It was very disappointing. Croissant tasted very good, but I literally had one bite that had the ham and cheese in it. The whole croissant was just plain. My friend had the jalapeño ham and cheese after it was heated up there was still cold cheese in the center. Nothing melted. It had it reheat it and hers was basically the same more jalapeños around the croissant but no ham and cheese disappointed. $4.50 worth not even close. Great donuts for the money! Most places barely coat the top lightly with frosting but not Randy's. You get what you pay for here..quality donuts with a nice thick top frosting just perfect for the amount of Donut. I go here almost daily for a maple bar and i don't regret it. I decided to give this donut shop a try despite some of the negative reviews, hoping my experience would be different. Unfortunately, the reviews were right. I read the reviews last night before coming in this morning to buy donuts-- this location is new, and they are still getting the kinks out, which is completely understandable. I see what the other reviews are talking about pertaining to the oil, but it isn't a big deal. Give them time to work on it. I am in no sense a Doughnut expert, but this place is good. It's a little pricy compared to Krispy Kreme, but again it's artisan Doughnut place. I wouldn't compare this with Krispy Kreme. I am pretty loyal to that franchise but I would any day try this place more and try their various flavors. Overall the customer service is good but if you are a first timer the front girl may sound a little rude but you know what may be she was having a bad day! The only reason I gave 4 stars out of 5 is cause the price, the average price per doughnut is $3.50 a piece. Their flavors are amazing especially the Matcha Tea flavor. Doughnuts are not that sweet but at the same time, the regular glazed was a little tough. Try this place you will like it. They have a huge menu and it's difficult to decide but their Cherry, Matcha, Nutella, and Red Velvet is really good. read more

8-20-22 Ok second visit to Randy's Donuts. The flies were either on vacation or the over abundant fly issue was solved...YEAH.....no flies swarming around the facility nor in the food cases....YEAH. There ordering and waiting process ran a lot smoother. The staff was great, totally different than what we experienced before. Helpful, informative, not stammering all over each other. I even received a card for a free donut next time. My husband who ate my cream filled bar said it was fresh and tasty he liked it. No stale donut there. My lemon filled donut required a lot more chewing.... a bit stale. The next morning I ate half of an apple fritter..... it was frittery (if that's a word). It was cooked to long which made it tough to eat, I put a dab of butter to soften and nuked it for 10 second...thank God I only ate half of it. Well that pretty much sums this review up. Good job! Grand opening was yesterday and we swung by today around noon to check out the hype. Prices were great. No gouging prices for donuts. They had racks and racks of donuts to sell- which is amazing since it was noon and a line was starting to form. Staff was friendly and seemed like family. But the best part of it all- was the donuts. I do not like donuts, but every time I am in the area I ALWAYS make sure to get a couple donuts from this Randy's Donuts location. They are just way too delicious to pass up, I absolutely love the Chocolate Old-Fashioned. Every time I have gone the lady that serves me is always so incredibly kind and treats me like an old friend. The only thing that sucks is the location is a bit complicated to get to and that is isn't closer to my house. The vibes, though, are great and it is an amazing place to get some good quality donuts! read more

I went to the new shop in Riverside. While I've never been to the original location, the donuts were tasty and my drinks were great! They gave me a free donut for the wait and they're definitely working hard to create a great experience. It's a small space but that's fine when you're picking up donuts to go. These are probably the most expensive donuts that I've ever bought. For six donuts I cannot believe that is almost $20. One of the things that I've been working on this year is saying no and not letting the pressure of buying something when I don't want it or need it. I'm so glad that I have been working on this because the guy had me convinced that I could get a dozen, and tell me why it was almost $38! I had to tell him at least three times I didn't want the dozen. I just wanted half a dozen. The amount of pressure I felt was honestly not worth it. read more

My daughter and I visited Randy's Donuts in Riverside CA 7/7/24 for the very first time. We usually go to Randy's Donuts in Costa Mesa CA one of our Most Favorite places to visit. We decided to try the Riverside location because it's much much closer to us. What A Disappointment!! Our dounuts were raw, mushy in the middle, YUCK!! My daughter had the Green Chi Tea Donut and I had the Apple Fritter, Mushy Uncooked Donuts Are Disgusting to say the least!! Upon entering the shop, you have to be very very careful as there is a very thick extension cord attached to an huge inflatable donut and it would be very easy to take a tumble tripping over it if your not looking down! We will ALWAYS be going to Randy's in Costa Mesa from now on!!! read more

Sooo came here about a week after opening. Use to weekly get donuts from the la store for work. Excited to have one here on riverside. Got 2 donuts and it was 5 bucks. Wtf. Oh well. Horrible dried out and chivalry was falling off. Came back last week hoping to be better and on a Saturday night at 7pm, nope, they literally had about 10 Donuts available. As far as options go, I think there's a decent selection of more unique syrups for coffees. They do change it up throughout the year. The drinks here are definitely more of a premium price point, but I think they're generally good. Upon looking at the receipt, the person who took my order just gave me a regular cafe latte and didn't add the syrup I requested. The coffee was fine, but I would have liked trying something new. I have gotten several of their food options before, and I think that some of them are well-priced for the portion and some can be more on the expensive side. I think the avocado toast was pretty robust and was a good value. The steak and eggs are somewhat hit or miss, and I have had it multiple times. The cut of the meat can be chewy at times, and then also more lean and tender other times. Sometimes it comes with large pieces of chewy fat, which isn't quite to my taste. The sandwich options generally are a good value. I do kind of wish they switched up their menu a bit more often, since this current menu is rather basic and they have had more interesting food options before. Overall, a decent choice for a more premium coffee, tea, and food for the Downtown/UCR area of Riverside. Service is okay, and I have had somewhat mixed experiences with that. The employees generally seem pleasant and they're nice, but I have gotten incorrect orders at least a couple of times. During this particular visit, in which the photos are from, I had to ask two different people to get extra napkins. Our actual server was the first to acknowledge, then possibly forgot and didn't come back.

The guy at the front was nice and friendly! Super chill. We took out items and sat towards the side, under their large TV. He switched on the TV and ended up playing the World Cup game!! I had drank a nice and chilled Space Dust IPA from the tap and my partner had a Blue Moon. I was very delighted by their glazed donuts which were massive! For $6, it was bigger than our faces; I'm guessing x3 the size of a regular donut. I enjoyed it because it was sweet, doughy, and perfectly glazed. A twist of a donut shop, but for their variety of drinks, I don't mind it! Loved the experience. Thank you for having us!

My favorite thing to get is the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant, and the smoothies (which are only available after 11 AM). Definitely a must-try!

They were excited to eat their donuts inside until the woman frantically and aggressively yelled at them to sit down sit down....I am an active mom and am the first to reprimand my kids...but they were not doing anything out of the normal of kids. I won't be back. The color of my money was welcome but not the color of my and my babies. Do better.
