Don't waste you time dealing with them, they won't receive your call, won't get back to you , won't reply to your emails.

Hey, so, I got laid off last week. One of many during the late '08/early '09 recession, and we're…read moreall in the unemployment lines. Massachusetts added extra hours and staff to handle all the unemployment requests. I'd really heard nightmares about waiting in line for hours and hours and hours only to be turned away at closing time because the center was over-capacity. Thankfully this unemployment site in Woburn has its act together. I got there just as it opened, and instead of being instructed to take a number and wait all day (oh god how I wish I was exaggerating, this economy BLOWS), I was directed to a classroom full of other newly-unemployeds. We were addressed as a group on how to start the claim process, the instructor answered our questions (so many exceptions, so much confusion), and then shown how to fill out the forms we needed to get done and sent on our way. The process couldn't have been more painless or quick, all things considered. I was there only an hour and a half, all my questions answered, all my paperwork done. Thank you Woburn Career Place. But I hope I don't have to see you guys ever again.

They even list postings on their website. They host interviews with companies, and also have training courses (some paid, some not). Overall I am satisfied with the career place. (this is why I do not like yelp is because people are too oversensitive and don't rate places properly)

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. They always answer my questions quickly and courteously. They also found me a job within a week of getting on their lists. I enjoy the job I work at now. Now come the reasons for the 4 star rating. Neither Medix nor their employees speak to you directly about all the consequences of what being a temp are. Make sure you ask about the following if you are considering becoming a temp. 1) You have to wait anywhere from 3 to 6 (or even more) months before you are even **considered** for permanent employment. If you do get permanent status, you have to wait 3 more months for your benefits, meaning you might have to wait up to 9 months to get any benefits. 2) You do not get paid for any hours you don't work. This sounds logical until you realize you don't get paid for **holidays** or for hours not worked if your work closes down for any reason (i.e. weather, early release, summer hours). Thanksgiving and Christmas are out of the question. I was very upset at this because I'm working to get them money and they won't even consider paying me holiday pay. Bottom line: Go here if you are in desparate need of a job, they'll more than likely find you one. However, be aware that as a temp you don't get paid for holidays or when work closes down early, you might have to wait up to 9 months for health benefits, and during the first 3 to 6 months you have no sick/PTO time being accrued.

This so called Employment Staffing Agency is the worst.. For anyone in the Billerica MA area,…read morePlease AVOID Triton Staffing. Very unprofessional in all aspects of assisting unemployed workers. I know first hand. A year ago Triton Staffing placed me in a Temp to Perm position at a manufacuring company.. There 1st lie was telling me the "Temp" part was for 3 months then the company would have the option to hire me directly.. my 3 months went by, then another month. I finally spoke to the companies HR director and she informed me that Triton signed a 1 yr "temp" contract.. so I called my rep "Tatiane" at Triton and she claimed she never signed such contract.. I'm not done yet..The company I was placed at was losing business therefore there was a layoff.. I applied for enemployment ( at which Triton would be responsilbe for). I obided by the rules of working with a Temp Agency.. once you are involved in a lay-off you need to contact your agency rep once a week letting them know you are still available for work which I did.. After applying for enemployment weeks and weeks went by without receiving a benefit check ( to which I was clearly eligible for ),, I finally called my unemployment office and they told me that Triton Staffing informend them that I "Voluntarily" quit.. Are you Kidding me??? So of course I called Triton to find out why they told unemployment that I so called "Quit" and guess what.. I was hung up on. I called again and was then yelled at.. At that point, I physically went to Tritons Office and was told that if I didn't leave, they were going to call the police.. It is beyond me how this so called Staffing Agency is still in business, But I have a feeling they won't for long.. I know for a fact that I am not the only person they have done this to.
