exceptional. Our custom fireplace is absolutely stunning, and the redesigned bathroom countertop and sink make much better use of the available space. Throughout the project, they made countless thoughtful enhancements that elevated both the beauty and functionality of the home. Poplin Construction exceeded our expectations in every way. If you're looking for a team that combines exceptional craftsmanship with integrity, professionalism, and genuine care for their clients, I highly recommend them.

Because they were busy and we wanted to be able to open the doors and windows during the staining process, we scheduled that portion of the work for spring. To their credit, Jerry Stetson and one of his crew did come out and perform the stucco patching job, and the work was satisfactory. However, that's where our positive contact with them ended. When we called Stetson a month prior to the scheduled spring staining project, we were told that they dropped us from their schedule for reasons that made no sense. So we rescheduled the work for this October. We then made several attempts to reconfirm as we got a couple of months out and never received a reply. Whether we called and left a message or sent an email, same result - no response. We made at least a half-dozen attempts, but never heard back from them. We also tried to send in a new request for proposal through Home Advisor, with the same result, nothing! Bottom line, you may or may not get a response from these guys, and you may or may not get your job done. I'd hate to see what would happen if you had a problem with a job they did. Up to you, but to us, their lack of professionalism will keep us away from them in the future.
