First time gun buyer with a lot of questions. Called the store and talked with Garry who was enthusiastic and understanding to what a first timer might need to know when walking in. After entering I did end up running into him and he was super helpful and patient. He walked me through I'd say about 30 handguns and let me try each of them and explained different safety features and specs. After explaining what I was looking for and why we narrowed it down and he help me through the licensing and entire cash out process. It was about an hour and a half of his time but I left feeling very safe, confident and educated about my purchase. Definitely home base for all future purchases, CPL class and range use. This isn't the first time I've been here but today I was able to explore most all of this place. And let me tell you. . .this place rocks!! I purchased my most recent firearm here as they had the best price and they had what I was looking for available to rent. Today I met a longtime friend here to use the range and we had a ball! We looked all around and got in some range time. I knew they had like what I thought was a small deli, but I had no idea that in the back was a full blown restaurant!! They have breakfast, sandwiches, burgers, steaks, and a kids menu. So when we were finished shooting, we went and had lunch! And it's really a good restaurant as well, not only is it a rustic feeling space, with a view of the range, and a waist high shuffleboard, billiards, and a cigar humidor, but the food was awesome! I had the Reubensky, and my friend had the Cabo Club, which he said was wonderful. The range is incredible, it's all computerized with everything programmed for all kinds of games and exercises for everything from sighting to drawing. Lighting in the lanes for different effects all programmed in for you to choose. We need lots of hours to check it all out. I hope they get plenty of business because I do NOT want this place to go away or shrink. This is the premier gun store in the area if you ask me. Everything from prices to grooming to food. . .LoL! This was my first experience at a gun store and I am hoping the next is better. I would think a business would be more welcoming to everyone but the trump sign at the entrance and the long message about masks on the door bristled me. Upon entering I was greeted by the Devos based petition drive to remove power from our governor and it was ridiculous. Americans buy guns not just Trump supporters and the whole vibe was disheartening. Lack of inventory and ammo made the trip a waste. Tried to look at the range but a private party was occupying the viewing area. Won't be back but I'm sure that does not concern this business. read more

Huge store with lots to look at. I haven't purchased any firearms through Huron Valley but my brothers and I have participated in their shooting leagues. Great fun that I recommend to everyone. Clean, top notch facility with state-of-art shooting lanes and ventilation. I haven't had the chance to meet the owner but he seems like a great guy and is irrefutably a valuable asset to the community. We've participated in several of his family events over the last year and appreciate what he does. I'm not adding much to any of the already numerous 5 star reviews...but this place is the cat's pajamas! Complete with a barber shoppe and a restaurant in addition to a 25, 50 and 100 yard range, it doesn't get much better than HVG! Their inventory was pillaged with the March COVID gun run but they're vigilantly building it back up. And hey, if you can't find that pistol you're looking for they still have the Barrett 50 for sale ; ) We came to shoot and put a few downrange to blow off some steam. When you arrive be prepared to wait a bit to get checked in. You'll need to sign their waiver so it's best to do this online before you come. I'm not sure if once you sign the waiver it keeps it on file or not but with a group of 4 it took about 20 minutes before we were on range to shoot. It was a weekend however...just something to keep in mind if you're planning a group shoot. Beyond that, HVG has CPL classes, firearms training, and organizes different events like the Girls and Guns event (I don't think that's what they call it but you get the idea). They also have one of the best EDC knife selections I've seen with a nice inventory of autos if that's your thing. They carry suppressors and you can rent them if you want to try the experience out before you buy. Plenty of optics to choose from and overall just a really nice gun shoppe. If you haven't been before it's definitely worth a looksee. read more

