I am so thankful for this place, especially Dr. Su. I suddenly experienced severe neck pain yesterday morning. I was having spasms and I couldn't even move my neck. With any movement I was in excruciating pain. It was the type of pain you just want to scream and are so helpless. I was so lucky to be squeezed in today (on New Years Eve) by Dr. Su. My experienced with Dr. Su was like no other chiropractic experience I've had before. He intertwines his extensive education with Chinese medicine. I was able to actually move my neck when he was done with me. I trusted him and his techniques involving scraping, needling and cupping. I literally thought I was going to walk in and get the basic adjustment, but he really took it to the next level with his techniques and knowledge on pain. To top it all off, he was extremely friendly and easy to talk to. It's so hard to find any Dr. like Him. He educated me on ways to strengthen my back and posture in kind and informative ways. He didn't just say "go work out". It's been almost 10 hours since my visit and I am already able to move without sharp pains, and feel 10 times better than when I walked in. He's magic! I guess chiropractics is not for everyone. I did not have a great exp and stopped going after my third visit which had caused a terrible back ache that lingered for almost a week. They were also hard to get hold off after hours, I finally left a VM that got answered via a text message the next day. I can't recommend this place. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Martin Donnelly (at Beyond Wellness) for the past 3 months. I am dealing with overlapping health issues, impairing my mobility and leading to muscle wasting. For a sense of my condition, I could not raise my arms and had trouble holding a normal cell phone. I worked hard during my treatment sessions with Dr. Donnelly and his recommended at-home protocol. My strength and mobility slowly improved - which would not have developed without him. I have an old injury from a body boarding incident from rough waves at Ocean City, MD. Basically, the strong waves flipped my legs over my head and sandwiched me against the board, causing me to crack my mid-back and also my neck. Now I stay far away from body boarding because of the trauma it has caused. This injury led me to seek chiropractor visits for my neck. (I previously went to the chiropractor to level out my hips.) My previous chiropractor, before landing at Beyond Wellness, would crack my neck and I would see him 2-3 times a week. Along with adjustments, I received electrical stimulation and I experienced instant relief, but that wasn't enough for me in the long run, which is why I sought after a new chiropractor. You're probably wondering what else I could possibly need for neck pain relief... well, I also need work on my fascia! Dr Su at Beyond Wellness is the first person that ever took the time to educate me on fascia--the connective tissue that covers the muscles. He noted that simply having adjustments without working on smoothing out the fascia will make my injuries worse... basically, I was only getting superficial relief from my previous chiropractor and the discomfort kept coming back because my treatment did not focus on fascia and muscles. Dr Su performed gua sha (scraping) to smooth out the fascia in addition to adjustments, massages and electric stimulation. Dr Su is also educated in East Asia medicine such as cupping and acupuncture. I have also brought my mom to see him for her back pain as well. He works with my schedule! It is hard for me to come in during a weekday since i work in DC. He's come in during the weekends to accommodate. I've also gotten dry needling done by the physical therapist (DPT) Wong which is an integral treatment for me. She seems to find all my trigger points that I didn't know I had. The pain from the needles hurt like no other, but the relief endures much longer than a massage ever would! So worth it! Conclusion: I used to go to the chiropractor in Springfield which is about 5 minutes from my house... but now, I CHOOSE to make a 40 minute trek to Ashburn for real neck pain relief from a chiropractor and physical therapist! I was able to gain neck mobility from coming here. At one point, it hurt for me to turn my head to check my blind spots while changing lanes! I highly recommend! read more

After trying other chiropractors in the area, I've settled on Beyond Wellness. The operation is very professional. The office is clean and modern. The front desk is attentive, and there are several practitioners from which to choose. I saw Dr. Eugene Su. His approach is different, and it worked for me quite well. I saw Nathan Crain at first for my lower back pain, which is now totally gone! Then I mentioned to him my abdominal muscle separation I had with my second child, and he told me he could work with me on that. My OB had told me that the only thing that could fix it was surgery, which I did not want. Nathan Crain worked with me and now my abdominal muscles are getting stronger. I only need to go to him once every 4-6 weeks now. Beyond Wellness has been awesome; they have flexible hours and I am able to get an appointment almost immediately. Dr. Liz Keenan is without a doubt the best sports