Hasain is the absolute best!!! He is a master of lightning and he captures beautiful natural and life long memories. We cherish the family portraits he has captured over the years from maternity shots to family photos with stunning natural landscape backgrounds and soft flattering lighting. I should also mention that Hasain really helped me with my business photography as well. We are so grateful for both Hasain and Joanna. They are the best! I highly recommend them for any photography need. read more

Hasain Rasheed Photography is a welcome addition to Temescal Alley. I stopped in this afternoon and admired the various well-compositioned family photos on the wall. I believe I also had the opportunity to talk with the Artist himself we struck me as creative, talented, and pretty chill. According to Hasain's web site, he's been in the business for more than 15 years and that his photojournalist style style translates into beautiful, colorful, and emotional storytelling and images. read more

I found Hasain online, and thought his photos were beautiful; he seemed to capture the emotion much more than other photographers did. I hired Hasain to do a family portrait to celebrate my parents' 40th wedding anniversary, and the photos were great! We had a really enjoyable time shooting with Hasain...so much so that my fiancé and I hired Hasain to shoot our wedding. We just got our engagement pictures back, and love them! The photos are sharp, with beautiful lighting, and they look so natural. I can't wait until our big day--and can't wait to see how Hasain captures it! read more

Hasain photographed our wedding earlier this year. You will have a lot of decisions to make for your wedding. The night of, the caterer is probably the most important. But two days, two months, and years later, the most important will be your photographer. I just finished looking at all of our wedding pictures and cannot believe the amount of emotion, tenderness, humor, and love that Hasain captured. During the event, he had the most calming and comforting energy. People said to me, "Your photographer worked so hard," and "Hasain's energy is amazing." He captured moments that I thought were only memories in my mind or I heard about from others but did not think were caught. I knew he was there but there is no sense of his being in the way or overwhelming and in those moments that he was not taking touching shots of me getting ready, he was memorializing gems in the other room (rings, shoes, friends). Choosing Rasheed Photography was the best decision we could have made. I am so grateful to Hasain and Joanna for everything but especially the beautiful way that I will remember that amazing day. read more

We hired Hasain to take family portraits of us and our 5- and 2-year-old and the photo shoot went better than we could have dreamed! In the past our kids got fidgety and/or grouchy after just a few photos, but with Hasain it was almost totally the opposite. We had a successful session with Hasain for a number of reasons: Partly because he chose a great setting where the kids could alternate between running around and sitting still for photos. But more than anything, Hasain is so relaxed, personable, and professional that he was able to take amazing photos even with our kids literally hanging from a tree like monkeys. I can't recommend Hasain highly enough - thanks to him, we finally got some really nice photos of all four of us together. read more

Hasain and Joanna were a pleasure to work with. We were referred to them by my sister inlaw that had photos done with them recently. Joanna behind the scenes is excellent to work with for coordinating photo days and working on the scheduling and such while Hasain shows up magically ready to photoshoot. We had photos taken prior to the birth of our baby and after and can't express how pleased we are with the photos. We had no idea what to expect and naturally were worried about lighting, looking too rehearsed, and not knowing what to do or expect. Hasain captured the moments and did so with ease and a calm easy to work with demeanor. He is very talented at what he does and the photos clearly show his work. We will absolutely be repeat customers and will gladly recommend their services to anyone looking. These photos will last a lifetime and will surely bring memories back each time we view them. Amazing work! THANK YOU! Sean and Caroline. read more

Hasain is a pleasure to work with! His creative, laidback style make the process fun and low-stress. He suggested great locales and met us on time, taking the guesswork out of finding the perfect venue for our family photos. And the photos he produced were excellent! We have so many to choose from, and we're thrilled with the results. We will eagerly recommend him to friends and colleagues, and look forward to working with him again :) read more

I have to admit that I was a little embarrassed by the JC Penney family photo on our wall when Hasain came to our house to do our newborn photo shoot. I've never hired a pro photographer before (even our wedding was shot by a friend). But I had seen examples from Hasain's portfolio and knew he would capture a view of our family that you just can't get by staging a family in front of a brown screen and waving a stuffed clown at their toddler. Our newborn was only two weeks old and our three year old was kind of wild and snot-faced, but Hasain managed to catch some amazing shots of all combinations of the whole family. He was friendly and personable, and my big kid just loved him, which made smiles come naturally. I was really excited by the set of photos we received. Now we have a really beautiful birth announcement and some frameables that our families will cherish. And you can't even tell that our house and yard were a total mess! read more

