I would appreciate if this review could find its way to Dr. Michael Krall. Dr. Krall is a very good…read moredoctor who created rapport with both of my children in his previous practice. Since the dissolution of that practice, I have been consistently disappointed with his corporate overseers at UPMC. The last few visits my son and I have waited in the waiting room for a minimum of 20 minutes. This past visit, I was told that he could not be seen because 1. I went into the "sick" entrance instead of the "healthy" entrance, and 2. They have a five minute late policy, and it was 8:06. Dr. Krall, you are a good doctor who inspired trust in my children. You gave them their first inoculations when they were just a few weeks old. And now because of your affiliation with UPMC, you will never see them as patients again. Please break free from UPMC. You are being managed by accountants who expect you to be a means to their production goals instead of an advocate for the children you treat.

If your child has autism, or may have autism, this is the last pediatrician's office you want to…read moresee. Before my son was diagnosed with autism, Dr. Burks kept telling me not to worry about him not speaking or having autism. Another doctor told me that becuase he was a happy baby and wasn't screaming when they touched him, that he definitely didn't have autism. I didn't listen to them and took him to Penn state health and he was diagnosed with autism. If I would have listened to heritage pediatrics, I would have never got him tested. Fast forward a few years, my son had a suspected UTI. I took in a sample of his urine and they lost it. I called several times and I was told they would call me back and they never did. I finally went in, in- person to ask where the sample was and after getting shuffled around from nurse to nurse, the doctor admitted that it was lost. She tried to blame covid even though covid had been "over" for about a year or two at that point. Last, one of the newer doctors at the practice dismissed my concerns about scoliosis in my son. We had X-rays of his abdominals done for constipation issues and in the X-rays you could see a curve of his spine. Dr. Crawl quickly checked him and said he was fine. I took him to Penn State orthopedics last week and they diagnosed him with a 28 degree curve of his spine. They also told me that children with autism have a high chance of having things like scoliosis, something that his pediatricians at Heritage never told me. I am so utterly disgusted with the care or lack there of from Heritage I could just cry. They have let us down over and over again. I have tried to switch but many of the good pediatricians in this area aren't currently accepting new patients. Do not make the same mistake I did and got to Heritage.