chiropractor I've ever been to! And after almost 5 decades of non stop involvement in contact and various intense sports, I've had a lot of experience with these treatments. At first Dr. Liz easily met all my initial criteria: multiple referrals from trusted friends, professionalism, knowledge in various treatment disciplines and a huge passion for sports and exercise herself. The more Dr. Liz treated me the more she exceeded my high expectations. She customizes each treatment specific to her clients as well as their injury at that time. I've had great success with her dry needling, ART, Graston, cupping, etc. As my issues improved so did her course of treatment to perfectly meet my needs during that appointment, I have never experienced that before and I appreciate the extra effort that must take. Dr. Liz even went above and beyond and researched a hand condition I have that a renowned hand specialist couldn't be bothered to treat (until it got a lot worse). I recently became a patient at Beyond Wellness and I am beyond impressed. I started having neck and back pain that I attribute to new motherhood. I left a message to schedule an appointment after business hours, and Dr. Su got back to me right away. He fit me in outside of usual business hours so that I wan't in pain anymore, which I appreciate immensely. I love the approach. My previous chiropractic experiences have been good, but all totally focused on adjustments, which often didn't hold for very long. Dr. Su did a combination of fascia massage and deep tissue massage in addition to adjustments, and also gave me some exercises to do at home. Dr. Broadwin Adesegun is an outstanding Physical Therapist. Visited Beyond Wellness due to chronic pain and a bad pulled muscle in my leg. Wow! Where to start.... So, I kinda view modern day health care like I view auto-mechanics. You usually don't check-in to see them unless there's something broke. Most of the time they'll check you (or the car) over for 10 minutes, give you a quick fix (and of course they sound 100% certain they know *exactly* what the problem is), and charge you for their time... and misdiagnosis. A few weeks or months later, you're back in to see another doctor (or mechanic) to take care of the same problem. The cycle continues; for me it was 15 years. Unless you walk in with a missing leg or something obvious, primary care doctors just don't seem to get it right, and the vast majority of alternative doctors tie it directly to whatever their "specialty" is in. NOT HERE!! You know the story.- we all live busy lives. Taking advantage of the rare chance to visit a doctor for a non-critical issue is often not at the top of our priority list. I lived this story for years. After reading up on the benefits of acupuncture, I decided to give it another shot. I ended up scheduling an appointment with Dr. Schuster, and walked in with my thick stack of medical records. I figured it was now-or-never, because I was finished in my search to get fixed. I am SO glad that I did... and ironically, I never did pursue the acupuncture route. On a very routine basis, I visited Dr. Schuster, Dr. Dee, and LMT Ashlee Voehringer: Dr. Schuster was my "go-to" for intestinal blood-and-guts stuff. Which is odd, because I wouldn't have known in a million years that it was directly linked to the symptoms I was trying to fix; and in fact, past MD's had completely denied the link whenever I brought it up. He took the time to analyze all my past medical history including lab results, and was able to determine the underlying connections, while also recommending supplements to help fix the problem. (Making the connection was in itself a very big feat!) Dr. Dee was simply amazing. Due to scheduling conflicts, I began seeing her for my regular chiropractic adjustments (which weren't very "regular" btw- she uses a completely different adjustment technique... one that actually works!). She is extremely brilliant, intuitive, and understanding; a rare combination in the medical profession. She's also very keen on the slightest of details, which means the world of difference while getting adjusted and pin-pointing problem areas. Although I'm sure I made her late in all her next appointments, she patiently took the time to adequately explain all the details I was looking for. I doubt I'll ever come across a better doctor. Ever. LMT Ashlee was an excellent massage therapist. I was never into the whole "massage" thing, but after hearing recommendations from a few other patients, I decided to give it a try. The massage therapy not only extended the benefits gained from the adjustments (true story- i tested this out on several occasions), but also helped to relieve all the built up muscle tension working against my recovery. Ashlee was very diverse in her massage technique's and collaborated with the doctors to focus on the exact problem areas. She was very professional, but also personable enough to allow me to feel comfortable around her. I kinda feel bad now, because I talked her ears off every time I saw her,... and I guess that's not exactly normal while getting a massage. :/ I'm no longer in the DC area, but sincerely miss this team of health experts. Being an individual that has seen several conventional and