J.P brings first hand experience and uses what he has learned in his many years of service, to provide a complete understanding of the laws and expectations around carrying a concealed pistol. J.P is an instructor who ensures the safety of his students during the entire class with a no-nonsense policy. Regardless of your skill level with a firearm, J.P will ensure you leave the class with a better understanding of how to hold and shoot your pistol, when and when not to use it, and what to do after, should you have to use it. Thank you J.P for taking the time to teach this class, I will definitely be back for your tactical training courses when they are open again.

I am a total newbie to the Gun range thing. But I finally purchased a firearm and started…read moreresearching Gun ranges and Memberships. I narrowed it down to 2 places. Then I called them on the phone. I spoke to a young gentleman named Phil. Who immediately hooked me up with the right membership. Ever just meet someone and know you are going to like them? That's Phil! And as I later learned, everyone I've come into contact with that worked there. They were all so friendly, they immediately put me at ease. And made me feel welcome! They turned a seriously nervous newbie into a less nervous Novice... From Heather who worked with me before going into the range. To Mike that helped me with the waiver process. And Joe who kept me from making a mistake with my poor grip. And really made me feel more confident. I can only hope all of my future visits go as well!

I'm writing this review with a heavy heart, as I have been a loyal patron of RangeUSA for years…read more However, my recent experiences at their Southgate location have left me deeply disappointed and concerned about their business practices. Firstly, I encountered what I believe to be racially motivated incidents, which included delayed background checks and invasive personal inquiries. This alone was enough to make me reconsider my patronage. But what truly crossed the line was RangeUSA's refusal to initiate a new background check after 30 days, a policy clearly stated on the ATF's website. This, in my opinion, is an active prevention of my Second Amendment rights, which is unacceptable. Transparency, fairness, and respect for constitutional rights should form the backbone of any business, especially one dealing with firearms. Unfortunately, it seems like RangeUSA falls short in upholding these principles. I am left with no choice but to boycott their services until they address these issues and treat all customers equally and fairly. If being black is good enough for the ATF, it should be good enough for RangeUSA. I am filing a complaint reporting RangeUSA to the ATF for not complying with Federal Law which grants the right for a background check to be resubmitted after a delay and creating store rules that allow them to discriminate. I urge potential customers to think twice before supporting a business that seemingly disregards their customers' rights and treats them differently based on race. There are plenty of other firearm retailers who respect and uphold the principles of fairness, transparency, and constitutional rights.

I want to understand how to use, keep, and carry in the most safe and responsible way. Ann Arbor Arms is THE BEST range, store, and training facility for anyone from novice to professional/competitive shooter. It had been YEARS since I had handled a firearm. My biggest apprehension was if I could remember how to be safe from handling to firing to range. I joined A3 as an elite member last year but finally "pulled the trigger" (hehe) and signed up for a Ladies' Night last week. This was the best decision I could have made to reintroduce myself. Ladies' Night was from 5-7pm, with two hours of instruction and walk through before heading down to the range. Not only instruction but conversation, snacks and a safe space for women to ask any questions. A3 provided the sidearms and ammo. Everyone had a great time and was able to fire 12 shots at a target provided. I left with a lot more confidence to visit and expand my skill by leveraging the elite membership. I cannot say enough of how fantastic A3 is for a gun owner. They have tons of specials, sales, events and the membership perks are amazing. This was not my first visit or class but this was the first time I ever fired at this range. Hit me up if you have any questions or want to get a membership. Use my name and I'd get a referral bonus on my membership too ;) Definitely worth checking it out.
