First, know ownership changed last year and the new owners are great! Definitely 5***** now! Second, know what a shop DOESN'T do is often as important as what it DOES DO. After an analysis of my car they DID NOT do an expensive repair on my car because they said "ETHICALLY IT WOULD NOT BE RIGHT TO DO IT!" The second opinion on my car was FREE too. I'll definitely be back when trouble rears its automotive head. WOW! Third, Curtis, who runs the shop (and I think owns it) is fantastic. We have referred many friends to Randy's and they have always raved about the positive, well done, trustworthy service they have received as well. Recently we had a brake line go out on one of our vehicles, in which we were driving across country the very next morning, Randy personally stayed after hours on a Friday night, along with another mechanic, Mike, and repaired our vehicle, this is UNHEARD of with other businesses. You'd be a fool to go to this place for any auto service, not only is the clerk lady rude and totally unprofessional but her attitude towards helping is very nonchalant. Me and my girlfirend took her car up here thinking with all the good reviews it was a good place boy we were wrong and very misled. We paid them 800$ to fix her car and when she got her car back her car was shaking like it was going to explode and every light possible was on in her car mind you none of this was happening before we took it to them. We call to let them know whats going on and that same rude and very unprofessional clerk told us and I qoute "Its impossible for it to be anything we did" then told us we would have to pay another inspection fee for them to make sure it wasnt there doing. We decided to take it to another mechanic from a bigger chain and gave them the paperwork randys gave us showing what they did and according to the new mechanic none of the work they said they did was done and they also put the wrong parts back on my girlfriends car. The new mechanic even called randys letting them know and they shrugged it off and took absolutely zero blame for messing her car up. BEWARE!!! We used to take our three automobiles to Randy's for maintenance and repair. The longer we used them, the more expensive they became. Their mark-up on parts are unreasonable and their service charges are too high. After charging us $200 to replace valve cover gaskets on an older chevrolet, we had enough. Save yourself the aggravation and go to Mag Co on Midway... UPDATE: Must have us confused with someone else - no help with garage door. I called 2 other garages for estimates after returning home and both agreed the charge was double what they would have charged. There is much more about the poor service we could have added, but am sparing the details. We stand by this review and would have given less than 1 star if we could have. read more

I failed my emissions after having check engine light on. Randy's auto service happened to be on the list of registered repair companies. I took my van there and they were able to recommend a rental car service at a discounted rate, however the rental car company was incredibly busy, so Jen, the sales representative at Randy's auto service personally drove me to the rental car company to get my rental. I was told upfront what the diagnostic rate would be. Jen stayed in constant communication with me in regards to the progress that was being made on my car. She called to let me know that the work had been completed on my van and then I could come and pick it up. I knew after the repairs I needed to go have my emissions test redone, and to my pleasant surprise when I went to pick up my van Jen had already had the car retested at the omissions facility. I would recommend this auto service to anyone there fast friendly and professional. read more

We take 4 cars to Randy's for service, and have been very happy. They are always friendly, always willing to explain what they have done, and reasonably priced. They even stayed at the shop late once so they could finish up one of our cars that day so we wouldn't have to be without it that night and the next day. Four stars instead of five because I had some problems with a brake repair once. Brakes materials were replaced for free under manufacturer warranty, but we had to pay the labor again. Seems that should have been covered under the warranty too. Overall though we've been pleased with the team and their work. read more

Not enough people write a review about good experiences, so I am writing one regarding Randys. I went to a few other mechanics to have an estimate for repairing my sons VW Beetle. My ex-usual mechanic said it would cost $900, another said he could do it for around $700. When I went to Randys Auto Service (per my daughter in-laws suggestion) he said that if he replaced the whole unit (catalytic converter and downpipe) it woud cost me around $700, however if I let him just repair the split pipe, he could do it for $230. Randy has become my #1 mechanic of choice and I highly recommend him to anyone wanting alternatives to expensive repairs. read more

Had a 1995 Ford Explorer that just would not start. Lived in Colorado Springs at the time. Brought to 2 Garages in the Springs. They connected it to the computer and it said it was the Fuel pump. They replaced it twice as problem kept coming back. Finally had enough. Moved to Broomfield and towed Explorer to Randy's. Told him the problem. He looked at it. Connected it to the computer and it told him it was the fuel pump. I had explained to him what happened in the past. He went further and found it was A RELAY THAT WENT BAD, not the pump. Previous two garages never went this far. Replaced relays and problem was solved. Great Job, Randy!!! read more

I originally went in for an alignment. Ended up spending over $1200. I knew I had some other problems beyond an alignment, but what is bothering me is that they stated my springs were bad and that was why my car was "sagging". Well turns out the car was lowered, and my car is still "sagging". But instead of saying that, they went and charged me for new springs anyway. I'm 99% sure my other springs were fine, but they wanted to get a few hundred extra dollars out of me. read more

I recently took my car there after having done some damage to the drivers side front end. They quoted me an estimate of over $1900. The car is an older model and not worth putting that much money into it. They told us they would give us $100 to junk it. I decided to take it home to figure out our next move. I ended up calling our insurance to have them write the car off. After the insurance company review, a DIFFERENT local auto shop fixed the damages for less than $400 dollars. The car works great, all damages have been repaired. I hit a curb and did damage to the tire and steering knuckle. Randy's would have sold me an entire new rotor, knuckle, steering arm assembly. I usually don't write reviews, but I know nothing about cars and feel I would have been completely ripped off by this garage. Not to mention all the hassle I went through thinking my car was totaled.