alternative medical experts over the years, I would ~HIGHLY~ recommend this group. (As a caveat, do not expect a "quick-fix" or a magic pill. I showed up to several months of persistent appointments to get things squared away. It was merely the initial dedication on behalf of Dr. Schuster that made me realize this group was willing to put in the time and effort to come up with real solutions- unlike most places.) I had been suffering from tennis elbow for half a year. I did PT for 2 months, but that didn't help. I wasn't too sure about going to see a Chircopractor/Acupuncture but I figured it couldn't hurt. After my first visit, I knew I have made the right decision. Dr. Su not only treated my tennis elbow but pain in other areas that I simply ignored due to a busy life. I absolutely loved Dr.Nate!! I defined recommend him as a chiropractor. He was super helpful and knowledgeable. I would give him five stars. However, the billing department at Beyond Wellness was extremely disappointing. I had a question about an additional charge on my credit card. The women I spoke with over the phone looked me up quickly and responded with different amount then what I was charged. I asked her where she was getting her numbers from. She said she would send me the statement and I told that would be great! However, I still wanted to just get this settled over the phone. She started to argue with me, tell me she couldn't help, and that I needed to talk to the insurance company. I told the women I didn't appreciate being yelled at. She raised her voice even more and said "Im not arguing with you". She was raising her voice continuously throughout the conversation and I could hear her frustration while I was asking questions about the charge. I was happy to pay whatever was out of balance but I wanted a clear understanding of why. Especially, after her numbers weren't matching up with my charges. As a person who owned their own business I have a good understanding of customer service and there was no need for her to speak to me the way she did. Yesterday was my first time at Beyond Wellness. I saw Dr. Bradshaw, and let me just say, she is amazing. I suffer from Fibromyalgia and the widespread pain has been plaguing me for years. I am still looking for the right balance/combo of traditional medicine with alternate therapy. With that said, I am not looking for a cure-all miracle, just simply some help to relieve the pain so that I can function everyday. Dr. Bradshaw was very attentive. She listened and jotted down notes on everything I said. You could tell she was paying attention because she was asking intelligent questions and making factual statements based on my condition. She knew I have tried many different types of therapy and knows that I was not expecting a miracle. She examined me to told me what she was going to do to relieve SOME pain for me, then she went to work. She spent at least an hour with me, which is unheard of these days with doctors. I would know as I have seen many due to my illness. She made sure to give me some exercises to do at home to help with the pain on certain areas. I never felt rushed. For the first time in a long time (since I can remember), I woke up with less pain and not hating getting out of bed. If you ever suffer from chronic pain, then you know what I mean. I am hopeful that my pain level will decrease as I continue to see her. What more can I say? read more

I have seen many chiropractors and I honestly feel that Dr Su has been the best. In a matter of moments after feeling my neck/back, he was able to pin-point the troublesome area. What sets him apart from others is that he not only makes the necessary adjustments where need be, but he also combines it with massage therapy along with other healing methods. He really puts the time into each session making sure you get the most out of it. I feel like other chiropractors just go through a routine and "cracks" you in the same areas. And they make you go see them typically 3 times a week until your insurance runs out, whereas, Dr Su will only treat you as much and as often as you need. Excellent place to go for proper healing! Dr. Liz is the reason I've been able to go to class 3 to 5 times a week and actually progress in my new fitness goals. I've battled everything from neck and shoulder, to knee and back pain, and she's always had an answer. From chiropractic, to cupping and dry needle treatments, she does a great job of matching the best treatment for each issue. I really like the fact that she is always sure to address the cause of the issue, in addition to helping with the symptoms. I've been seeing Dr. Kris Schuster for about a year now. I went in barely walking due to unexplained back pain - within a few weeks he had me back to my life. I have been going to Beyond Wellness since November for my shoulder and piriformis syndrome pain. I went in to see if dry needling would be the answer because I was getting desperate. So glad I did! Dr Su determined that while dry needling wasn't what I needed at this time, I began working mostly with Dare but also Dr Su on physical therapy. Dr Su has treated me for a variety of sports and age-related problems and has always provided relief, usually immediate, but always long term.
