WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY WITH A SMILE BUT IT'S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET SOMEONE OUT FOR SERVICE! AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!! I wish I would had read the reviews before doing any business with this company! 1. The city came out to do an inspection after the installation of my furnace and air conditioning unit, the furnace was not properly connected to my water heater so they had to come out and correct it which took them weeks to do! 2. The following winter the heat went out on one the coldest days of winter. Seeing that Randazzo "warranties" the products they sell for 3yrs, I contacted them only to be told that their would be an "after hour" fee for a technician to come out even though my PRICEY unit had been installed only 1yr prior! 3. Last month I tried to cut on the air for the first time this year and it was blowing warm air. I contacted Randazzo to send a technician out and was told the first available appointment was 2 weeks away! WOW! The day of my appointment I received a phone call 1 1/2 hour before my scheduled appointment to be told my appointment needed to be rescheduled because their were no technicians available in my area, and the next available appointment would be two days away?! I asked to have someone out sooner than that seeing that I had patiently waited two weeks already and I couldn't be there for the rescheduled appointment. I was told there was no way to have an sooner appointment and they could send someone out the next week which would now be 3 weeks without air!!!!! I requested a manager and was told all managers were assisting other customers, and a call back could be submitted. I asked how long would it take for a call back once the form was submitted and was told 24-48hrs! WOW! I stated that I would wait on the phone for a manager to become available and was placed on hold for 15mins. A manager by the name of Tim ( TOTAL WASTE OF TIME) came to the phone, he was one of the rudest people I have every dealt with in my life! He cut me off in the middle of sentences and was being insensitive about the whole situation. Neither Tim or Brian (the person who called to reschedule my appointment) offered any type of apology for me having to wait two weeks for a technician to come, then be told on the day of my appointment, 1 1/2 hour before, my appointment had to be rescheduled! I told Tim his was being rude and he said " thanks for the compliment" wow! When requesting to speak to someone else he told me there is no one else I could speak to, no one above him would speak to customers!! When I originally called to get an estimate one of the Randazzo's themselves came to my home to give me an estimate, so how is it that they don't talk to customers concerning issues with the products they are happily selling with a "warranty", or to take a complaint about the rudeness of their employees?! How is it they will come out the very next day to give you an estimate so they can get your money but it's almost impossible to have a technician come out and service the unit they installed in a timely, reasonable manner?! DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY! After you pay for the products they're selling that can care less about their customers or servicing their products! read more

I was told that they would throw in a wify thermostat if I chose their highest price package. Nothing. After having the air on for 2 days at a low temp it was still very sticky in my home. I was told to turn the temp down 2 more degrees, to 70, and maybe the dehumidifier would kick in. I have never run my central air below 76 at other homes and was always comfortable. I'm not sure I got a dehumidifier wither. I am impoverished and they took my money and gave me very little for it. read more

Well after spending $7000 on a new a/c and furnace 2 years ago I've been noticing it's struggling to stay under 75 on hot days, when I have it set at 70. I call up and receive rude service from Erica. I ask to speak with a manager who may have been worse. Tim, didn't offer to help at all. He told me to hose off the a/c unit and see if that helps. Seriously? Then he tells me my warranty expired a month ago. He really wouldn't cover it. It's brand new, only 2 years old and a month over their "labor warranty". I asked him if he would honor the warranty as a good business man would. He laughed and asked if I was a first time homeowner. Excuse me? He told me it's $199 for them to come clean it, even though their snarky salesman, Rob, told me 5 years maintenance free. What a great business. I called up c & c to see what they could do and they won't even work on it because they didn't install it. The kicker, the lady told me it should be covered by randazzos and when I told her they wouldn't unless I paid for it she was shocked! How sad. I went with randazzo because I've heard great things about them and figured if there was an issue they would handle it professionally. I thought wrong. I will not recommend them to anyone. They lost customers for life. My parents need a new ac, guess who they won't be going to?! read more

Unfortunately, I'm extremely disappointed and would never recommend Randazzo. Our A/C went out, so I called them since they were the maintenance under our furnace. The tech came out, told me the compressor was shot, not worth fixing. We set up an installation for new a/c and furnace, since they were both the same age and, of course, a better deal to get both. We had another heating & cooling company come out as well, to get another quote. He ended up telling us there's nothing wrong with the a/c. It needed a simple fix that cost us a few bucks. I know there are times when everything needs replacing, but not this time! This company we went with, told me I'll get another 5 years at least from the a/c. I could not believe Randazzo tried screwing us. And how many people do they do this to? My warning to others. Definitely get other quotes and other companies to look first!! read more

