Visited AspireCARE earlier today with my boyfriend. We are both patients at the Aspire family practice side. He needed some medication because of his chronic lower back pain that he has had for a long time now. Once before, he was prescribed a narcotic medication from them that actually helped ease the pain he has been suffering with. We were told today that they are not able to prescribe any type of medication like that to him anymore. The female doctor we saw, had kind of a smirk on her face when she told us the bad news, like she really didn't care. And okay, so it's bad news that they couldn't help us. But the fact that we had to make a $72 payment before seeing the doctor, it makes it feel like we were robbed, especially because we were maybe seen for 2 minutes at most. We had no idea that they couldn't prescribe this type of medication more than once.I feel that they should have this information displayed or atleast run by the patient for review before you make the payment. If we would have known this information beforehand, we wouldn't have handed over money that we really don't have to spend. Also they don't seem to get to know their patients very well on either side of the building. They had his medical information in the system but the service was always so rushed. Honestly I feel we would have been better off going to the emergency room instead of AspireCARE, but you know, don't have the money. We are never going to this doctor's office again! read more

I find it concerning that when my husband went back because the antibiotic he was on was not working (nobody's fault), but when my husband told me the doctor prescribed a new antibiotic and then told him to hold onto the antibiotic that didn't work for an infection that might occur down the road, I was a little taken back. He then said, I don't know if I should take the new antibiotic yet because I already took one of the prior antibiotics this morning, I said, didn't the doctor advise you on this? He said, no. So I called up the pharmacy and asked the pharmacist and she said it was ok to start the new prescription right away and to throw the old one away. I said, the doctor told him to hold onto it for an infection that might occur down the road and she was taken back that a doctor would suggest that. She said, not ever antibiotic works for every infection. She said for example an antibiotic used for a sinus infection is not the same antibiotic that you would use for a bladder infection. She then stressed that the prior antibiotic should be thrown away right away. read more

This is not my regular Dr (but that may change) but stopped in on a walk-in basis for an ailment and was very impressed. Minimal wait time, very friendly office staff and Dr Rayner was very nice and thorough. They sent my prescription direct to the pharmacy and it was ready in 10 minutes when I got there. No complaints at all... I may even switch Dr's over this experience. I like my current Dr but the office staff is horrible, long hold times when calling etc, unfriendly. I got through the first time at Aspire when calling. I have loyalties to my current Dr but also getting tired of dealing with the office staff.... read more

I stopped into AspireCARE after visiting another urgent care facility down the street that had a 3+ hour wait and somewhat rude staff. Talk about night and day! The entire atmosphere was just calming: an easy check-in process, extremely nice staff and was seen after 10 minutes. The entire experience was unlike I've ever had with an urgent care and can't recommend this place enough! The follow-up was great and just really kind/caring people from front desk to Dr. White and every nurse I've interacted with. I honestly can't think of anything they could improve upon. It's one of those gems that you want to keep a secret so it doesn't get busier, but they deserve the recognition for being so great! read more

When I first came to this practice I was very happy. I think I was there for two appointments, and on the third it went downhill. There was a problem with my insurance (Blue Cross had processed claims incorrectly for my entire company) and I was aware of this when the front desk staff discussed a balance with me while checking in. I explained, and I also pointed out that they charged me a co-pay for a physical, and I shouldn't be. After arguing with me AND discussing my CONFIDENTIAL medical record in front of the entire waiting room. The last was the final blow I WAS REFUSED SERVICE because of a balance. I called ahead to make sure I could pay half of my balance, and when I got there... they refused my payment and refused to see me. WOW... Pretty sure this is illegal. read more

While I am not a fan of any reason to GO to Urgent Care I am thankful to have a place like Aspire to use when I need it. Unfortunately I've had to use them a number of times for various reasons, mainly pesky coughs and one time a tick. But each time they've been fast and efficient. I'll mention my 4 main visits that prompt this lovely review. For me I went in after having a cough for 13 days a couple of years go. The staff was very friendly and they moved me through, gave me a chest x ray, and I was diagnosed with pneumonia. I was soon better with the right meds. My son was also coughing another time maybe a year or 2 ago and I just couldn't get it remedied in time so we took him there and they gave him a shot of something that literally took it away within minutes and with the meds and inhaler they prescribed he was better in no time! Then last year my daughter had a tick and they were able to remove it, identify it, and give her the proper antibiotics. Finally last week they took my poor coughing daughter in at 7:30 in the evening with a recurring fever, do a chest xray, get it to tristan and get the results back while we were still there and had her pneumonia diagnosis and treatment plan by 8pm. All of this for only a $30 copay which is not much more than I pay at my family doctor who I can't always get in a pinch. Its nice to feel secure that there's a place to go for acute non-emergent issues. read more