A stellar experience with Hasain and Joanna. Hasain came to our house and managed to relax our kids (ages 7 and 5) and take some great photographs. For family photos, the interpersonal skills of the photographer really matter and Hasain delivers! Communication via email with Joanna was smooth throughout. Highly recommend. read more

Hassain photographed my wedding three years ago and my husband and I still enjoy the photos he captured to this day. He got the right balance of both candid and posed photos and the quality of the photos are amazing. After the wedding, many of our wedding guests told us that Hassain is wonderful, he talked to everyone and took photos, making them feel included in the wedding celebration. Also, my husband has never been a good subject in photographs but Hassain made him feel at ease and my husband was able to relax and have fun. I absolutely adore the photos. He captured so many moments and somehow was invisible during many of them! I would love to have him photograph our family photos in the near future. read more

We loved taking our family photos with Hasain last year! He wrangled 7 adults, 2 dogs and 1 sick baby for some beautiful photos in Point Richmond and we got them all framed and/or used them for Christmas card pics. Check out his site if you're in the Bay Area and love a photojournalistic aesthetic. read more

We had another family photo session with Hasain this year - the photos are even better than the previous year! Hasain really has a gift with his ability to capture the 'moment' with our photos. Hasain will continue to be our family photographer as long as we live in the Bay Area. We could not be happier with the photos he takes for us. His flexibility with schedule and location is also great. We feel very lucky to have found him. I would recommend Rasheed Photography to my closest friends and family. Our experiences with Hasain and his wife Joanna have been absolutely fantastic!!!! We could not give them a higher recommendation! read more

Hasain did a beautiful job with our family photo shoot. He was patient with our very sleepy and cranky infant and toddler and did a good job managing our chaos. In spite of the madness he managed to capture a ton of gorgeous photos. His skill with lighting is truly exceptional. He's also just a really nice guy. Thanks, Hasain and Joanna! read more

My husband and I had the most fabulous time at our wedding ceremony and reception, and much of that is due to Hasain being an extraordinary photographer. Several of our guests commented on how fluidly Hasain moved through the crowd and captured moments without even being noticed. My husband's aunt in particular (who has worked with a well known photographer back east) was incredibly impressed and complimentary. My husband and I are about the worst at being in front of the camera, and Hasain was so patient with us and made us feel as comfortable as possible. We thoroughly enjoyed working the tag team duo of Hasain and Joanna. Both of them were kind, generous, and professional from start to finish. read more

We recently hired Rasheed Photography to do some long overdue family pictures, and Hasain did an amazing job. He is a talented photographer who knows how to get beautiful shots. He also knows the area very well and has a variety of cool spots he has already scoped out. In addition to that, he is wonderful and relaxed with children. I'm not sure if other photographers could handle 3 kids who really didn't want to take pictures. I highly recommend Hasain and Rasheed Photography. read more

We have been fortunate enough to have worked with Hasain throughout our 2 kids' baby and toddler years. As a result, we have beautiful, memorable and striking photos to enjoy and share with family and friends. We have received numerous compliments on these special photos! Hasain is extremely patient and relaxed, and immediately put our kids at ease with his laid back demeanor. He can be playful and silly when engaging the kids, or just quietly take a series of natural shots without them noticing. He is able to hold their attention and get gorgeous shots of them laughing, playing and just being themselves. He chooses beautiful indoor and outdoor settings and has a talent for capturing spontaneous, natural photos that don't look fake or posed. We will continue to hire Hasain for family photos for years to come! read more

Highly recommended! Hasain has an amazing eye at capturing moments that produce stellar photos. He is patient with children (has two of his own) so he knows how to work with kids. We used him for photos of our 2month old and the results were beautiful. Turnaround time was quick and had hundreds of photos to keep. Hasain and his wife (who handles the business side) are a great team and I highly recommend them! read more

