Went in around 10am, the employee greets me with a smile and seemed happy to help as I looked around. She was patient and knowledgeable. The place was clean inside&out and seemed welcoming. They have more of "exotic" doughnuts I'd say. Not much of the regular kind, I was looking for a non glazed (plain) blueberry doughnut. They had iced blueberry & glazed blueberry (which I know looks different but to me it's the same) I ended up getting half dozen of "deluxe" doughnuts and it was $15 and some change! That's insane, maybe this place isn't for me. The doughnuts & icing didn't taste fresh to me, wasn't fluffy much. At least a day old, haven't really been to a doughnut place that didn't have soft fluffy doughnuts at 10am. If they were fresh, Im not sure what they're doing. Thought I'd try this place out and see how good the donuts are. Walked in on a Saturday around 930-10 am it was empty thought cool no wait time. My kids picked what they wanted looked over to cashier she said we have a 4 dollar coupon for a dozen I said ok I'll do a dozen. Still was over $35 dollars. Get home and my kids went at it. I got NO response from them I had to ask were they good and they said ok. I tried one and could see why they were hard and had no taste to them. I was very disappointed to see my kids not enjoy them. Literally tossed them out because who wants to eat a hard donut. It was very disappointing. Croissant tasted very good, but I literally had one bite that had the ham and cheese in it. The whole croissant was just plain. My friend had the jalapeño ham and cheese after it was heated up there was still cold cheese in the center. Nothing melted. It had it reheat it and hers was basically the same more jalapeños around the croissant but no ham and cheese disappointed. $4.50 worth not even close. I read the reviews last night before coming in this morning to buy donuts-- this location is new, and they are still getting the kinks out, which is completely understandable. I see what the other reviews are talking about pertaining to the oil, but it isn't a big deal. Give them time to work on it. I am in no sense a Doughnut expert, but this place is good. It's a little pricy compared to Krispy Kreme, but again it's artisan Doughnut place. I wouldn't compare this with Krispy Kreme. I am pretty loyal to that franchise but I would any day try this place more and try their various flavors. Overall the customer service is good but if you are a first timer the front girl may sound a little rude but you know what may be she was having a bad day! The only reason I gave 4 stars out of 5 is cause the price, the average price per doughnut is $3.50 a piece. Their flavors are amazing especially the Matcha Tea flavor. Doughnuts are not that sweet but at the same time, the regular glazed was a little tough. Try this place you will like it. 8-20-22 Ok second visit to Randy's Donuts. The flies were either on vacation or the over abundant fly issue was solved...YEAH.....no flies swarming around the facility nor in the food cases....YEAH. There ordering and waiting process ran a lot smoother. The staff was great, totally different than what we experienced before. Helpful, informative, not stammering all over each other. I even received a card for a free donut next time. My husband who ate my cream filled bar said it was fresh and tasty he liked it. No stale donut there. My lemon filled donut required a lot more chewing.... a bit stale. The next morning I ate half of an apple fritter..... it was frittery (if that's a word). It was cooked to long which made it tough to eat, I put a dab of butter to soften and nuked it for 10 second...thank God I only ate half of it. Well that pretty much sums this review up. They are just way too delicious to pass up, I absolutely love the Chocolate Old-Fashioned. They gave me a free donut for the wait and they're definitely working hard to create a great experience. It's a small space but that's fine when you're picking up donuts to go. These are probably the most expensive donuts that I've ever bought. For six donuts I cannot believe that is almost $20. One of the things that I've been working on this year is saying no and not letting the pressure of buying something when I don't want it or need it. I'm so glad that I have been working on this because the guy had me convinced that I could get a dozen, and tell me why it was almost $38! My daughter and I visited Randy's Donuts in Riverside CA 7/7/24 for the very first time. We usually go to Randy's Donuts in Costa Mesa CA one of our Most Favorite places to visit. We decided to try the Riverside location because it's much much closer to us. What A Disappointment!! Our dounuts were raw, mushy in the middle, YUCK!! My daughter had the Green Chi Tea Donut and I had the Apple Fritter, Mushy Uncooked Donuts Are Disgusting to say the least!! Upon entering the shop, you have to be very very careful as there is a very thick extension cord attached to an huge inflatable donut and it would be very easy to take a tumble tripping over it if your not looking down!