Memorial Week-end 2016- The day before my husband and I were to fly to Florida our A/C stopped working. My mother who is disabled and on oxygen was house sitting with my animals. She is unable to breathe well when it is humid without A/C as she has COPD. So I contacted Randazzo and they came to my house right away and were able to install the a new A/C the next day. ( ours was at least 15 years old so we needed a new one) Unfortunately they ran into a snag with the install but stayed until the issue was corrected and the A/C was working as it should. They went the extra mile by installing a window unit we had for her while they worked on the A/C to keep her comfortable. My husband and I were in Florida by this time and we really appreciate their kindness, flexibility and commitment. I would recommend their service to others. I read some other messages here and I hope that I never have a negative experience with them. I would be so disappointed as I am very impressed with their performance. read more

When my furnace gave out a couple of years ago . . on the coldest day of the year . . I called Randazzo for quote on a new furnace and ac. They had a great price and could install the next day. They were efficient and tidy. Every tech that has been here since, for yearly check ups, has been the same. I would recommend them for a new install or repair. read more

If I could choose no stars I would. After spending $8000 for new heating and cooling they are trying to charge me $1000 to add vents to my addition, which they knew about. The foundation was there and the units were upsized but this wasn't included!? They do not run an integral business nor all all things possible through Jesus as their on hold message states. read more

Made an appointment was told someone would be here between 12 and 5, to make a long story short no one came until 6 and I advised them that I had a baby at home, which meant nothing to them,they replaced the igniter which took no more that 10 minutes and ripped me off 270.00, for a 50.00 part, I will change it myself next time or for those that don't know how to change try calling, a mom and pop operation. I asked the tech how much it would be he said he wasn't sure, Until her brought the bill out, would not recommend Randazzos name should be changed to Ranripoff alert. read more

WOW I was going to add a one star review but I see everyone else has beat me to the punch! The customer service is terrible!! We have been without heat for four days and they can't follow up where the part is and says no one in the ENTIRE state of Michigan has the part they could use then repay. I was told to go but a space heater and Home Depot and return it when the part arrives!! REALLY??!! My furnace is six weeks old. What a mess. Buyer beware. read more

I purchased a new Lenox AC and furnace in July 2015 for my condo. Randazzo did switch their initial estimate appointment a couple of times, but I didn't care as I was in no hurry. I called a few places for estimates and they were the lowest for the equipment, so I had them install it. The sales rep gave me several options based on budget and did not push any of them - it was all up to me. On my installation date (about 3 weeks out from when I purchased it) a team of three showed up and worked in my cramped condo. They were seemed quite knowledgeable and concerned about doing a great job and making me happy. I really think they went above and beyond by correct old problems to make this work properly. I was so impressed, I mean really impressed. I loved it, THEN my condo gave me grief about it as Randazzo had replaced ALL the lines with new and the Condo wanted me to use the old ones with holes in them (how do you say Ann Arbor?). Grant Randazzo worked with the condo association explaining the process and insuring everything was good. I saw some bad reviews and frankly am surprised by them. I would hire them again and have recommended them to others. read more

We had our ac unit and furnace installed 3 years ago. Last August a friend had to come out and recharge the ac unit because Randazzo wanted to charge $100 just to come out and look at it. They also told me that there was no warranty any longer available. Now being that it's almost 90 degrees we are stuck in a bind with no air conditioning which we paid over $6,000 dollars for. I called multiple times this afternoon with being hung up on. I called a local company to come out to fix it and then was told our installation was wrong. Exhaust pipe and intake pipe are right next to each other which are supposed to be 12 inches apart from each other for obvious reasons so we don't intake the exhaust. The ac unit on the ground is not leveled which causes issues with the ac unit. I called Randazzos shortly after the other company left and asked if I had a warranty. I now magically have a parts warranty until 2018. I didn't have that last August. Now I wait for a installation manager to call us. Either way a horrible experience and horrible customer service. Please stop stealing money from hard working people. read more

my water heater kept dying and we would have no hot water..called roto rooter for help and they "didn't know how to work on this type of heater" called randazzo as soon as I found out they worked on water heater and they came out right away...charged almost nothing and FIXED IT!!! was never so thankful. amazing customer service too. also had AC unit installed last year by randazzo and that was an amazing experience as well. would recommend them to anyone! read more

