Great gun shop and range. The staff here are friendly and knowledgeable. At other gun stores I've been treated like I was an idiot because I am a woman, not here. I recently did an out of state transfer with them and the transaction was quick and smooth. While guns in general are slim pickings right now I was surprised that they do have a decent stock here. I've shot at the range here a fee times and I like it, weekdays it's not crowded at all which I like. One of their lane managers is also very nice and gave me some great tips about form and what my body was doing, which was helpful since I cannot see myself. Great store! read more

Hateful place! I am a firearms instructor and I was bringing them customers and sometimes shoot with some family and friends, instead of exchanging the collegial respect deserved they almost never fail to give insulting comments in front of my friends and family members that I brought. I don't understand their discriminatory behavior and it is not acceptable. Today my friend wanted to buy a pistol so after work I stopped by to help him pick one out at the store. Bob was very helpful and showed us their inventory. Then we went to the range to try the ones he liked before buying them. After we picked what we were shooting and the ammo, they never failed to be offensive again so we had to leave to never return or recommend anyone for this unexplained demeaning discriminatory behavior even though I already sent them numerous customers! read more

The range and staff here are exceptional. We've been a few times and it's always a good experience, but recently rented 7 lanes for a birthday party and it was amazing. We had 11 people, and 4 in that group had never shot a gun before. Mike stayed with us the entire time, giving instruction to those who were new to handling guns, helping with issues others had, and in general making everyone feel comfortable and well taken care of. Several of the newbies were extremely nervous and not sure they even wanted to fire a gun and ended up firing multiple different kinds of guns and really enjoying themselves. Great place! read more

The staff is great! I've done 3 transfers to them and also bought a couple things. I've been there quite a bit looking at different weapons, asking questions, and shooting at their range as well. The staff is very knowledgeable, and professional. I never felt like any of them were trying to push me into a buying something but rather give possible suggestions based on my idea of what I was looking for. I feel like everyone there is pretty up beat and enjoy what they do. There range is very similar to any indoor range I've been to, not a bad set up by any means. Don't give them your business. I went to their range today and man behind the counter asked if i had shot there before. When I told him it was the first time, he gave me an ipad. I thought it was going to be your standard liability waiver. Sign and print name at the bottom, right? Wrong! They wanted my name, phone number, address, email, drivers licence number, cpl number, aaaaaaand that's when I asked where the waiver form was. I thought I must had clicked on the wrong form or something. Nope. He said I have to fill it out completely and give up my right to privacy in order to shoot at their overpriced range. It's very upsetting that this can happen in America, and at a gun range of all places. It's a shame for them too. I was looking into their classes and have a lot of friends that I would have been shooting with there. Now I will be sure to have them all avoid this place like the plague, and go to one if the 20 other ranges in the area that don't require you to trade your 4th amendment rights to excercise your 2nd. Rented out 7 lanes for a birthday party of about 13 people yesterday. Robert at Accurate handled everything and was so helpful. They took care of all of the food ordering, set up, and take down which was catered from Woodshop and very good. Even gave us foil and wrap to take leftover food home. Got us ice buckets for our drinks. They let me bring balloons in earlier in the day and had everything set up when we got there. Great communication and very nice staff. Brand new lanes. Got a Father's Day gift certificate to this place for the BF's CPL class. Class was booked with a week's notice and no advisement was received that the shooting takes place offsite in FLINT. No bus is arranged to take you there, you have to take yourself. Class notification was updated to end at 7pm vs. 5pm as stated on the website. This was indicated on the day of the class taking place. You'd think that if you've been doing this awhile that you'd fully inform your customers about this. Kind of an important details, I think, in case one had dinner plans on that day or were dropped off or something. Highly annoying as I would had sought out another place if I knew this ahead of time. Reason I picked this location was because I thought it was convenient and close to my home. Supposedly the owner is building a shooting range close by sometime this year. Class is held next door at the owner's other place of business. Pizza, salad and soda were served for lunch. Only one bathroom for a large crowd of people in attendance and only a Keurig-style coffee machine available. So, basically, you'll be waiting awhile on the caffeine fix in addition to peeing. read more

For lack of better Yelp catagorization I'm stuck listing Accurate Firearms as a gun range, it isn't. This is a gun store without a range. Inside the store you'll find a great crew and unlike other local stores there is a wide variety of different makes and models. What really sets Accurate apart from the pack are the prices, I've found them to be well underneath the competition. They also offer CPL classes which is held in a very nice room. It's hard to fault them however I have run into the situation where a particular item that they carry was not available because they took it to a gun and knife show. read more

I'm turning 18 in a week and they would not let me and my little brother shoot or .22's for fun, now we won't be able to shoot and we get to go home and play video games:( disappointing that how in this day and age kids can't be trusted with a low caliber firearm with a range officer on the range. I like this range. Today was my first time at Accurate Range. I found it clean and inviting. Their prices are better than any other I have shot at. One big difference is two shooters can share a lane with no additional charge for the second shooter, unusual. The range officer Mike was very interactive and helpful. I like the benches behind the shooters available for either resting or additional area for temporary gun case/ammo/firearm storage, very convenient. I live in Wixom and my shooting friend lives in Hadley, a 20 mile trip for each of us. This will be our range of choice. We are seniors and with Monday being senior day we both shot for an hour (same lane) for just $15 total. A minor inconvenience was the difficulty hanging the targets. Lighting was good and ventilation superior. We also rented a gun to try out a revolver as we both have autos. I don't know their prices for ammo since we brought our own, typically ammo sold at ranges is premium priced. read more

