I always felt like this was a good place for my dog until the last time I sent her for boarding. There were issues. She would always get groomed here. All she gets is a nail clipping and bath and I think they over charge for that. I can't imagine what it costs for a full grooming with a haircut. I think boarding and day were a reasonable price. I would go because it's close. She's been there before for boarding and day care a couple times. Last time she went for boarding I don't think they ever walked her or cleaned where she stayed. I looked through the window to the back room and she was fenced in her own area which was fine but then I noticed she had barely water and there was pee everywhere she had nowhere clean to lay down. There was a lady not the young girl sitting at the desk and not watching the dogs. read more

Absolutely the worst. They lie about their incompetence! They claimed thatthere was too long a delay in my payments to them. They dont send timely invoices and I'vve literally had to ask multiplr times for an invvoice in order to pay them. They claim i paid them late on more than one occasion. Aside from that, the groomer Ana Barbara (Freitas) English speaking ability isnt the greatest and she was inconsistent in her grooming ability despite specific requests we made. Our little puppy never looked the same after each vvisit!!! My advice - STAY AWAY!! read more

Brought our Leo in again today for another spa treatment. One hour later, he came out looking gorgeous, smelling great, clean as a whistle, nails, teeth, ears, anal glands, all done !!! A bit pricey for this today $85.00 but just like everything else, you get what you pay for. Money well spent. Saved me from breaking my back doing it ( if he would even let me). Nice people, they really care for your fur baby, Hightly recommend Rapawzel for your grooming needs. Thanks so much. See you again soon. Sincerely, Leo and family, LInda C. read more

I am bringing my cat here for a couple of years had no problem. There is a gentleman there that I've seen now for the second time that would not take my cat to be groomed because he said that she was aggressive. I rescued her with already no clause on her so she can't hurt anybody and I gave her medicine before she was there so that she would be sedated. He touched her and she meowed and right away he said he wouldn't groom her. I come from Long Island to Queens for them for them to tell me to go home. They won't groom her now for the second time I am extremely disappointed and there was a man there that didn't speak English so they said who is the Groomer and he didn't even touch her or anything and just said he won't groom her I think that there lack of professionalism is a problem and was very disappointing to drive all the way to be told to go home. Yes, I was up very upset as I should be. I don't recommend this place at all. Yes I took all their cards on their desk and I told them that I was going to write a bad review so nothing is a surprise. read more

This place is Amazing ! I come here regularly to get my cat Lily's nails trimmed. Everyone is so friendly there. Today my cat was in a bad mood and wasn't happy about getting a nail trim and they couldn't have been nicer. They handled her so calmly and got the job done. I will continue to always come here read more

Called for a first time grooming appointment and got one within 2 days. I was so excited since it is so close to our new home... When I arrived, the front desk gal, Sandy was sweet and took my dog's info; i emailed proof of vaccines, etc. The place is very small and there was one female groomer in the back busy with one dog as another dog was next to her waiting to be groomed. There were 2 other dogs in the small front area that were "boarded." We picked up our pup who seemed fine upon initial inspection but when we brought her home, she was quiet and kept hiding from us. I checked her more thoroughly and discovered a cut behind her ear. It was open and bloody. Either the groomer didn't notice or they did notice and did not tell us. We were very sad about this and we let them know. They apologized for the "nick". Needless to say we will not be returning. read more

I just picked up my senior dog (Sissy) (16 yo) from her Salon Day at Rapawzel on the Upper East Side. She looks absolutely DARLING and I know she was given lots of TLC while she was with the groomers. Being a bit older it is necessary that extra care be shown during the grooming to ensure that none of the little warts/growths are nicked etc. For that xtra attention I am so grateful. The grooming has always been consistently good. M. Sullivan NYC read more

Don't bring your cat here! First off, I hate leaving bad reviews , but my experience was very disappointing and surprising. This was my first time here and I wanted to get my cat professionally cleaned and trimmed- something my vet can easily do, but I didn't want to wait. They advertise that they can groom cats- and let's be real, most cats get aggressive when it comes to bath time (the point of having a professional cat groomer), but if you can't handle a cat properly, why say you can? Or at least say something before I waste my gas.. The big loud dog constantly barking certainly didn't help create a calm environment for an already scared animal, just ask the other tiny dog shivering alone in the waiting room. If you're going to advertise cat grooming , consider learning how to touch a cat properly (ive seen my vet do it and its not hard), invest in a cat muzzle and bite proof gloves- all of the viral groomers on the internet use them....things I assumed a professional groomer would already have. I have 3 cats and worked at a shelter. Cats love to be brushed (he was only able to brush her a little - and handed the carrier with her in it to me with the door open because he was too scared to close it properly) , so the fact that the bath hadn't even started yet and she's getting angry just tells me you aren't that great with cats and making them feel comfortable! Thanks for traumatizing my cat for an hour and a half! All complaints aside, the front desk person was very friendly and apologetic- not her fault! Rapawzel did an excellent job with my 9 year old cat Lady. I dropped her off at 10:30 am and she was all finished by 1:00 pm. The cat grooming package includes a full bath and nail trim. The staff was friendly and welcoming; and most importantly, they took great care of my pet and I felt safe leaving her in their hands. read more

