I got a replacement 350 long block to match the other engine in my twin engine boat. Pricing, the fast shipping, and dealing with Raul on this build was great. This engine was built with factory style dished pistons and a flat tappet cam. After 10 hours of light use the engine was trashed. The oil was glittery and when my mechanic opened up the bottom end, all of the bearing were scored from metal shavings in the oil. Apparently the block wasn't properly cleaned after machining and there was metal shavings inside the oil passages. My mechanic also told be the block was bored 60 thousands over and should never have been sold as a remanufactured marine engine. Yes, the cam was broken in with a high zinc oil and run at 2500-3000 rpm, then the oil was changed and filter cut open and inspected. read more

Absolutely horrible company, ordered an engine. Paid a shop to install it, engine didn't even make it thru its first break in trip. Rapido said to send the engine back and they would send a replacement or a full refund. Once I sent off the engine they quit answering calls and emails and ghosted. after 10 months of random calls I finally got them to answer off a different number. Told me my warranty was canceled and then went back to ghosting me. I'm out an engine and the money I paid them, DO NOT TRUST these crooks, do your research. read more

Got my 305 Mercruiser replacement long block from these guys in 2016. Great price and very fast shipping by freight, and shipping costs were unbelievably cheap for such a heavy item. I believe they sold me a brand new unit and not a reman, looked awesome and they also included a gasket kit. They also answered all of my questions right away and i felt comfortable with the purchase. I believe i was speaking with the owner Raul. I have been using this motor for 3 years, still runs smooth and strong! I've taken at least 40 trips to Catalina from Long Beach and never had a problem with their build. Im estimating close to 300 hours. Good customer service, good product, excellent product support, way cheaper than everyone else. Engines are no good. Rust that was painted over and peeling. All used internal parts. Just got this block unboxed and its shocking. I was told I was getting a professionally remanufactured engine. This is rebuilt at best not remanufactured. Tried to save 200 dollars. y not using summit racing. Big Mistake. read more

The worst shop!!!! honestly I'm really upset and unsatisfied with them job!! The owner at the first time shows the best of him but then ... Every time I tried to talk to him .. He disappeared!!! Raul is his name, very rude and unprofessional!!! They charged so much more than what estimated at the beginning and even more they did very bad job, putting used parts paid as new! They take almost 5 weeks to do what they told me to do in 10 days... And when the boat wasn't ready yet they rushed me to take it.. Just because supposed to come an hurricane and they need the trailer to take other boat to parking somewhere and get more money!!And they wanted to charge to me 300$ at day if I didn't take it!!! There is no reason for a motor to be in such bad shape, from the start. The first engine they sent had a crack in it. Immediately visible. Had to send it back and wait for another. When the second one came, it looked fine. It wasn't. After less than 70 hours running, I was left in the middle of the lake. Engine wouldn't turn. Come to find out, it has already been bored over 60 and can't be repaired. At all. The engine shop was kind of amazed. I guess it goes without saying but, ALWAYS buy local when you can. Purchase a reman engine, as soon as I unboxed it I knew I had been scammed. Per their description on the site and from speaking to someone on the phone, I was told the heads would be thoroughly disassembled, cleaned and new valvesprongs and retainers would be installed. I actually paid an upgrade charge for a better cam and springs. The heads looked like they were pulled from a junkyard and power washed. You could see spiral grease marks where they didn't get behind the old used springs very well. Whe. I primed the oil pump, it pumped old oil and sludge out of the pushrods. It was very clear the heads were never disassembled or properly cleaned and there were definitely not any new parts installed. Called to return the engine and was basically ghosted. Ended up installing the engine, being out of any other options. The engine never ran 100% and after a season of use the, it has to come out and come back apart. One or more of the intake valves are leaking and popping through the carburetor. I am a certified mechanic, certified in engine building. I have built and installed plenty of engines over my career. I have never seen a more blatant case of incompetence than rapido marine. Do not use this company. read more

Rapido Marine is a really amazing company! The 350 engine I bought to replace my 305 cost $500-$1000 less than I could find from other websites. They shipped to me in 2 days and it only cost $150 which blew my mind. Most impressive was the customer service. The owner answered all my questions before I bought the engine so I was very confident that the engine was going to work for me. After I received the engine he was also very helpful with advice on getting the accessories swapped over.
