Rankin responded promptly and fixed my GFCI problem in 15 minutes at a reasonable price. A previous electrician had tried to fix my problem, but mis-wired the new GFCI outlet. Not all electricians are created equal. I highly recommend Rankin. read more

When I first hired this company, I was extremely pleased - and I mean extremely. On time, great work, and reasonably priced. Time went by and another need arose, so I called them again. But this time the outcome was far less than satisfactory. Why? Why would a great company go down hill (so to speak) like that? Just kept scratching my head. Well, it dawned on me that perhaps the owner is hiring apprentice electricians to help them out, which if that is the case, is great. BUT, these employees must be supervised by an experienced, competent, knowledgeable and "seasoned" electrician. What actually happened was I hired them to install quite a few ceiling fans. After the job was done the ceiling fans were making such a hideous sound, we couldn't use any of the fans! So, I phoned a very close friend whom I trusted like I used to trust Rankin, and he had to troubleshoot each fan and basically re-install each one. I sincerely hope this once wonderful company is back on top of their game like they were the first time I hired them. They were really outstanding. read more

My experience with Rankin Electric has always been a positive one. When I had them come to help me install my televisions and lighting in complicated locations in my new home years ago, they did so with extreme precision and skill. Earlier this year, they put in newer, modern and attractive lighting in the front of my home and bedrooms. They ran lines to keep everything looking good and free of clutter. Today Brian suggested and installed LED lighting in my garage as a safety measure. He also helped me and my family put in and understand how to use the new security cameras and electronics we purchased to update and keep our home secure and protected. Brian was so kind and patient with us. He even showed me and a child family member what to do in emergency situations . He walked us over to the breakers and identified and labeled them without any hesitation. Not only does Brian do a job well, he and his company take steps to make everything look neat and beautiful. Their prices are very reasonable and I have never been disappointed. Rankin Electric is one of the best companies I have ever worked with. They are a valuable asset to our community! read more

Once again Rankin came through. We lost power to several switches and outlets in one room. After trying several things I called Rankin. They weren't going to be able to get to us for several days. When I explained we were leaving to go out of town they said they would work us in somehow seeing how we are a prior customer. They got to it the following day and the professional service man quickly diagnosed a burnt wire in an outlet. Something we could not have diagnosed ourselves. He made quick repairs and was on his way. Very reasonable price too. Thank you Randy Rankin read more

My elderly parents had an issue with some of their electrical outlets. They were running extension cords to keep a freezer, refrigerator, and a bathroom light on. I called Rankin Electric. I spoke to Randy, the owner. Randy gave me some tips to pass on to my dad. I spoke to my dad, gave him the information from Randy. I called back after a bit, and spoke to Sandy who Randy made aware of the situation. Sandy put my parents on their cancelation list. Sandy at Rankin told me it might be 4 or 5 days. I gave them my parents phone number and my dad's name. Rankin Electric showed up at my parents home by 12:30 today, the same day I called. Kyle the electrician was fantastic. He found every issue and was able to correct them promptly. My dad was very impressed and pleased. He's not easily impressed. Great job Rankin! I would recommend you to everyone who needs an electrician. read more

Mark Haynes came to my mothers rescue when her oven stopped working. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He stayed about an hour and half to double check everything. He changed out a circuit breaker and checked the others to make sure they were all working properly. He kept saying that for the age of the oven, it was in terrific shape. He was so sweet that he even gave my mom a Dewars gift card which was unexpected but very much appreciated. Overall, this company takes good care of their customers. We will definitely use them in the future. read more

We've used Rankin electric twice in the past few years and received excellent service both times. The service technicians we've had out completed the job with attention to detail and displayed clear pride in their work. And they always do a good job cleaning up after themselves. Most recently, the company and technician were patient with me as I had a number of small jobs around the house and I wasn't sure what would fit in my budget. The service technician, Julian, took his time when he came to quote the job and asked a lot of questions to make sure he understood what I wanted and why. I highly recommend Rankin Electric to anyone looking to have electrical work done. read more

Dan and Cory came out and ran some 50 amp lines for Electric Vehicle Charging. I had them Do a few extra things as well and they were more than happy to accommodate the extra little request. We recently purchased an older home that needed some electrical work. Rankin emailed us a detailed quote; we accepted and they scheduled the work. They were very busy so they weren't able to come out for about 30 days for some of the work and the other job could not be scheduled for another month or so (not Rankins fault PG&E delay). Brian and a helper came the first day and installed ceilings fans, did some GFI work, repaired some fans in the bathroom. The other job was replacing our breaker box. Brian came out and did that work as well. They did a great job. I really appreciated the great communication Brian gave us; a detailed explanation on what he was doing and the estimated timeline. They wore masks whenever they were working inside the house and did a thorough job of cleaning up when the day was over. read more

By far the best and most reasonable electrician I have ever hired. When I called to make an appointment with a list; Fan replacement, fixing various outlets and switches, replacing 2 light fixtures, etc. I was told there was a flat fee per hour which I found to be reasonable. He showed up on time wearing a mask. He got to work immediately. He asked if there was anything else. No up-charges, ho hidden fees. The job took 3.25 hours and that is what he charged. I will only use this company for electrical work. Great Job! read more

I called for an appointment today (Thursday at just before 1 pm). They didn't have an appointment until Monday. The nice lady who answered the phone said she would add me to a list so that someone could come sooner if time allowed. They called at 1348 hours and advised they could come fix our issue. Joby (I think was his name) showed up and was super nice. He explained all the possibilities that could be causing our issue. He told me everything he was doing, as he went through the process-which I appreciated. He had the power back on and the issue resolved in less than an hour. Super nice. Super courteous and very professional. Oh! And it didn't cost an arm and a leg. VERY reasonably priced. Thank you for the same-day service. We will recommend and use again (if need-be). read more

Called Rankin a few days ago asking some questions about an electrical issue I was experiencing. I was transferred to a very knowledgeable person and he seemed to be willing to stay on the phone with me and answer ALL my questions. At this point I was a looky loo and I was waiting to be rushed off the phone for potentially wasting their time. However I was not, they stayed on the phone, and I felt the person on the other end of the line was really trying to HELP me. Turns out the person I was talking to was the owner! Man this is the best service I have ever had from anywhere and it's my first time using this company. The electrician came out while I was at work so he spoke to me over the phone because my wife is not the kind of person that deals with these things. I have never felt more comfortable doing something over the phone like this before. Not only that but my wife called immediately after he left and said our garage door didn't work. I was under the impression that it was due to the work being done. My wife didn't tell me it fell off the tracks. The best electrician came back and fixed the door for my wife. That's some major customer service. He could have just said not my problem and left. Thank you for the amazing customer service. You just earned a customer for life. read more