I am in awe and in disbelief with all these bad reviews. I had such an amazing experience!!!! I took my one year old cavapoo for the first time to groom at the Bayside location and I am super super satisfied with everything! Super nice and and friendly! They greeted me and Ginger with so much love. She was so informative and helpful with providing me tips on maintaining his fur better. His hair was super uneven from horrible prior groomers and very matted in some areas but they still managed to give him the exact cut I wanted. Gained a loyal customer on this side!!!! I will most definitely continue coming here. Prices are super reasonable! read more

I would never bring my dog here again. My dog was howling and howling from anxiety and fear which I heard from almost a block away as I was picking him up which made me run inside the store thinking something happened. The 2 workers Andrea and Gabriella did not even care to see what was wrong with my dog and they were just both sitting in the front on their cell phones as usual paying NO mind to my dog. I had to run inside from half a block away and directly open the gate to grab my dog. They were paying him NO mind at all. He could have been caught in the cage, he could have been hurt, he could have been stuck in his harness. ANYTHING could have been the reason and they paid him NO mind. My dogs eyes were all pink which only happens if he's been under a lot of stress (mind you I only had him there for 4 hours), his eyes were full of tears and he looked soooooooooo out of it. Not to mention there was dog poop all over the floor which my dog could have easily ate without anyone's knowledge and got sick since no one had their eyes on him. And no one cleaned the poop which was a bunch of poop on the floor. The fact that I pay this company money to watch my dog, it is a shame that my dollars all went to waste when they just left my dog to sit there to be more anxious and pay him no mind. People bring their dogs to the daycare due to various reasons like anxiety, separation anxiety and the fact that NO one paid him no mind while he was crying to me is just unacceptable. Last time I left my dog there for about an hour with Andrea and when I picked him up, he had poop all over his paws and he smelled sooooooo bad. After 1 hour. Andrea said it was a hectic day which is not my problem. I will never bring my dog here again. I'm sure that's the reason why the daycare is usually so empty because people are not pleased with the care their dogs receive. There is NO reason why my dogs cries were completely ignored ESPECIALLY when he could have been crying for help. read more

Left my puppy with an un even haircut. They are very nice and welcoming but I was not happy with the haircut

Small place but people were so nice . Sent video of my lab playing and took good care of her while she stayed there.

My dog came back itchy and unhappy. They over cut his nails to the quick, nicked his butt (not adding a photo of that), his trim is uneven (some places look nicked), and in general they just didn't listen to what I wrote down for his cut. It doesn't even look remotely like a poodle puppy cut or sporting trim. Not going back. read more

do not bring your dogs here. they will leave your dogs unattended and leave the front door wide open so that anyone can come and steal your dogs. secondly, they neglect the dogs and do not watch them as they should. the receptionists are on their phones while the dogs are crying and howling out of anxiety and fear. dogs will be completely ignored. there are many reviews that show dogs have died under their care...dogs have came out of grooming with injuries and just an overall bad choice to bring your dogs there. theres dog shit everywhere that is not cleaned up, the dogs are not looked after, and the owner is not sympathetic to dog owners concerns. most of the time, your dog will be alone for hours without anyone checking on them all day long. no wonder no one brings their dogs there. beware beware beware. i will make sure to make it known that this is not the place you want to bring your dogs. at....allll read more

This review is for their mobile/in-home grooming in the Bayside area. I had a great experience with our groomer, Jonathan. He was friendly and handled my 16 year old teacup Yorkie well; despite my dog's anxiety, arthritis and attitude (he's not the nicest when it comes to grooming) My dog had severe matting around the neck and Jonathan managed to get it out successfully without making my dog feel too uncomfortable. I appreciate the convenience of them providing their service in your own home. It made me feel at ease to be able to be in the same room as my dog, in case he needed comforting or words of assurance. Thank you again for handling my dog with so much patience. 10/10 would highly recommend. Will definitely book my next appointment with them! read more

So glad I found this place for my pet. It's a new location Very convenient close to my house.

One star because I need to post this review. Bayside location filthy, dirty, stinks of urine. Overbooked and took over 4 hours to groom two 6 lbs yorkies. Did not finish the job, dogs looked lopsided and unfinished. Don't even know if they know what they are doing. I got scratches from one dog who could not get away from them soon enough. Both dogs passed out in the car- apparently no ac in the back. One dog had a deep cut on her butt. Day care in the front- people please do not leave your dogs with them. One urine saturated pillow on the floor and two dogs going at each other. The poor little white dog hiding from an insane big dog. Nobody did anything! The owner is in Astoria and gives you lip service about who owns what and who to speak to . All BS! I demanded a refund but she told me that the Bayside shop is now CLEAN! Right. I would never subject my dogs to them again. So I lost a lot of money but I am begging you NOT to patronize this vendor and take your dogs elsewhere. Please! read more