I just had a furnace and air conditioner installed and everything went great. From the initial call, to the salesman coming out (I called him back numerous times with additional questions) to the installation everything was done very professionally. The installers arrived on time, worked throughout the day and cleaned up before they left. They answered all of our questions and gave us a thorough run through of the system. I would strongly recommend Randazzo's, and yes their jingle drives me crazy. read more

On Aug. 15th, our AC died! We have the Home Protection Plus coverage with DTE , and called for service. The tech confirmed that our AC could not be repaired and that we would need a new unit. He gave us a couple names of local installers, which we called right away. One never called back, and the other called to say they were too busy to come out but gave us a ballpark cost and said they were "weeks" behind on installations. On Aug. 16th. I call Randazzo's to see if they serviced the Grosse Ile area. They said they did, and I was able to schedule a sales person to come to our home the very next day, Aug. 17th. The rep., Tamar, came to our home. He was very professional and very knowledgeable of the products. He explained that since our unit was over 15 years old, there were updates that needed to be made to our furnace, as well as the new AC unit. My husband is also very knowledgeable about the mechanics of AC/Furnace, so he knew Tamar was not giving him any mis-information. After getting a couple other quotes, we went with Randazzo for our new AC unit. The installers were at our home the very next day, Aug. 18th, and within a few hours, our AC was up and running. The installers, Jeff and Josh were very nice, worked quickly and cleaned up before leaving our home. It is a great looking AC unit, Lennox, and running like a fine turned machine. Thank you Randazzo for such good service. Never thought we could get a new unit installed so quickly - especially after speaking with the other AC install companies. read more

I needed a fan motor for my Lennox furnace. Despite taking the numbers off the old motor (which I brought in with me) they sold me a motor that wouldn't run for more than a few minutes before overheating and shutting off when the internal circuit protection opened up. After getting the correct motor from someone who knew more about Lennox furnaces, I went to return the one they sold me. Despite not having any signs in the showroom or any documentation about their return policies on my receipt, they told me they would not refund my money. read more

My furnace and AC failed almost the same time in 2017. I got several quotes from the local and highly advertised HVAC installers on my AC because it failed first. Needless to say the salesman from Randazzo... the one featured in the Michigan TV commercials showed up at my home and quoted an AC unit at a price that was $800 to $1000 more than the highest quote I received up to that point. I also received other quotes from Randazzo for much higher efficiency AC units that were thousands of dollars more. He was not very informative on the need for a high efficiency AC. Note to all Michigan residents: you are being duped if you purchase a high efficiency AC unit. It doesn't pay off. But the Randazzo Sales rep was not honest as many of the local and smaller dealers. He was leaving a decision up to me without any professional opinion. I have no comment on Randazzo's ability to install AC units .. but if you have a lot of money and are ignorant about furnaces and AC units ... and fall for big commercial ads ... then go with a Randazzo. I went with a local contractor ... got both furnace and AC for as much as the middle quote from Randazzo for just AC. I got the same equipment that Randazzo sells ... Lenox ... and got my ducts cleaned for free. If you have money to throw away ... go with a name you know ..... Ha Ha! read more

Pete was downright shady. When I purchased my house we contracted them to install our A/C unit. Since we bought our house in August, it took until the following summer to realize the air wasn't as cold as it should be. They came out and said it was a leak in our lower unit, they replaced it since we purchased a higher grade unit with a 2 year warranty. Everything was good until the start up about a year and a half later. There is such a small leak that it takes over a year to leak out. They came back out again and Pete said he was going to charge me for labor since he shouldn't have to keep coming out. I explained that it hasn't been right since we bought the unit. They tested it again and said it was the lower unit again. Pete agreed to finally replace it after many battles. He said it was the last time he would fix it without getting paid. I always asked if it was the outside unit and was always told that it wasn't. Well I fire up the A/c again today and sure enough it doesn't blow really cold air. They never fixed the problem and don't stand behind their work. I would recommend looking at anyone else besides them at this point. read more
