I needed evaporator core/blend door replacement, which was around $3,700. I was fine with price. However, I give it a few more days because April advised that the system from which they order parts had been hacked!! On day three, following the hack, I called to check status, and April stated "oh, I intended to call you yesterday, because you are going to need a drier, which is an additional $1,400.00." She went on to say, "because the drier would be exposed to the sun for a period of time, it has to be replaced or it will void your warranty on the evap core/blend door." Of course, that was lie according to Herring Gear!!!! To top it off, when I went to pick up my car, April "tried" to charge me $294, after telling me the diagnostics fee was $150. I asked to speak with a manager, and then the price dropped to $187. I will never recommend them for any big job, because it seems as if they are not equipped, unless, of course, they just didn't want to do the job!!! They may need to consider hiring a more professional secretary! I don't trust April.

I used them exclusively for the first two years that I lived here (they were cheaper compared to other shops and like I said, the owner was nice), but I'd say about 80% of the time that I brought my car in to get fixed, I'd leave with another problem. There was one time that I brought my car in for a part to get fixed and they replaced it with another broken part (thus making me go through the ordeal of dropping my car off for a second day in a row). On one of the last occasions that I brought my car in, my AC stopped working soon after. The cost was too high for me to replace it at the time and I was over giving them any more business. A year later, I finally get my AC fixed at Auto Lux (for MUCH cheaper than I was quoted at Greene's) and it appears pieces of the AC belt had been removed. These aren't things that could just fall off, they have to be manually removed, so my guess is that Greene's had a hand in that. That is just me speculating but judging from my history as a customer with them, it wouldn't surprise me to find that they sabotaged my car, whether on purpose or by accident. Either way is unacceptable.

After being dropped off by the tow truck driver 30 minutes before the location opened, the staff were generous enough to allow us inside to use the restroom and stay warm. We had been waiting on the side of the road since 4:30am, it was now 6:30am. The got us in to be seen by the mechanic first thing when he showed up. When they found out we were headed to a funeral they helped us secure a rental to get us there on time as the repair was likely to take most of the day. The staff absolutely went above and beyond, they did way more than they had to. I cannot express my gratitude. Casey, Rob, James, and Todd were the employees that helped us!