BUYER BEWARE! A few months back, I purchase a Sig Sauer pistol from this retailer. A couple days after I purchased, I realized they sold me a pistol with a broken safety. I returned to the store and showed them the issue. They agreed to send it back to the manufacturer, as long as I paid for the shipping. They also wrote down the wrong serial number on my paperwork for my pistol, causing me even more headaches. No one in the store has been helpful, respectful, or cared about my situation. They have not kept any of their promises about following up with me or even sending my gun in for repairs- with the exception of one worker, Delaney was her name I believe. Finally, I decided to call Sig directly to get a status update, and it turns out they have not even received the gun, even though Accurate promised they shipped it in weeks ago. At this point all I want is my money back in the form of a refund. They have costed me enough time, frustration, and headache. They are refusing to grant a refund, but said I can speak with the owner. Hopefully they keep this promise, but given their track record, I am not optimistic. Update: I received a call from the owner, Jim, and rather than an opportunity to review the problem and come up with a solution together; I was simply yelled and screamed at, interrupted constantly with more screaming. When I politely asked him to calm down so we could have a rational conversation, he informed me his screaming was normal, that I didn't know him, and that if I wanted to hear screaming he would be happy to show me. read more

I made the short drive down the road and found a truly awesome place to do business. At the time i did not have a cpl, and i was shopping around for a shotgun to play around up north with. The first person that i met and talked to was Aaron. He understood that i wasn't the keenest on firearms, and he still treated me with respect and dignity. He showed me a bunch of new guns. I told him that i wasn't looking to spend my whole paycheck, and he showed me that they also have an assortment of used firearms. I'm sad to say that i haven't purchased a firearm here yet. i did however sign up and take the cpl course that they run on weekends. Overall awesome experience. The long class was kind of a drag, but it was a one and done kind of deal. Bailey was my instructor and she was kind, funny, and extremely informational. when the class took a break for lunch, they provided some awesome broasted chicken. After the long sit in the class room, we moved over to the range and all the staff helped everybody very efficiently. The shop, range, and class facility were all among the cleanest ive seen. When I decide on which pistol I choose to carry (they rent guns in the range also to help you decide), I am for sure going back to Accurate. Amazing staff and facilities. As a female who knew nothing about guns and shooting, and would hold it with two finger in case it decided to go off on it's own, Accurate staff took me under their wings. After talking to the owner, Jim in the gun shop, he personally walked me over to the range and introduced me to his staff. Thank you Jim, don't know you, but you were so caring. I asked them for private lessons and they quickly had me mastering my firearm safely and putting the majority of my shots in the red. Just check out the pic next to my name! They certainly have an eye for identifying any shooting flaws. The Range Manager, Bailey and HER staff made me feel like family, Bailey and Steven were always watching out for me. I was here to shoot my new Sig P320 pistol I got else where. They have you fill out a lot of paperwork before getting into the range. Which is kind of annoying, never had to anywhere else. And I go quite a lot. Range is nice, shoot as fast as you can control. Some places don't let you double tap. Nice, small place. Not the best prices around for firearms. I go to Guns Galore for the best prices. $50 bucks cheaper at Galore than Accurate for this pistol. Good shooting. read more

Took my CPL class here and couldn't be happier. The class was well taught, and included lunch from chicken shack and a free hour of range time voucher. There was a state police officer who came in and answered everyone's questions which was nice. I would recommend this to any beginners especially or anyone else looking for a CPL class. The range itself was also very nice and the people were all very friendly and helpful. Would be 5 stars but they charge and arm and a leg for long gun range time and require you to purchase their ammo if you want to shoot a rifle, and it's not the cheapest around. read more

We went to the store to check out some guns and they had a very nice selection , and I found them to be $50-$75 Cheaper on a couple of different hand guns. But what we were Impressed was the fact that the people behind the counter we're extremely polite , Down to Earth yet Very knowledgeable professionals ,True! And then came the Surprise; I didn't know they also have a Shooting Range : Nice Went back few days later to do some shooting Mike I believe was the man's name in charge of range. He was cool asked if I've ever shot here before? I said no. So he gave me an I-Pad to fill in information... Yeah ,I was a bit surprised but I wanted to shoot, it did take about 8-10 min. Done ! The range was clean and great condition. And he wasn't like a hawk on your every move as some other places do that. STOP GIVING THIS RANGE & STORE YOUR MONEY. I have been going here for a few years now. Been paying their TOP DOLLAR for a lane each time. Paid $30 for 1/2 for one of their lanes WHICH IS REDICULOUS. Shot today, went to collect my brass as I always do. Two people stopped me and told me I could not take my property, that my brass is now the property of Accurate Range. Long story short, Mike behind the counter admitted, the owner makes money off of peoples brass. I support my local gun stores and ranges, but I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO ACCURATE FIREARMS store or range. The owner is GREEDY, and stole my property.
