Dr. Kapoor was a visit because my PCP was unavailable. She contradicted the diagnosis I'd received a week earlier (this was to be follow-up for pneumonia) and told me i had asthma problems because I have animals. She told me to get rid of my animals and prescribed medication for reflux, because I am overweight. What an idiot! Our doctor now is Thuy Le-Rathell. She is wonderful, caring and competent. Unfortunately, she left for vacation and my husband needed a maintenance medication refilled. It took literally over 10 phone calls to their office, the insurance company and the pharmacy to get it straightened out. The doc who issued the refill did it first without a diagnosis code, then with an address for UPMC in Pittsburgh that the pharmacy could not accommodate. Thank heavens for the insurance company concierge! Save yourself the time and frustration. Go elsewhere. They don't give a damn.

You can't find better care in the area! My two sons also go to him, and one of those sons only goes to a doctor unless if it's almost a life and death need! He actually like Dr Syed. Dr. Costa is nonjudgmental and I was always able to get an appointment within 24 hours if I was sick. She always takes time to answer questions, and I always had a LOT of them. We made decisions about my health care together. She got to know me and treated me like the kind of patient I want to be -- someone who takes part in healthcare decisions, not someone who blindly follows doctor's orders without understanding the reasons and the risks. She even supported me when I said I wanted to try to manage my diabetes with diet and exercise instead of the medication she wanted to prescribe. I like Dr. Costa so much that for a year after I moved I kept her as my doctor even though it meant driving two hours each way to appointments! That didn't work out so well when I was really sick so I had to break down and find a doctor locally. (She did prescribe for me over the phone, though, when I was sick and unable to make the drive.) No charge for calling in prescriptions, unlike my current doctor who charges 25 bucks! They maintain records on a computerized system (also unlike my current doc who uses paper records). It makes it easy for them to compare test results to track progress. One complaint: when I did change doctors I asked for a copy of my medical records and they cost more than 100 bucks! They had to be ordered through some other company that manages records requests. I suspect (though I'm not sure) that I could've had them directly sent to my new doctor perhaps at no charge) but I wanted a copy myself as well. I feel like the charge is unreasonable because my insurance company and I already paid for the creation of the records. I understand a small copying fee, like 20 cents a page or something to cover costs, but this ended up being much, much more than that per page. Anyway, 5 stars for Dr. Costa, zero stars for the office policy on paying for records.

I spent years in tanning beds when I was younger and was concerned about UV damage. He noted countless moles on my body that were documented, photographed and watched year over year. After he retired, I saw Elizabeth Anderson who was the same as Dr. Parnes. Thorough, patient and informative as well. She listened to my concerns, remembered personal information every time I came and was extremely polite and professional. I currently see Jamie Restivo after I went in for an acute skin rash that she handled because Dr. Anderson was backed up. We totally clicked and so I've since switched to having her as my main provider. She is also very professional, polite and as sweet as can be. Very informative, she literally explains the why behind everything, addresses all skin concerns (esp the ones I have about aging) and really listens and takes her time with each appointment. She is concise and recommends products and procedures but ultimately goes with whatever you're comfortable with. Could not be happier there. It can be nerve-wracking to get a skin check. You're basically stark naked (with a sheet over your of course) but being scrutinized for every lump, bump and discoloration on your body -- but they've always made me feel very comfortable and address every question or concern I've had. I've had numerous moles and lesions removed over time due to them looking off or concerning. Most were benign but one did come back as basal cell carcinoma, so very glad they caught that! Great practice, beautiful bright and clean office and wonderful providers all around.

The staff are friendly, nurses are nice and the doctor and PA are absolutely great and very thorough. The Geisinger and Holy Spirit merger have elevated health care in this system to a new level. The combined resources make for an excellent and efficient system for care, testing, and referrals. I highly recommend this doctors office for a primary care physician.

This was my…read morefirst visit to this medical facility, which opened in October 2021 and offers inpatient/outpatient and emergency room services. It is a modern, state-of-the-art medical center conveniently located on the West Shore of Harrisburg; driving to Hershey is no longer necessary. My hubby received excellent care for his outpatient procedure, there is plenty of free parking and staff very helpful in locating where you need to go.

As someone who chooses to self-pay rather than pay extremely high monthly premiums for a family plan, this was really frustrating. With recent changes, many families no longer qualify for subsidies and are facing very expensive insurance options, so choosing to self-pay is becoming more common. Because of that, it would be really helpful to see more practices offer options for families who are willing and able to pay directly for care. I was also told vaccines are too expensive without insurance, which felt a bit assumptive. Many self-pay families understand the costs and are prepared for them. Sharing this so other parents who are self-pay are aware before reaching out.