My wife and I have seen Dr. Robles (who btw is a great doctor) for years. However as many others have said the front desk staff are consistently and obnoxiously rude. We've both had to deal with nasty condescending attitudes during so many calls to our doctor that I think our future as patients here is in question. This time it was Mariah who was impatient, nasty, and condescending to us on the phone to the point where my wife is thinking about opening a complaint directly with the department of health. When it gets to the point where front desk staff are creating barriers to receiving medical care, and management ignores the issue, it's time to get the state involved. Truly unacceptable when so many people have made complaints and no action is taken. Unfortunately because their portal doesn't work and they won't fix it, I have no way to contact my doctor except through the front desk. It's truly unfortunate. read more

Awesome experience with my 2 3/4 daughter from out of town (visiting Hershey park). We went in with cold/vomiting/ diarrhea symptoms and they performed a Chest X-ray on-site (luckily no pneumonia!) the practitioner literally gave us her own daughter's clothes so that my daughter wouldn't be covered in her own stink! I have been going here for over 6 years and was very happy. When Dr Raynor left to make more money, I started seeing the new doctor who joined the group. Had my annual exam and all seemed fine. Then I had to get a script refilled. I'd been taking that med for over 4 years and I was told it'll take 72 hours or so for the renewal to be authorized!!! I told them I was going on vacation and needed the pills. This was NOT for a controlled substance. It's been over 96 hours and still no renewal. I found a new practice to transfer to. I also was lucky and went to a specialist I had been seeing and he gave me the script when he heard this story. read more

We had a terrible experience. I took my young son one evening at the recommendation of his pediatrician. The PA-C we met with was very rude. It was uncomfortable and unnecessary. I called the next day to speak to the office manager about our experience. I had to leave a message which she did not bother to return. We will never return and I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

I got off the Pinnacle Health wagon as they were terrible. At one point you could nor call into your doctors office, but had to call into a phone bank who would relay a message to your doctor. In another I was delayed downstairs at their checking before going upstairs to see my physician, which took me more than 10 minutes, and they had already cancelled my appointment by the time I got upstairs. AND THEN I FOUND ASPIRE! They are not part of pinnacle, are proactive, get me in and out in as timely manner, and I love my doctor. They know who I am when I walk in the door and I believe they do care about me and my quality of life. A+++++. read more

We've had to use Aspire several times and our single complaint is not being able to use them for all health care needs. Not only was the sign in simple, wait time was 15 minutes. We saw a DOCTOR, not the P.A. our primary care office loves to slide into the scedule. She was terrific, actually looks at your child, never looked at her watch once ( a bigger deal than you'd think lately ) and had a sense of humor. And was right. We've been there 3 times so far. They're a little far from where we live but we're giving serious thought to being put on their waiting list as patients. Why go elsewhere when you find a practice like this? read more

Arrived on a Saturday with chills, cough and slight headache. The doctor who saw me said it was allergies and take over the counter medicine. A few hours later my wife had to call 911 and I spent the next four days in the ER, ICU and hospital for pneumonia and blood infection along with low blood pressure. I cannot say enough great things about this place! We were on vacation and my 7 year old son split his chin open. We stopped here along the way home to get it looked at. The front desk was great! And we got in very quickly. The Doctor we saw was amazing! She calmed my son and helped fix up his chin. She even put up with his crying antics. So very patient. Do not go here for counseling. There is a reason they keep Susan Rooke in the basement. She will not help you and shouldn't be licensed to counsel. She rents out the basement of Aspire. She boasted about how much money she has. She insulted me and used foul language. At the end of our first individual session, she told me she had nothing to say to me and offered no advice. read more

