One of the guest asked for beer and waited 15 minutes. When the issue was raised to the owner, who burst into shouting. He was coming back and forth to our table and yelling. At one point he come by our table holding a tiny baby in diapers! and still yelling. His excuse of anger was that the service people are young and learning. He asked us to leave the to restaurant instead of apologizing. Such an ugly evening ! He ruin my birthday.

It was really un-photogenic and tasted like it looked. I liked that the chicken was lean and there weren't any fatty nor gristlely bits. The flavour itself was ok, not too salty nor too sweet. It didn't taste like ketchup or anything like that thankfully. It was just kind of unremarkable IMO. I would say it was along the lines of Thai Express, but more expensive :(

They also sprinkled on a lot of crushed peanuts and some fried scallions, so yummy, I love fried scallions. I arrived at about 2:45pm on a weekday. The guy who served me was really nice. I think he ended his shift at 3pm though, because shortly after dropping off my food, he put on his coat and headed out the door. I didn't even realize this until as he was leaving he yelled out to me "thanks, have a great day!" He surprised me, and my mouth was full but I managed to squeeze out a "thanks!" I wish he had told me he was leaving because I would have gladly settled the bill so he would get his tip. I'm hoping he got his tip regardless. After he left, I was kind of left to my own devices as despite having people who appeared to work there enter and exit, no one seemed to take on the role of server. I didn't mind this too much because once I get my food, as long as it's my correct order, I am a very low maintenance customer. Towards the end of my meal, a man who turned out to be either the owner or the owner's son appeared behind the counter, so I asked him for some more water. We chatted a bit and he told me that the restaurant has been around for 3 years. When it first opened it was "a partnership" but for the last year or so it's been "just him and his family." So it's definitely a family run business. I told him I really enjoyed my meal, and he thanked me for supporting their business. I would definitely come back. I'd like to try out their other dishes. Parking is a bit of a pain in this area, as it's street parking only, and there are a lot of restrictions, but if you don't mind walking a bit, you can find parking a little further out.

Their ginger beef was literally 10/10 and their chicken and rice dishes were as good as any I've had in Ottawa. My wife liked the pad Thai and with the portion sizes she had lunch for the next day. The service was top notch as well and the prices were more than fair. I wish I could give these guys 4.5 our of 5. Really good. We will be back for sure.