We had a great experience doing a family portrait session with Hasain, and I'm in love with the results. He's really relaxed and is so great with small children. My son was super relaxed and natural in front of him, and in the pictures he really captures his natural spunk. Our infant daughter wasn't always cooperative but he still managed to capture some amazing moments. I can't say enough good things about it. I hope to make portraits with him an annual event! So wonderful to really capture our family in a natural way at this moment of our lives. read more

Hasain is the best... friendly, professional, relaxed ... he took wonderful photos of our family (kids + grandparents) and they are truly a treasure. He's great with old and young, and picked a beautiful natural setting, too. It's worth it to have professional photos taken, and you can't go wrong with Hasain. read more

We've had family photos taken twice in the last year by Rasheed Photography. I can't say enough how great the experience was! Both times he worked with our squirrely, not-always-into-posing kids with patience, humor and kindness. I love how natural our pictures looked and how easy it was to access them on his website (especially to share with far away family.) Highly recommend and will use again in the future! read more

We had a wonderful experience with Rasheed Photography! Rasheed so was awesome wrangling our crazy boys and managed to get all four of us smiling at the same time. The quality of the images was excellent and we had many options to choose time- with other photographers we were lucky to get one! If you are looking for a photographer in the bay area, I would definitely support choosing Rasheed Photography. read more

We wanted to finally get some professional images of our 3 yr-old to give to the grandparents as Christmas gifts. Though we were just a few weeks before Christmas, Rasheed Photography made it happen. Hasain was a pleasure to work with. He is friendly, laid back and because he has kids of his own, he totally worked around our child's activities. We got terrific images--and I'm not sure how he managed that chasing our boy around our backyard. Wholeheartedly recommend Hasain and Rasheed Photography for your personal/event/you-name-it photography needs. And, service was prompt, friendly and professional! Totally great experience--100% satisfied. read more

Hasain took family photos for us last year for our extended family including 6 adults and 3 toddlers. He was so patient and friendly and did a great job of getting photos of the kids (not an easy task!) by promoting a comfortable environment for them. We loved the photos and used them in our holiday cards. Joanna did all the scheduling via email and was responsive and easy to communicate with. They make a great team and we look forward to working with them again as our family grows. read more

Hasain took amazing pictures of our family and managed to capture our cranky 10 month old daughter in some great shots! The actual photo shoot was about an hour and somehow he captured some great family photos for us. Hasain is kind, laid back, professional and a great guy to be around! His wife Joanna is very professional and helpful. Thank you both for some great pictures of our baby girl! read more

Rasheed Photography is our only choice for family photos. Hasain has an amazing eye and wonderful demeanor that brings out the best pictures in us. 5 stars all the way! read more

Rasheed Photography is the best. Hasain has a wonderful demeanor and relaxed way about him which puts his subjects at ease. Our favorite wedding photos were the candid ones that he took. He has an amazing eye and catches very sweet, authentic and intimate moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. Can't recommend him enough! read more

Hasain is the absolute BEST photographer I've worked with, hands down! As an event planner, it's so important to have a professional photographer that is on time, great with clients, and produces amazing work. I've worked with Hasain for years, and no one is able to capture beautiful photos in any light like him. If you want the best, you should definitely book him today! read more

After the fact, and with everything done, I can't imagine having had anybody other than Hasain shoot our wedding. He was kinda and easy to deal with during the planning phases, along with Joanna, putting up with our obvious lack of experience. Each time we set up a meeting, what had been a stressful set of dates on a calendar, or checkmark on a long list, turned into a warm conversation and an easy solution for whatever issues my wife and I had hung up on. The engagement session worked out very well, giving us a chance to learn how to be comfortable in front of the camera, and giving Hasain a chance to see how odd we could be. In the end there were some real gems, ranging from playful moments at the water's edge, to some particularly heroic photos that I didn't think us capable of. The wedding itself was a whirlwind (as I'm told they often are) but Hasain's composed and calm demeanor helped assure that everything that needed photographing, was photographed. He set up our first look, guaranteeing that no matter what the weather did, we had some perfectly put together photos of us bride and groom. I can't say I kept track of him during the ceremony, my attention was elsewhere, but the photo evidence is there. I can't emphasize enough how great it was to have Hasain there to capture so much family together. There are photos in there of moments I never thought would have happened, and while my wife and I were only able to cover so much ground, the photos allow us a fun perspective on all else that was going on that day. In summary, Hasain is incredibly hard working, wonderfully pleasant to be around, and was a pleasure to have anchor a moment in time that my wife and I treasure. read more

