On a Monday morning: The First Lady that answered was sweet and kind and helpful she told me what the fee was like $304. It was towed during the holiday and weekend hours. She told me the cost wouldn't go up until after 5pm. I call back later that afternoon and a lady answered to me it sounded like the women I had spoke to earlier, she said my car was now 318 dollars. I explained that I was told the price would not increase until after 5pm from her. She told me I didn't speak to her earlier that day actually. And there was an 11 dollar additional charge for something. Here's the deal, my car was towed. I have to pay a lot of money for it. I couldn't get it out on holiday, so it cost more... all my fault. But I don't think it's appropriate for the the receptionist working there to give me an attitude because I was told the price wouldn't increase until after 5pm and it did. It was horrible customer service from that second ladies attitude. I do not appreciate it. I am not impressed by it. Get an attitude adjustment lady. You work in customer service.

The driver showed up with a trainee, the driver had only been on the job for 1 week and yet he was…read moretraining someone. The driver hooked up a chain around my driveshaft and proceeded to pull the truck onto the flatbed. After the trainee mentioned it, I took pictures of a chain wrapped around the driveshaft, not J-hooks but a chain wrapped around the driveshaft and attempting to pull it onto the flatbed. Once the chain was bound up on the driveshaft and wouldn't move further, he had to let it back down and unbind the chain. Then the driver decided that he was going to load my truck onto the flatbed the other direction. The driver, Corey, said that he felt sick that the chain got bound up and and that if there was damage done, it was his fault and he was very sorry for it. Corey also said this same statement in front of my wife, at which time he gave me his personal phone number and told me to call him and let him know what damage there was. Now, Lilac City Towing is saying that they didn't do any damage and that they are sorry that I am having these problems with my truck. Out of all the times that I have needed a tow truck with my other vehicles, I have NEVER had a tow truck driver give me his personal phone number and tell me to call him and let him know what damage was done. Corey knew that he messed up and his supervisor obviously told him to deny everything because when he called me, his story was different and he said that they didn't do any damage. I wish I could post pictures and steer people away from this company. We will see what the attorney has to say as well as my insurance company, they can go after them for the damages and watch them try to deny it with pictures.

The Pro-Tow shop is 7 minutes from my house, my house is 20 minutes from my mechanic and my mechanic is 20 minutes from their shop. They charged me for two hours, implying that it takes an hour and fifteen minutes to load and unload a van, something my usual tow guy does in 10 minutes. Absolutely disheartening.

On 01-15-24 I needed a tow. AAA advised me that Amity would be coming. There was a misunderstanding between AAA and Amity, which was discovered after a male from Amity called me, so the service was cancelled. (I needed a tow not a jump.) I called AAA back to start another tow. While doing so the male from Amity called. I told him the request was cancelled and it was fine. He was nice. AAA texted me another tow was coming and called to tell me it was Amity again. I thought, perfect, use someone local and support small business. I called the male again just to make sure everyone was on the same page. He assured me that I would be taken care of and apologized for the delay. He went on to say there were three tows before me and that another employee called out today because, "They worked too hard the day before". This should have been the first red flag, talking bad about your employees. I commented, "He's the man", as in getting the job done. He replied that he didn't know about that because, "He doesn't wear the pants in the family. She's in the office". Ouch another red flag. I asked if I needed to call the office to make sure everything was confirmed. He told me no and assured me everything was good. AAA text advised the Amity tow would arrive by 2:05pm. After 3:00pm, I called the office and a woman answered the phone. I told her who I was and wanted to make sure they were still able to get my vehicle before closing. She told me they weren't coming. I was shocked! I questioned her. She told me it was cancelled this morning. I tried to tell her the tow was called again. She proceeded to tell me that she told AAA they couldn't do it because they were too busy. Frustrated and in a hurry I said goodbye and hung up. I immediately received a text from Amity saying, "If you were nicer, I could have tried to help you. Fix your attitude". I tried calling back three times, but she blocked my call. I tried calling the male and he wouldn't answer. I returned a text, "Real nice. Whoever took my call, said you were coming. Shame on you". I will never use your business and I'll be sure to tell everyone I know how horrible you are, including AAA.

They towed us and our pickup to their shop in Cheney, gave us a ride to the hotel, and promised to have our repair completed first thing on Tuesday. They replaced the alternator at the expected cost, picked us up at the hotel, and we were on the road again before noon. We were very impressed with their customer service, feeling they went above and beyond to help us get home.
