It was bound to fail (again), and I was okay with that even if I thought it was just going to waste time. These are the steps I thought I had to go through -- I even told that to the kind folks here at my initial intake visit (including the part that I only chose them because they were closest to my house!). Little did I know I was in for a serious attitude adjustment. The people at Physical Restoration took my perspective as some sort of challenge...and won handily. Yes, my physical state was a mess -- I'm fighting an ongoing problem, and I really needed help, and luckily somehow found a place at random that was willing to do what I needed to have done. I've long since fired the original doc who sent me here, but kept the physical therapist! Lori and Marc really do care about the people who walk through the door. Even the patients cheer eachother on. Don't get me wrong -- Miracle Workers do not exist. But good, hard-working, caring, and intelligent ones do. If you put in the effort here, it won't be wasted. That's all anyone can really expect. It's certainly more than I ever did and I'm now in better shape than I have been in years. I got lucky when I chose their door to walk through, but you can actually choose them on purpose.

Outstanding Care at INOVA Physical Therapy - Sterling…read more I've had the pleasure of working with the team at INOVA Physical Therapy in Sterling (46000 Center Oak Plaza, Suite 250), and I can say without hesitation that this place is exceptional. I'm currently recovering from a serious Grade 3 hamstring injury with a complete separation that required surgical reattachment on January 29th, so my rehabilitation is not exactly a casual walk in the park. Fortunately, I landed in the hands of Dr. Paul Insana, PT, DPT, CSCS, and that has made all the difference. Paul is not only extremely knowledgeable and professional, but he's also incredibly kind, patient, and easy to work with. It didn't take long to realize I was dealing with someone who truly knows his craft at an expert level. His background as a former college pitcher who himself went through Tommy John surgery gives him a unique understanding of injury, recovery, and the mental side of rebuilding strength. You can tell he's been through the grind himself, and that experience shows in how he approaches therapy. Over the next couple months, Paul will be guiding me through the slow and careful process of rebuilding my hamstring, and I feel completely confident I'm in the right hands. I'd also like to give a big shout-out to the front desk team, because first impressions matter. The patient access associates Kendal Hendrick and Vanessa Florez were fantastic. From the moment I walked in, they were professional, organized, and welcoming, making the intake process smooth and painless--which is saying something when paperwork is involved. Honestly, Kendal and Vanessa deserve medals for navigating forms, scheduling, and insurance questions with a smile. They made the whole check-in process feel effortless, and a little humor along the way didn't hurt either. All around, INOVA Physical Therapy in Sterling runs like a well-oiled machine--great clinicians, great staff, and a genuinely supportive environment for recovery. If you're looking for top-tier physical therapy with people who truly care about your progress, I highly recommend this team.

Stopped going here because of the most lousy experience with office staff ever experienced before…read moreto man. Trying to get in touch with the P.A. there (Dan) was impossible. He was good to deal with, but the red tape surrounding him was too much to try to break through. Don't go there expecting to get out on time. Office visits my friend received would be 2-3 hours just to get a simple x ray. The last time we had gone there, and had voiced our disapproval with the condescending head of the office staff, we stopped in to a coffeeshop down the street and struck up a conversation with total strangers---they had also been Peyton patients and also had complained about the horrible treatment they received from office staff.

I'd note that they are training a few new people at the moment but have not had any problems. Dr. Peyton has treated me on multiple occasions for multiple injuries and has performed five surgeries on me to date (I have complicated medical problems). I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Dr. Peyton is knowledgeable and willing to listen. If a patient is passive, Dr. Peyton will provide his assessment and move on quickly to the next issue--it is a business after all. If, however, you are a patient who requires more info, he is happy to explain as much or little as you require. While he has strong opinions (which, being a doctor, he should), he is also more than willing to listen to alternate perspectives and take those into consideration. I have have never felt I was rushed out the door. Dr Peyton has been willing to admit when he is at a loss and has always been honest about what he knows, what he doesn't, what the risks are, and where I ought to turn for additional help.

I booked two appointments, one for an initial consultation and then for follow-up/treatment. I got a call a couple of weeks later saying the first appointment was cancelled. Ok, fine, they gave me an order to complete labs. Meanwhile, I am getting calls about my husband's appointments and repeat messages stating the initial appointment is cancelled. I completed the recommended blood work. The day of the appointment, I took off work, drove 1 hour to the appointment, and was told I did not have any appointments scheduled. The appointment had been cancelled, and I was never notified AND they never received the labs. I verified with labcorp that the lab results were sent to the clinic. The office staff was very rude, did not apologize nor try to make up for the appointment cancellation. In relation to my husband's appointments, we are newly married and he has not added me to his file, so sending me messages and notes about his appointment is a HIPPA violation. You can imagine why. Anywho, I'm upset and annoyed that SFP stopped accepting insurance. My first reaction was to leave a one star review, but that would not be fair. I believe they have their reasons. Many insurance companies do not align with, or support the type of care SFP provides. I do. After reading the negative reviews, I noticed a consistent theme: people felt disrespected, inconvenienced, or emotionally frustrated. That reaction is understandable. No one likes wasted time, and appointments should be honored. Personally, I have not experienced delayed appointments. What has changed is that appointments are harder to get, and that is worth asking why. Some reviewers were upset about receiving results over the phone. I actually prefer that. Preferences differ, and that matters. Could bedside manner improve? Yes. I agree with that criticism, and I won't defend it. There is room for improvement. That said, let's consider the nature of this practice. Imagine a doctor telling patients that improvement requires an alternative protocol: supplements, timing, lifestyle changes, and long-term commitment. No magic pill. No instant results. Some patients respond with "that's too much," "that's too expensive," or "I can't do that." If a practitioner truly believes in their protocol and practices with integrity, it is reasonable to say: if you are unwilling to follow it, this may not be the right place for you. Health requires time, effort, and maintenance. Proactive care is very different from reactive care. That difference often separates one star reviews from five star reviews. So ask yourself: why do people choose this practice? Is the alternative better, or simply more familiar? Where do your values lie? Are you proactive about your health, willing to research and participate in your care, or do you expect doctors to have every answer while making you feel comfortable along the way? This is an alternative practice for people who are dissatisfied with mainstream medicine. It is not for everyone. No doctor, primary care provider, alternative practitioner, or specialist has all the answers. That is precisely why SFP blends approaches, though it clearly leans more alternative than conventional. Choose wisely. Do your research. Think critically. As for service: service is declining everywhere, not just here. Expectations are high, patience is low, and social media amplifies dissatisfaction. Criticism is valid when it is constructive, but perspective matters. This practice works for people who understand what they are signing up for. If you do, you may find real value here.

Dr was over 30 minutes late and didn't even apologize. Every time I've been in that office, ppl are pissed, asking how much longer.