I got my hair cut today at Liberty Belles. First impression was excellent. I was able to make an ONLINE appointment, using my phone, extremely quickly. I picked the first available stylist I saw (Brooke Steinman) and an appointment time only a half hour out. Brooke greeted me after she finished up with her previous customer. I gave her only a vague notion of what kind of haircut I was looking for, but she pulled it off tremendously. She also washed my hair and put in product. It looks great! Have been a big fan of this place for a long time, purchased several products here. Then, my recent visit this past week was very disappointing. I was looking for a few AR parts and a particular set of Trijicon pistol sights. When I showed the salesperson which particular set of iron sights, he said they didn't have it in stock and that since I had the part number I could "just order it off of the internet". When I said that I prefer to support my local business owner, he got a call on his cell (obviously personal), walked away and never came back! Great place! Nice ranges. Good selection of gear. Friendly staff. The food is also very good. My only complaint would be the lack of counters behind the firing lines for your gear. This is the only indoor range I've been to where there is no good place for your gear and reloading. In the event that you should violate a range rule or safety protocols, they NICELY let you know and ask you to correct. The range staff is helpful and considerate. I went with my son who purchased a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield .45: great price! The place is fabulous- plenty of stock for any gun enthusiast. Did not use range- but will be back to check it out. Glad it is near me locally. Guess we will see- I have been going to Peacemakers in Howell; which I love. Maybe I'll change where I practice. This facility is one of the most well-stocked, friendly service, merchandise, range / stores in all of Michigan. If you're thinking of a road trip to go check things out, I encourage you to do so. They have food services too and their food goes beyond what you'd expect at a gun range. Staff are very friendly and many are avid enthusiasts who love talking with customers and answering questions. My best advice if you're going to do a lot of homework on a particular make or model is to go on a week night when foot traffic in the store is low. We stopped in on a Wednesday night around 6 or 7PM and had pretty much the whole store to ourselves. We ended up spending about an hour at the 1911 counter and talking with a young man who was a major enthusiast. He really knew his stuff. Fun place to see. Oh yeah, if you need a hair cut or alterations, they have a barber and seamstress on site as well. Enjoy! read more

Competitive prices on firearms. Cost of range time seems a little high. That and the fact that they are closed on Sunday are the reasons I didn't give them 5 stars. The employees have all been extremely friendly and helpful. On a recent visit my 9mm jammed for the first time ever. The range officer quickly and gladly cleared it right away. Open up on Sundays and I'll modify this rating to 5 stars. Called ahead of time to ask if they have any restrictions as to what can be shot, was told no. Drove all the way out with 500 rounds of Fenix ammo and my new gun, to find out Fenix cannot be shot. Should've been told that on the phone, very unprofessional and disappointed. Was given 30 min of free range time for my troubles which literally would cost me ever more money to then drive out to purchase more ammo, drive back, and shoot there because ammo is more expensive than range time. This was my 1st visit and I will not be returning nor recommending this place to anyone. read more

The restaurant is great, the range is the best equipped & in great condition, the gun store has the best selection anywhere in Michigan, & the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and never acts like asking questions is beneath them. I recently moved back from CA & have purchased or transferred several guns with them even though its over 30 miles from my house in Troy, I would never go anywhere else. They have a massive selection of guns and ammo to choose from and while I admit that their range is a little bit expensive it is worth it in the end due to the fact that I got the chance to fire weapons I wouldn't have had the chance anywhere else. They also have a gun Smith on station in case of range miss haps or jams. Their employees are also very knowledgeable and will do everything they can to make sure to pick the right one for you and even give helpful recommendations for attachments. As well as modern guns they have old ones as well such as the M1 Gand, SKS, as well as many more such as a semi auto browning .30 cal, a reproduction Gatling gun and even a reproduction cannon. Even going as far as selling some ATF items such as short barrel shotguns and even suppressors, however if your ooo for a bit of punch they've got you covered with a .338. Lappula and two Barrett .50 cal BMG Rifles and even the ultra modern automatic targeting sight. If guns aren't your thing they have an enormous selection of furniture and apparel for the wife or girlfriend to browse while the man makes his next gun buy or Vice versa. In the end the only thing keeping me from a five star rating is expensive range and ammo prices but I would still highly recommend shopping here for all your shooting needs, I hope this is helpful. read more

All in all not a bad place the thing that kind of makes me have pause? Is one or two of the associates just seems to be very overworked and very short with people. Not that that's a bad thing but aside from their knowledge and everybody else being super nice and even though they are low on different shipments LOL they still have a sunny disposition with the exception of one or two people who need to chill out. My husband and I went in there today to buy a revolver. Our anniversary gift to each other. First of all no one greeted us, secondly we looked for 15 minutes before someone even offered to help (even though we were the only ones there), third, all he did was hand us guns. Had no feedback or thoughts (wasn't from lack of experience IMO, just hates his job and people apparently) was incredibly rude and acted like we were interrupting him from doing nothing! A reflection of the entire business. I will never step foot in this place again! Another gun shop had an easy sell today just by being friendly!
