I am a total newbie to the Gun range thing. But I finally purchased a firearm and started researching Gun ranges and Memberships. I narrowed it down to 2 places. Then I called them on the phone. I spoke to a young gentleman named Phil. Who immediately hooked me up with the right membership. Ever just meet someone and know you are going to like them? That's Phil! And as I later learned, everyone I've come into contact with that worked there. They were all so friendly, they immediately put me at ease. And made me feel welcome! They turned a seriously nervous newbie into a less nervous Novice... From Heather who worked with me before going into the range. To Mike that helped me with the waiver process. And Joe who kept me from making a mistake with my poor grip. And really made me feel more confident. I can only hope all of my future visits go as well! read more

I'm writing this review with a heavy heart, as I have been a loyal patron of RangeUSA for years. However, my recent experiences at their Southgate location have left me deeply disappointed and concerned about their business practices. Firstly, I encountered what I believe to be racially motivated incidents, which included delayed background checks and invasive personal inquiries. This alone was enough to make me reconsider my patronage. But what truly crossed the line was RangeUSA's refusal to initiate a new background check after 30 days, a policy clearly stated on the ATF's website. This, in my opinion, is an active prevention of my Second Amendment rights, which is unacceptable. Transparency, fairness, and respect for constitutional rights should form the backbone of any business, especially one dealing with firearms. Unfortunately, it seems like RangeUSA falls short in upholding these principles. I am left with no choice but to boycott their services until they address these issues and treat all customers equally and fairly. If being black is good enough for the ATF, it should be good enough for RangeUSA. I am filing a complaint reporting RangeUSA to the ATF for not complying with Federal Law which grants the right for a background check to be resubmitted after a delay and creating store rules that allow them to discriminate. I urge potential customers to think twice before supporting a business that seemingly disregards their customers' rights and treats them differently based on race. There are plenty of other firearm retailers who respect and uphold the principles of fairness, transparency, and constitutional rights. read more

I've talked to 5 of their salespeople and they were all super nice. Robert, he's a gem. Anytime I go for range time he would talk to me and ask about my day and what I'm up to. I went to trade in a firearm and purchase another snd he did it for me and he talked to pass time. Another associate clocked in for his shift and even joined in. All good folks there. Nothing but great service is all I can say, even one of the range attendants shook a hot casing from my jacket once. What some of you bad reviews must not realize is laws change regularly. You're not "racially targeted", the laws CONSTANTLY change. Do your research before purchasing a firearm, as it's a strenuous task to begin with. read more

Super inviting. Clean. Safe. Informative. They must treat their employees right because they have been very helpful in every way. I loved shooting here so much I bought a membership. I wouldn't ever do that usually but it's so clean and nice, it's a great place to practice and make sure your safety equipment is in good working order. I put a gun on layaway and when I was ready to take it home and pay in full the sales men start my paper work and ask me if I was a U.S citizen I responded no because im a legal U.S permanent resident so he said he is not allow to sale the gun to me or I cant have any guns he was completely wrong I own plenty of fire arms registered to my name..!! so now they keeping my $600 deposit and refusing to help me and accordingly to them they hit the refund button but I have not receive anything and they telling me there is nothing they can do.!! I got a email from corporate and they telling me they not refunding my down payment but it was not my fault..!! read more

My husband and I went to Southgate location and my husband wanted to buy him self a pistol instead he bought me one and he put a pistol he liked on layaway Manager Nathan was aware that my husband was not a U.S citizen and he knew that he is a U.s resident he then proceeded with the layaway. The next day comes around and my husband decides he wants to pay it off and pick up the pistol so we return to the store, Employee James said we couldn't purchase a weapon because being a u.s resident which we totally understand the rules but why would they go on with the layaway in the first place? Another employee comes and tells us that Mexicans are not allowed to shoot in the shooting range and proceeded to mention how we shouldn't own a pistol and my husband & I never had a problem with any situation like this before, we own a few pistols and never had to dealt with such racist comments. Before we left the store James deleted/voided the layaway which we were not aware of until after it was done and we were told that we should receive our refund of $600 before 3 days. We are now in the 4th day and we return to the store once again and they can't do anything to help us. We did not cancel the layaway ourselves we should not have to wait for our refund this long since it was the employees fault. Went in to shoot but ended up talking to salesman Nick for a while and he was absolutely wonderful. He helped me purchase a few things for my handgun and also sold me on a membership which has already paid for itself. I also got a free YEDI mug which was pretty cool. The price on ammo was unbelievable. I paid $10.99 before tax for a box of 50 Magtech 9mm 115 grain rounds. I'm new to handguns and ammo but based on my online research this seemed to be a great price. To top it all off, Nick came out while I was shooting and gave me some free instruction. I got his business card and definitely will be calling him for firearms lessons. The facility itself was amazing. It's large, clean, well lit, and has a great range of merchandise. The membership also allows me to rent any of the rental guns for free which is pretty cool because it'll allow me to use a red dot before making the investment. While I was impressed with the range and staff, I found them to be over-priced (about 40% higher for range time). $22 for the hour and NO half hour rental. In addition, they charge an annual $6 "facility maintenance fee". There are several other nearby ranges that allow half hour rentals and do not charge the additional fees. I like this new gun store. It's brightly clean, friendly staff, good classes, well organized, and good selection of guns and ammo.
