No one could possibly believe all the trouble I've had - for weeks and weeks and weeks - even…read morehaving to get an expensive driving extension from the DMV. There was no smog-check place that was able to figure out why my 2006 Honda Civic kept "failing," and the suggestions I got were always about my car's battery. Repeatedly, I was told to put on an additional 40-60 miles on my car, and then all would be alright. Never happened. As a last-ditch effort, I located Smog of The Canyon, phoned the location, and reached a very nice owner. I hurriedly headed there, and Ash (the owner) was out there, actually waiting for my arrival. Then began so much work on behalf of Ash, who'd show me negative results each time, but one thing he carefully - and patiently - explained to me was that this really wasn't the battery but, in fact, the catalyst, blah-blah-blah. When he SHOWED me everything under my car's hood, I was so impressed, especially how he explained it all to me. So many details (and please forgive my memory loss as to all of it), but Ash really, REALLY knew what he was talking about. So that very same morning, I got onto the14 freeway northbound - because I shouldn't brake or stop or anything else but just drive, drive, drive, drive, drive. When I returned (after finding an exit ramp that I could then continue on BACK, without any stopping. Alas, there was a block-up of three lanes on the 14, so that ended up not working - after putting on 83 miles (sigh). But then Ash had the most intelligent - and great idea: to leave my car with him, and he'd do his best to put on enough "uninterrupted" mileage to get a "PASS." He did this several times - whilst I stayed home, comfortably using my fan for all the continuing heat indoors. Late last night (Friday), he rang me up to tell me the unbelievable G O O D news: my smog check finally PASSED!!! If only any or all of you reads knew just how exceptionally solid Ash was with his concerns and caring. I've left out SO much, but I'm telling you all THIS: Ash is phenomenal. He understood the problem(s), and put in effort after effort. I eventually left him with my Honda so that he could drive it, instead of his OWN car!!! So last night - after literally months, then days, with non-experts, all of whom "failed", Ash was able to say he would drive over my car, then we'd drive back in my car back to his shop, so he could finally have back his OWN car! As for his abilities, his salesperson-ship, his shop itself, all was outstanding. In his shop, in the two waiting areas, he always has refreshments and good snacks available for all his clients. The entire place - even the rest room - were clean as can be. The shop felt inviting and comfortable. As for ASH, what more can I SAY?! He is THE - and I repeat that - THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Truly, go here, and nowhere else, and you'll get PERSONAL care concerning your smog check, and I'm feeling like an entirely new person, this morning, only hours after all of Ash's tedious attention to and work ON my 2006 Honda Civic. This man is beyond extraordinarily WONDERFUL!!!! And, by the way, I slept all through last night, after all the weeks, even months, trying to get my car to PASS a smog check. Wherever you are - near or further away - going to Ash's shop is rewarding in ever and every so many ways. ASH, I THANK YOU FROM ALL THE PARTS OF MY HEART, and I am immensely happy and filled with gratitude for ALL you went through just for ME... and my car. Again, there are details I've left out, but ASH IS SUPERB, as a technician, as a business owner, and especially as a highly decent and HONORABLE human being! I'm going to try to spread the word, dear Ash (and wife, who had to wait at home for his super-late arrivals back TO his own home). THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