Honestly they shouldn't even get one star, I've been trying to get my correct prescription from them for over six months and every month they messed up my prescription. when I call in and say -hey this is wrong this is not what I normally take, I get the runaround from Stephanie in the front and all the staff. I try to get directed to Angie the office manager and they put me on hold for almost an hour. When I hang up and call back one woman is about to transfer me to Angie's voicemail, but I hear the other women in the back go "oh no no no put her back on hold " This is the worst establishment to go to, their front end women are pompous and rude to their clients as I have witnessed on many occasions even in the urgent care side, and when you try to ask for Dr. White or Angie they do not transfer you through, maybe it's because they think you'll complain about their poor performance. I'm pulling myself and my children and my husband and we will never go back, and it's a shame because Dr. Robles is actually a good doctor. It is too bad he is encircled by incompetent people who cannot perform their job adequately. read more

I transferred to family medicine after a bad experience and thought the office looked capable of treating my family. While they are capable doctor wise, the front office staff is horrible. They treat the patients like a burden and are not helpful, you'd think they work for the government and you are only on their time. When I call the office, i'm always put on hold....ALWAYS. When they speak to you, they are rude and they like to blame the patient for the office staff's mistakes. The one day I had to use urgent care, an older woman working the phones got off the phone with a patient and proceeded to talk bad about her after she finished her call...with a room full of waiting people sitting in the waiting room. If you can deal with the rudeness of the front office, the doctor (which you won't see much) and the nurses or practitioners are okay. read more

I have been a patient at aspire since they first opened, when it was just Dr. Rayner and Dr. White. I'm giving them five stars because I love all of the physicians and PAs. Not so much the office staff or billing department. It took me many months to get a billing problem corrected and I had to send multiple documents to the office so they could correct a balance due on my account that I had paid. In addition in recent months every time I've called the office I have been put on hold for 3 to 5 minutes, it gets very frustrating when you have a simple question and sit on hold for that length of time, I believe they need more office staff. I had a similar situation when I moved in trying to get my address changed. Most recently, I was seen by the urgent care physician and was told I was being referred for additional testing and I should expect to hear from someone in the office within the next day or two to get that scheduled. After three days I hadn't heard so I called the office. The person I spoke with said they would look into it and call me back; it is now a week and a half later and I have not heard back I've tried to call twice and I've been put on hold for five minutes each time and ended up hanging up. I will try one more time tomorrow read more

Dr. White of Aspire Urgent Care was in my opinion condescending, and exhibited completely unethical behavior. I visited the clinic twice. The first visit I did not meet Dr. White. However, upon my my second visit- more than a year after my first visit- I had the displeasure of meeting him. At the time of my second visit, I was informed that there was some problem the year earlier and that there was a balance remaining on my account from a previous visit due to an insurance mishap. However, after verifying that my current insurance was valid and would cover the costs of my present visit, Dr. White said he would waive the charges of the first visit because his office had made no attempt to notify me of the problem or collect from my other insurance company. However, several days after I had been seen the second time by his office, (and after suffering from sever bronchitis, a sinus infection, and flu for more than a week) I returned to get a doctor's note excusing me from two days of work that I missed while sick. At that time Dr. White said if I wanted him to write the doctors note verifying that I was sick so that I could keep my job, then I would have to pay for the balance from more than a year earlier. To recap: thats the same balance he had already said not to worry about. He intentionally withheld medical documentation necessary for me to keep my job unless I paid a bill - not from the recent, relevant visit, which had been fully paid for- but from a visit more than a year and a half earlier. In my opinion, this constitutes unethical behavior. As if that wasn't enough, throughout the course of our conversation he reminded me three times that HE and not I was the doctor, and that If I didnt like it I should call my lawyer. Doctors who are condescending are unbearable. It was as if Dr. White thought he was better than the whole world because he went to medical school. He then said, something along the lines of: "I go to work sick all the time, im here seeing patients even when I am sick, there's no reason why you need a note excusing you from work, unless of course you pay the year old bill first." This is not acceptable behavior for a professional in the medical field, and I highly recommend against visiting aspire urgent care. Treating patients like they are dirt, and attempting to extort more money out of them is in my opinion a clear violation of a doctor's ethical duty. read more