We used Rasheed photography for a family portrait and it was a wonderful experience. Hasain has a great eye and excellent suggestions for where to take photos in the neighborhood. They run a nice little shop in the Temescal Alley where you can see his work, and doing the scheduling and billing with Joanna via email was a breeze. I would highly recommend Hasain for anyone looking for a photographer. read more

I just had a round birthday, and my children surprised me with a beautiful, magnificent picture book of my children and grandchildren. H. Rasheed took all the pictures and I couldn't believe how gorgeous they are, and most important, how he got our grand-children to pose and smile and have fun and look so natural, in a way that nobody can. The composition, the colors, the artistic arrangement and choreography, I am totally in awe. - Nobody does a better job. It's as simple as that. read more

Hasain did a great job with our family pictures. He was easy to work with and I would highly recommend booking him!!

We've now had three photo session with Hasain over the years. We love working with him and we have been pleased with the results each and every time. Hasain is so easy to work with and he does a great job of wrangling our two little ones. I'm so pleased to have such a gorgeous record of our two kids growing up, and we plan to continue to schedule regular sessions with Hasain. read more

We couldn't be happier with our experience with Hasain and Joanna! Hasain took pictures of my family and my sister's family (including four kids between the ages of 2-9!), and the results were just beautiful. We are usually kinda camera averse, but the pictures turned out great. The setting was thoughtfully chosen, we felt at ease, and we look like ourselves, rather than stiff or posed versions of ourselves. Hasain has such a mellow and kind presence, the kids immediately took to him and followed his guidance. He even worked some magic (repeatedly over 1.5 hours!) to get my two year old to participate. Joanna was a friendly, prompt, and professional presence throughout the process of finding a date, paying, and considering pictures and products. Together they make the experience easy and fun! I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

When I looked for a wedding photographer, I looked at EVERYONE in the greater Bay Area. I had a spreadsheet going! I assigned points for creativity (oh look, a line of bridesmaids all smiling stiffly -- no!), style (what I liked), and most importantly, for portfolio photos that showed deep emotion. I still remember one photo on Hasain's page. It was of the groom, sitting in the back of his wedding car, about to get married. His face showed such deep emotion, happiness and anxiety and all of those emotions you don't realize you'll feel on your wedding day. It wasn't staged, there is no way it could have been. It was a moment that Hasain captured. I wanted to have those moments captured at my wedding. And they were. I highly recommend Hasain Rasheed! read more

Hasain was referred to us by a friend who did her family portraits with him. We were so impressed that we asked him to do our wedding ----and then our family portraits. Recently I used him for my commercial business pictures and highly recommend him for both commercial and personal photos. Rasheed did an excellent job on our family photos. He was extremely professional punctual and flexible

We hired Hasain for a last-minute shoot for our wedding day at San Francisco City Hall, and Jack London Square. Hasain came highly-recommended from a close friend (and trusted source), and we were both very impressed with his eye. He was attentive to our needs without having gone through a single trial run, was incredibly flexible, and above all else, was a total blast to work with. We would highly recommend him to anyone for any special day you wish to capture with pro at the helm! read more

Hasain was the photographer for our wedding in August and we could not have asked for a better person to be a part of such a special and intimate day. Hasain was highly recommended by friends of ours who had gone to middle school with him and his wife and from the first moment we met, we knew we were working with the right people. Joanna and Hasain are genuine, warm and extremely professional. They asked us a ton of questions (questions about things we didn't know to think about) which ultimately, helped make our wedding day a lot less stressful and way more enjoyable. Hasain has a wonderful mix of confidence and total lack of ego. Everyone at the wedding that interacted with him kept telling me how great he was and how much they saw him constantly moving around the room trying to capture as much of the day as he could. That really showed up in our pictures. They are truly beautiful. Filled with the emotions of joy, grief and love which permeated our wedding. We could not be happier and could not more highly recommend Hasain and the entire Rasheed Photography business. read more
