We were two signatures away from the deal, but solely because they were being extremely dodgy with us about what our final numbers were until we forced the finance manager to show us the numbers. The finance manager is one of the most disgusting people we have ever had the displeasure of dealing with ever. This guy was pushy, rude, and most importantly an absolute creep. He was forcing us into a deal we should have never signed, and wanted us to commit to $64k in debt for a Honda EXL. (For comparison, I bought the same car the next day for $30k cheaper.) When I left the room as my mother called me with a medical emergency, he then proceeded to ask my wife for her phone number and hit on her. Then when my wife said she was uncomfortable and pushed back on the deal he tried to pressure to sign the paperwork WHILE I WASN'T IN THE ROOM!!!! When she showed hesitance he became aggressive with her all while I was outside on the phone. When we left, we told them we had a medical emergency and I wasn't aware of what had happened just yet. The managers hunted me down asking "what happened". At that time I didn't even realize what the guy had done. After that I reached out to the manager and filed a complaint. In this day and age, there's no place for predatory men such as that financial manager. The way he preyed on my wife is absolutely disgusting and worrisome to think how many other women he's done this exact thing too.

I was able to spend as much time as needed going under the truck and checking for leaks, brake wear, rust, engine operation, pretrip inspection, test drive, etc. Just wanted to say I appreciated Mark Cassidy's honesty. And he allowed me plenty of time to thoroughly inspect the vehicle, ask questions and make an educated decision. The vehicle checked out well and was a very clean 2 owner. Only issue was the two old batteries that came with the truck were having a tough time holding a charge after bringing the truck home. He had to use a booster to initially start it for me. But it stopped and started all day after that so I couldn't figure out why the batteries lost their charge the next day. I decided to replace them as they didn't sound strong and I didn't want to get stranded. I think the constant starting and stopping, and the glow plug preheating may have zapped the batteries. Other than that the truck performed very well during a 300+ mile road trip up to the Sierras and back, including a four wheel drive excursion on some pretty steep grades in loose dirt/gravel way above Sonora. The AC needs recharging as it's not as cold as it could be on that extended trip through the hot central valley, but i'll save that expense for a later date. They serviced the truck before they put it on the lot for sale, as the oil was clean and the trans fluid was new. Truck was competitively priced and Mark knocked off an additional amount the day I bought it. So thumbs up for Greenbergs, they always carry a good inventory of 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton and commercial trucks in various drive configurations. I've had previous experience working on diesel engines and prefer diesel because of the torque, pulling power, and reliability. Check 'em out if you're looking for a used rig in or around Napa, CA.

The car I'd initially inquired about by email was sold before I got a chance to get up there, and Nick let me know. I told him what I was looking for, and he told me about a recent acquisition. Couple days later, we had a deal. Seems simple enough, right? I'd been looking for a car in this area for months. These folks stand out.

Bought a car from here in Aug 2019. It has taken me this long to cool down from the experience. Let…read moreme explain... We researched the model car we had our eye on, including known issues for the year and KBB value. The one on this lot was priced high, but we rationalized that it was due to low miles for the year. Just in case, though, we took it to the Toyota dealer to have it inspected. As we were literally pulling away from the lot after having just purchased it, the check engine light came on. Not a great feeling when you just dropped $11k for a 13 year old vehicle. In retrospect, the light was probably in during the test drive too, but I didn't notice that because I was focused on so many other things. You sort of just assume warning lights won't be flashing when you're buying a car. Once home, had the car checked out by our trusted mechanic only to discover that the steering column was broken (!). We had them fix it to the tune of $800. I returned to M&J and explained the situation and got the "too bad so sad" response from them. They refused to even split the cost with me and further accused me of breaking it and that the car was perfect when they had it. First of all, how does one break a steering column driving on flat roads within a mile radius of the lot? I have never in my life broken the steering column in a car. I'm not even sure what stress the car (which is equipped with 4WD btw) would need to go through to make that happen. Second, to the point that we had the car independently inspected, apparently they don't include checking random things that usually don't randomly break in their 54 point inspections. They also do not check for warning lights apparently. All of this could have been right by the dealership to split the cost with me, which they refused to do. It left me feeling ripped off. Slimy business owners need to be called out so thank god for Yelp. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this business, unless you are a mechanic and know what you're buying into. Otherwise you may get left holding the bag for some expensive repairs like I was.
