The staff , specifically…read moreMaggie who refused to provide her last name upon multiple requests, was RUDE, and GASLIT me after a HORRIBLE experience where I was literally stabbed with a large needle with no blood results to provide my Dr. who ordered the labs. Not only was the 'poke' improperly executed, the wrong needle size was used, I told them my concerns beforehand with a new trainee attempting to draw my blood and told the "team lead' of my concerns. After I was in tears I expressed I was triggered by her harsh behavior and she went down the hall to call someone else, screaming "make her leave". I was turned away from this place for expressing my discomfort in their staff and the rude employee who made me feel unsafe. I told them I still had a urine test to do which didn't require a blood draw and left because the employees were completely incompetent and unable to coordinate a sufficient effort, they were devoid of any care. IN SHORT, HERE THEY ARE RUDE , THE STAFF IS UNNECESSARILY AGGRESSIVE AND INCOMPETENT... WHEN YOU HAVE OTHER CHOICES , CHOOSE BETTER AND DO NOT GO HERE.

The technicians who have drawn my blood are exceptionally good at drawing blood and, for the past couple years, have been friendly -- obviously some more than others. I always schedule and appointment and have never waited more than five minutes. Last time, a couple months, I walked in the door and two technicians greeted me and invited me back before I had a chance to sit down. I was done in less than 10 minutes from the time I opened the door until I walked out. I have no complaints and, in fact, once noted an email address on the wall to make compliments -- or complaints -- and sent in some positive feedback. I got a friendly response very soon after and appreciated that. I imagine it's not the easiest job to work with different people who all have different expectations of their visit based upon why they are there and also prior experiences with medical appointments, but everyone I've seen has been professional and competent. The girl instructed that we will be pointed where to sit at this time. I was a little uncomfortable. There was a lady sitting in a chair behind the desk no nothing no good morning just pointing. So after I got my chair, I sat there and I sat there so I was looking around and the finger pointer was the lady taking my blood. She rudely said yeah I'll be right over rudely I turned and I said to myself oh wow, so I watched her take her time and do her paperwork sorting it then she came over 10 minutes later put the paperwork down and said verify your name and birthdate. Then after I did, she said what arm again not very polite. I asked her to wear a mask and I think that's where it took a turn, but I did call over during the week and asked them if I request them to wear a mask. They said no problem so after she said what I was gonna leave and I said you are making me uncomfortable you're uncomfortable. Do you want someone else I said yes I do. She yelled across the way and asked her coworker. Can you come draw her because she's uncomfortable. Then she went back over and told everybody what happened and all of the people at the lab were staring at me and thank God the girl who came over to take my blood had a mask on because she was sick. I was there just a little too long and it was a little too rude I will never ever go back to this lab ever again. I have never experienced anything like this.

When I went to the entrance, there was a sign inside the door, behind the hours of operation, saying "Emergency closure, Sorry for the inconvenience." No one had called to cancel my appointment or to let me know not to come. Nor did anyone call afterwards to apologize. I called paratransit to see if they could arrange an earlier pickup, and they did their best, but I still had to wait an hour and a half outdoors, in damp, low thirties weather. I am 75 years old. There were no open restaurants, coffee shops or any place to shelter within walking distance. I think this is unacceptable.
