I must say I have to completely disagree with Darrah. My experience with Randstad in Burlington was very positive. Not only did I meet with Roman he introduced me to the other people in the office. When I came in he offered me coffee and water that I declined due to the nerves. During the interview he asked me many difficult questions but gave made me feel comfortable to answer honestly. Since I have registered with Roman I have received emails from David, Marc, and the other person on job opportunities in all of the areas that they work in. Ok here goes nothing. I worked with Lauren at the Milford office and she was great. Got me a few week gig close by to my house also great. She continued to find me jobs after I had found,full time employment on my own. A year later I am currently looking for work again and the Milford office now does not do the office and admin anymore but the Burlington office does. I drove 40 miles from my house to re interview with a recruiter named Roman. Such a waste of time. Not only did he Dilly dally and make me wait while he was clearly not busy. Our interview was such a joke. Not only did he offer me a Job that was already on my resume the job was 50 miles away from my house After we had just discussed I was only willing to travel 20. He didn't even look at my resume. Then he didn't answer any of my "checking up" emails. So I laid into him...don't think I'll be getting a job with this company. I was searching for temp jobs in my area. I saw a position posted on Craigslist and immediately replied. Ashley, from Randstad in the Woburn office, responded and and told me about the position. She said the only issue is you have to have a face-to-face interview in the Woburn office before being accepted for the position. I drove 50 min. to and from to interview with Ashley. The temp position was to start in 5 days. She promised a call back on certain times, a few days went by, and then she said 'Oh, our client has changed his mind and is no longer hiring for temp work, and it will not be part time either. He's now looking for a permanent full time person. He'll start his search in a few weeks. NOT COOL AT ALL. Obviously Randstad does not have signed contracts with clients when bringing qualified candidates in, or a better guess, they make up the positions to bring candidates in that they hope they can place elsewhere. To everyone who is using Randstad Staffing Services or intends to, This is by far the worst staffing company I used. I understand that no staffing agency is perfect, but at least they should respect and positive attitude for the people they are serving. Here is my story: A year ago, my contract work ended and I was very anxious to look for a job since I have no income. I came across Randstad online and applying for a few positions on their website before the staffing agency contacted through email and ask me to go to their Burlington office to interview. I drive 10 miles there on time and someone just handed me some documents to filled out and told me to watch a video. No one came to get me after I watch the video so I handed back the filled forms to the guys at the desk. he told me he will get the manager, then after 10 minutes or so, he said the manager is busy. The issue here is the manager was the one who ask me to come in and then he was busy. Since we agreed to an appointment, I did not see his respect for me when he just totally forgot and ask another staff to fitted in. I didn't think it was too big of a deal then since it is the same no matter who meets with me. Another issue came up when that staff Roman asked if I am interested in Admin positions after I told him about my experiences and I would like to get jobs relative to the IT/ software development jobs. He did not told me that he will help me find the job that best meet my criteria instead he is giving me the assumption that he will put me in a job that they have connections with. Since I was anxious to find a job then, I said it is okay for me to do admin jobs. From then one, I received only emails from them regarding different opportunities. The job descriptions that they sent me were vague and many require more years of experiences than what I had. I replied to the ones that I am interested, but then one of the branch manager reply back asking me if I had that many years of experiences. From a user of staffing agency service, I believe it is the job of the agency to understand the user's qualifications and send him/her the opportunities that he/she will be qualify first instead of just throwing out all the opening positions they have from the companies they work for. Randstad staffing agency clearly does not have that kind of service. After many replied about my interest on my job posts they sent me through the email, too many replies for me to count, and still no responses to any of my replies. I asked through the email if the company they work with going to contact me or them. I just received a short message saying "it will be them that are going to contact me if I the companies I applied to are interested in interviewing me". The branch manager asked me to called her and ask me over the phone if I am interested in data entry roles. Then before I could explain, they stated that they have reached out to me many times for offerings. I told them that I have never received any of their calls regarding any interviews or further meetings. They told me if this happen the second time, I will be terminated from their system since it looks bad because I am representing Randstad. After explaining that I never received any of their calls or email, they did not believe me and that got me to think they are putting the blame on me for not communicating to me clearly. I could be reached at my email and through the phone. I sent them numerous copies of my resumes and their service then just disappoints me. Since they have already blamed me for this, I do not want to upset them and make them stop helping me in my job search, I apologize for any miscommunication on my end. Soon after that someone finally reached out to me over the phone about an opportunity and told me that the one of the company they work for is interested in interviewing me. I got an phone interview and they got back to me right the next day saying they will offer me the role. The same day I got another offer which is better, so I emailed the Randstad staff was handling this asap, that I could not accept the offer because I have accepted another offer and that their offer schedule conflicts with the schedule of the better offer. He replied that "he will have to terminate me from their system because this is the second offense. Also the company they service is upset and the money for the background screen is out." I did not expect a big staffing agency such as Randstad would have such bad service. I thought they should ask if I have accepted the offer before doing a background check. Their assumption that I will accept the offer is not professional. Other interviews and offers that I deny did not blame me instead they said it is okay and hope the best of luck in my new job. Other than the fact that they help me find employment, I believe they have terrible communication with the people the help find work and they provide unprofessional staffing services. read more

Randstad does not care about job seekers - they care more about making their commission. Make sure you ask a lot of questions and know what you are getting yourself into when choosing a staffing agency or even an assignement. read more

"Hello, this is Amber, Crystal or whatever from Ranstad calling and we have some positions that would be a great fit for you so please contact us as soon as you can!" I contact them in good faith and they respond with "We don't have anything but call us back in a few weeks." Why bother with this organization? Clearly, they have a quota of outbound calls they need to meet daily so they go on these time wasting fishing trips.....If they call you, don't respond. read more
