So, I actually signed up for Yelp just to leave Randy a review! I have gone to Randy twice now, the first time was to get my summer highlights and this second time for a new cut and for a fall color. I absolutely loved my highlights! He really helped make my curls pop more (which I have just started wearing about two years ago -after YEARS of straightening my hair) He was very patient, super fun, and incredibly informative about the products that he was using in my hair. He made me feel completely at ease and made the experience absolutely enjoyable. I have gone to places where you experience the awkward small talk and finally decide to retreat to silence, but that is never the case with Randy! Now, I'm currently going through some personal changes, and of course what's the first thing you do? Change your hair! So I made an appointment with Randy, and I came in with a picture and a description of how I wanted my hair. So he got to work and checked in with me every step of the way. Once he was finished I was absolutely thrilled with the darkness and the length! I thought, "Yes! I'm ready for this new change in my life!" Trust me, I've gone from long hair to bobs to pixies. I called salon sessions about 2 months ago to schedule a hair cut. I had never been so I looked up reviews on yelp, and saw really good ones of Randy- I had to see him. So so happy I did. He walks you through every step. We talked about what I wanted, he gave suggestions but was never pushy or imposing, and his work- awesome! I was sold after that first session, so came in a month later to get the brazilian blowout- and again, he did an excellent job. Randy opened up his salon especially for us on his day off just to help us out with a hair disaster, which was incredibly kind! He was also great with entertaining kids as a surprise bonus. His shop is impeccable and has a nice vibe, although a little hidden. He was great about helping us find it though and even warned us to find parking early due to the farmers market. The actual haircut wasn't much like the photo my fiance brought in, and definitely took some getting used to, but I think that was kind of on him for not communicating the cut he wanted well enough, so still overall a good experience. read more

I've been going to see Randy for about ten months now. He's never ever disappointed me when working on my hair. He takes my input and puts all his creativity and experience to work and voilá my hair is transformed and my attitude is as well. Everyone loves that extra confidence get when you get a great new look. Randy uses THE BEST products too! After my cut and color he uses ORIBE styling products. I met Randy Madden during a photo shoot we were both working on for a local boutique. We hit it off right away. His work was great so I asked him to come work on an editorial I was shooting. I got my hair fixed by Randy at Chignon. Three days prior to going to Randy, I went to another place to get a regular shoulder length hair cut but walked out with a really bad cut. A friend of mind had gotten her hair done at Chignon by Randy and her hair looked amazing. So after she saw the disaster I had gotten she urged me to go to Randy too. I will admit I was skeptical when I walked in becuase I didn't want my hair any shorter, but I figured my hair couldn't look worse then it already did. When Randy looked at my hair he was very kind and didn't laugh or judge but rather gave me suggestions on cute hair cuts he could do based on what he had to work with. I tried dying my hair my self.... Never a good idea when you don't know exactly what you are doing. Basically it turned out bright yellow, the color of the sun kind of yellow.
