Many very sweet wines. Wine slushies available (I had a Banana Slushie). Enjoyable outdoor patio. Friendly staff!

When people think of whiskey in Indiana's Brown County, they might think of that other place. (You…read moreknow the one.) But there is another distillery quietly making small-batch, high-quality spirits in Nashville, and that's Bear Wallow Distillery. Located just outside of downtown Nashville, Bear Wallow Distillery is one of the only female-owned distilleries in the country. They create their spirits in a traditional copper pot still, which I learned is unique. Inside the tasting room, you can enjoy a whiskey tasting or a flight, or sip a craft cocktail and relax in the shop. I chose to enjoy a "Call Me Old Fashioned" standing up at the bar, while chatting with the guy who made me my drink. My Old Fashioned was well balanced, not too sweet and made me feel all warm inside, as a good Old Fashioned should. Those who are interested in learning more about the whiskey-making craft can go on a Farm-to-Fifth Tour, which takes you behind the scenes to learn about the history of whiskey and see the full production process. I did, and I found it very informative! I had a new appreciation for the kind of whiskey and spirits they are making here at Bear Wallow Distillery. From the ingredients they choose to the barrels they use, they really put their foot in it, as they say. If you like whiskey, or just like to try local spirits, this is a good place to visit in Nashville.

LOVED this distillery - small town vibes but such a fun space. I am usually not a whisky drinker…read morebut they had so many flavored ones that I actually enjoyed. The guy working was so nice and explained everything so we knew what the different whiskey's were. We loved it and I would for sure come back here. We went on a Sunday around lunch and there was no one else there. Very nice to have the place to ourselves!

The event at Cedar Creek was "come for the big Green egg festival" it said purchase tickets here…read moreonline we did. However, we found out after we got there if you wanted to participate in the big green egg fest, it was an additional $20 which my wife and my friend's wife wanted to try dearly. The food was delicious. Well worth the $20 and by the way all of that went to charity so kudos to them. the unfortunate thing for us was we got there at 3:30 and got great seats however it got so crowded people were walking all over you. if you wanted a beer or a mixed drink it was well over a 30 minute wait. we ended up leaving about 6:30 PM because we were getting trampled by people and there was no way to get any thing to drink without at least a 30 minute wait. it was pretty disappointing. One last thing the music was good.

It's about the cozy tasting room, the friendly staff, the overall aesthetic, and the outstanding food. I got fish and chips, and my wife got chicken strips and fries. I was taken aback by the small, bite sized pieces of fish at first, but they were just fantastic. I mean perfect! My wife loved her chicken, and we both raved about the fries. It was all piping hot and very filling for a reasonable price. We sat outside and ate while listening to a good live band. It was a wonderful afternoon. I'd go back there just to eat. Great place we both highly recommend.
