First of all--the smoothies! I am obsessed with the O My Greeness. It is absolutely delicious and easily the best green smoothie I've found in the city. It's the perfect blend of being nutrient-dense while still tasting like a treat. Their elixirs are also fantastic and so thoughtfully made. As someone who relies on natural remedies, their herb selection is a total lifesaver. Being able to walk over and pick up my burdock root, yellow dock, and nettle leaves in person is amazing. It's so much better than waiting on a delivery and saves me a fortune in shipping fees! The atmosphere is always so warm and welcoming. Whether you're looking for high-quality wellness staples or just a delicious drink to brighten your day, this is the place to be. We are so lucky to have them in the community--I'm especially glad they're now even closer than their old location in Hyde Park!

He asked us if it was our first time there and that made us feel more comfortable as we didn't know the menu. He asked us what we were looking for and we said something to eat. He explained two of his favorite food items and my wife and I chose one of his recommendations. It was the Everything Avocado Toast. It was simple and tasty. Avocado and Tomato sprinkled with a blend of Everything Seasoning. I think some oil too? It was very good. We did add some of our own sauce at home but we were very satisfied. The only thing we didn't like is that the bread was not toasted. The atmosphere, cleanliness and layout of the establishment are excellent. The owner or employees were professional and very friendly. We will be returning soon!

I've also visited the downtown and Lincoln park locations, and while the açaí bowl was still as delicious and the atmosphere was welcoming -- there is still a different feel compared to the Hyde Park location. I had a terrible experience at this Tropical Smoothie location and left very disappointed,…read moreespecially because the manager was involved from start to finish. After placing my order, I asked the manager at the register how long I should expect to wait for my drink. Instead of giving me an estimated wait time, she simply pointed to the crowd and did not provide an answer. I told her I would wait in my car, and she said that was okay. About 10 minutes later, I came back inside only to find out that my drink had been given to someone else. When I explained what happened, the manager asked me if I had even paid for the drink, even though she was the same person who had rung up my order just 10 minutes earlier. I understand that businesses can get busy, but this situation could have been handled much better. I had my receipt, and I had already spoken with the manager before stepping outside. Being questioned about whether I had paid made me feel disrespected and uncomfortable. Overall, the customer service was disappointing, and this experience left a very negative impression.
