I was here on a chilly wet evening in the off season the week after an early Easter. Walking by the smell and ambience were so tempting I went in. Charming, kitschy Easter decor, an electric fireplace, and soft music were just what I was looking for. The menu is uncomplicated, basically German. I had schnitzel (fried veal cutlets) served with potatoes and " cranberries", and also the beef and noodle soup. Quality was decent not memorable. When you order wines by the glass, mostly local, you can choose either a small or a large glass 10 vs 20 cl. While I'm sure there are finer meals to be had in Baden Baden, if you're looking for a very very cozy, romantic place on a side street near the baths district, this is a good choice. read more
