Their selection isn't too bad considering how small the place is. If you live near the store, it wouldn't be a bad place to frequent. If you're thinking of driving for a while to browse, it's not a bad place to go because there are soem decent restaurants nearby and you can make a roadtrip out of your journey. In comparison with Huron Valley Guns, this place is overshadowed by the sheer size and selection, plus, Oakland Tactical lacks a gun range which the facility could use. Since this is a Mom and Pop shop as they say, I'd encourage you to buy local if you're from teh area. I won't be driving so far to support them because I have choices near me but I'm glad I made the trip. Every gun range and store is worth a visit and a purchase to support the small businesses around us which give us choices when we need them. Kudos to the owners for setting up such a nice facility without a major corporate level budget like HVG. I like the personal touch of a small place. Side note: The guys who were working were both very friendly. One of them seemed to have been jazzed up on a bunch of caffein. He was wired and somewhat jittery but if you want to talk with someone with high energy, this would be the place to check out.

It was my first time bringing my rifle the lady at the counter and asked me what type of caliber I was shooting and what kind of ammo I said 5.56 green tip she notified me that the green tips were not allowed on the range so I purchased non-green tip 556 round from them and I proceeded to go to the pistol range after I was done at the pistol range I went to the counter and the lady requested I give her my green tip rounds as I was pulling my ammo out of the bag to give to her the manager, Gary Allen was very rude and was harassing me as I was giving it to her so I requested my money back on the ammo. This place is not friendly at all. I do not recommend spending your money here. I would take it to somewhere else like Center Mass in Livonia where they're friendly and they treat you like family. I don't know what's wrong with that guy that day, but that was very disrespectful and I will be taking my money elsewhere again stay away from this place. They are very unprofessional. A few days after ordering, we noticed she made a typo with her number on the order. When we called to correct this, we were told it was taken care of and that the number would be updated. After a couple more days of no updates, my girlfriend decided to go in store to speak with someone. The number was never updated until she physically went into the store. She was also told that the process hasn't ended and the firearm was on its way. After another week of silence, I decided to call to try and get updates. I was told by an employee that the order still said pending on their end and that I should get in contact with the inventory manager. After several unsuccessful attempts to get ahold of the manager, I was told I couldn't talk to the manager due to an emergency and that they were giving me a refund. I have no receipt or anything that I could track the refund with, just a store employee's word. I have yet to be contacted regarding this inconvenience.
