Had no idea I liked triple cream sherry but a friend assured me to give it a try. So we embarked on an adventure and was not disappointed. The owners gave us full permission to wander the grounds and contemplate the universe, with a little sherry in hand. You can taste vintages from three years and the owners provide mini muffins, almonds and rice crackers for palate cleansers.

    2012 Triple Cream Sherry

A wonderful hidden gem in Rancho Cucamonga. This winery produces one wine, its award-winning triple cream sherry, and is only open one week in November every year. My wife and I are not sherry fans, but enjoyed our samples of Rancho de Philo's 2013, which was excellent, and the 2012, which was sublime. We bought a bottle of the 2012 for our New Year's Eve celebration, but we're considering a return trip ASAP since we probably won't be able to wait to open it up. Kudos to the friendly staff for making us and the other guests welcome. We chatted with owner Allen for a few minutes and he gave us some pairing suggestions (three words: vanilla ice cream) before regaling us with a few anecdotes about his wine. Highly recommended. They are open as of today (11/10/13), but will close for the week soon, depending on when they sell out of this year's batch of sherry.

Their Triple Cream Sherry is absolutely amazing! You pair this up with a chocolate soufle and its absolute to die for. I am in the restaurant business and not a single person who I have tasted this on has not liked it. If you are a wine drinker more specific red wine drinker than you know how well chocolate goes with red wine. A 10-20yr Tawny Port and chocolate is a relationship. This Triple Cream Sherry and chocolate is a marriage matched in heaven!! Can't wait for November! And you have got to educate yourself on the Solara System they use to produce and bottle their Triple Cream Sherry!! And if your a local, you will really appreciate the history of the winery and longtime relationship with the Galleano family, so much so, that the three friends, on the label of the award winning Galleano "Three Friends" Port, are family members.

Hi! Can someone give me an idea of the price range of the bottles of triple creme sherry? Thank you!

They sell full-size (750 ml) bottles for about $35.00 each. We were there last weekend and bought a 2019 and 2017. They also had a couple 1992 bottles for $125.00. My wife made the purchase for my birthday, but this is my best recollection of the… Read more

The venue itself has a small nook area to the side so it was used as a back drop for photos and cheki (polaroid taking), a check in area to meet the idols and pick up our DIY bouquets for the event), some cushioned chairs and tables to the side, and lots of circular tables and seating inside for the group to sit down and work on our bouquets. There's random wine themed decor throughout the venue and 2 TVs where one was just the random wallpaper generated and the second one being the offkai theme image. There was chill music being played through the venue but unsure if this was through the tech of the venue or the speakers that the even organizer brought with them. When they spoke on mics, it was easy to hear them no matter where people sat. There's a restroom in the back and if your event needs food or catering or is an actual wine themed event, there's a counter in the back. It was a slightly colder day, but temperatures were controlled inside. There wasn't an option to extend the time there even though the next event wasn't until several hours (like 5 I think), so we had to move our gathering next door.

Though we wished it was more crowded and poppin we made the best of it since the wine we had was really good. I tried the rose moscato that was absolutely amazing!!! The taste was very good. For my third glass I got the sparkling moscato and that was outstanding too!! The ambiance was perfect and set up cute! I'm sure if they had a dj on the weekends it would have been great!! The server Misty was very good, amicable, and very patient with telling us the menu options. It's really not many good options but you can order food from next door restaurant Cocina Serrano. Also, they have charcuterie board if that's what you like with your wine. I would try here again to support another woman black owned establishment. Come try here and the wine you won't be disappointed. They also have beer as well. -Marshay Dede

In 2017, the Mission Inn Wine Tasting Room was added to several quaint restaurants and shops that one may indulge in at the Mission Inn and Spa. It began when owners Duane and Kelly of the Mission Inn, purchased a vineyard in Ashland, Oregon (home of the Oregon Shakespheare Festival and a small college town that boasts a fine foodie scene in the Pacific Northwest). Why buy land in Oregon and not California? Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris is why! Of course, California has it's share of Pinot's, but they have a different terrior! I personally, would choose an Oregon Pinot over a California Pinot on most days! Sorry, California, I still love you for the things you can do that Oregon cannot! When we arrived for our one-stop, play-cation, stay-cation, we were pleased the new tasting room was open! We were warmly greeted by John our psuedo sommlier for the day! We received an intimate tasting for two and shared our love of work, travel and most of all things food and wine! An $11 per person tasting of the private estate, educated staff and intimate atmosphere, it's the perfect add on to a Mission Inn and Spa trip. #MissionInnWineTastingRoom #PinotPlaycation #OregoninCalifornia

It is in an old house right on the north side of Foothill Blvd or historic Rt 66 actually. Open only for dinner we got there at 7 pm and were seated in the dining area by the bar. It was dark and I just loved the beautiful and colorful lamps. Felt the old school vibe in the air. Atmosphere - 5 stars - nice and mellow. The room - really cool. The bar was happening and popping. Really fun group. We were in the dark and docile section and had to get the flashlights on our phones to check out the menu. The food - 5 stars- great Calamari. Awesome salmon ( charbroiled with really delicious sides- mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus). The other appetizer was the guac mash which was also really nice. Came with warm bread. Table next to us got really awesome looking steaks. Lobster looked yummy as well. The drinks - Marlene had a couple of Pineapple cosmos and she said they were strrrrrronggggg. The service - 5 stars plus - our waitress Eva was really great. Very attentive and talked to us for a bit not rushing us out at 9 pm. Bartender( lady) and Manager also were really cool. Dress code - I was in slacks and a collared shirt but the two gents by us were in gym attire. So casual on a Monday was ok. Parking - loads in a very big lot. It came to $80 per person plus tip so expect pricing and a tab in that range with drinks $16-18, appetizers also in that range and entrees $35-47. It was an interesting experience.

From the outside this restaurant is very inviting with its huge trees surrounding what seems to be a historic home. The inside can definitely use a rehab as carpet was old and frayed, walls dingy and with outdated decor. We ordered their filet mignon which was overcooked. It had a demiglaze which was good but there wasn't enough and I wished I had asked for more. It came with a side of mashed potatoes which was amazing as well perfectly cooked garlic string beans. They provide complementary sour dough bread which was warm and so delicious! Their dinner salad was a disappointment as it was limp, didnt seem fresh and was literally just lettuce and dressing. What they lacked in ambience they definitely made up for with their service. Staff were friendly and very accommodating and probably one of the best features of this restaurant. Would I return? For a club banquet yes, but for a nice dinner probably not. With their price point and inconsistencies with food- I would go elsewhere for a nice dinner.
