They said replacing all 4 would be costly. 8 days later, they just received parts at noon and were just putting it on lift. Car was ready less than 5 hours later at 4:45. No hourly labor charge on invoice or time spent, just $450. Showed up with $400 and told total was $849! No calls or authorization to double the bill! Work order is very sketchy with schematics showing 1 hose ordered and a line item of repairing a line for $46. No parts returned, just red marks on 2 pics of the same schematic showing 1 part for 1 wheel. Several family's have used these crooks and will never again. If you want to get hosed, take er down to J & R auto in Waldwick NJ.

The first time, my Jeep was bucking very badly. I took it to some other places, and nearly all of them told me that they were going to have to replace my entire transmission. I brought my car to Ara, and I got a call less than 3 hours later. I needed a new engine coil and spark plugs, and not a new transmission. The first time I met this guy, he saved me about $1,000 by diagnosing my problem correctly. He also returned my car to me unbelievably fast. The second time I had my car towed there because I knew the solenoid was shot. Being in sales I constantly start my car 10 - 15 times per day. I know that most places typically charge around $500 to replace your starter. After putting $500 into my checking account to pay the bill, Ara handed me a bill for $368.68. He also only had my car for a period of about 4 hours, meaning that it was rather convenient because I didn't lose use of my car for a very long time. Lastly, this guy is trustworthy, and a very nice man. That's a big deal to me. His work is dependable, and you're not going to have your car in for service every other week. Plus he's usually is down there seven days a week, so you're guaranteed to always be leaving your car with an experienced mechanic rather than a gas station attendant. I highly recommend you give this guy a shot the next time you're having car problems!

My 1994 Isuzu Rodeo needed some regular maintence work but I had a strange gas smell. When Brain looked at my car he called me and explained that my filler neck was rusted and he would get a replacement part. Unfortunately the part is no longer available, Brain then explained clearly and concisely what they could do to fix the problem, with a diagram. The work was done very quickly and for less than the price quoted. Since the repair is a band-aid until I can located a replacement part from a junk yard ( Isuzu no longer carries the part) he would like to see the vehicle in 2-3 months free of charge. The best part about this garage is that I normally have to claim the vehicle is my father's to keep mechanics from trying to sell me more work than I need. Brain on the other hand, spent twenty minutes talking about different cars with me as if I was a man. Any women should free like they are in great hands with the Shanahan Brothers. Since that time all the work done on my car was done in this garage. They are wonderful hard working mean and are always willing to go above and beyond the call of duty.
