We gobbled some raspberries straightaway at a shaded picnic table and made jam with the rest. A special shoutout to Josh, whose smiling kindness, excellent knowledge, and extra-thoughtful offer to split a full slushie into two cups for the little ones in our group made the visit even better. The store is wonderful, too, with homemade jams, jellies, and canned fruits and vegetables, olive oils and vinegars ($8/tasting), rustic merchandise, and a backroom bar featuring homemade wines ($20/5-wine tasting or $12/glass). Kelly took care of my friend and I, as we decided to go to Claremont instead of braving the crowds at The Upland Lemon Festival this past Sunday. Kelly was an absolute ray of sunshine and took great care of us. We spent a good amount of the afternoon chilling on their patio sipping on Sangiovese, and snacking on the Corn & Tortilla Dip, as well as the Pork Belly appetizer. All were wonderful! I was finally able to figure out his last name. (It wasn't given out willingly and he made me guess after dropping a single hint). Will be on my way to collect my free bottle of wine for the month of June. Grafted Cellars is such a lovely place. I've met new friends as well as reunited with old ones. So glad I've found a place to be able to call "my hangout".

There was something going on that day when we walked in. They had the back area set up for a live bad and food. I don't know how often this happens, maybe during the weekend. So outside seating wasn't very tempting at the time. Inside, it's the winery which is pretty massive. Mainly their tasting room with the bar counter and loads of seating. Communal tables as well as group tables throughout the property. There's also a second floor which we didn't go up this time. Inside is also a showroom of artworks and trinkets. Different artists showcasing their work, handmade jewelry laid out through the whole place. Displayed items one after the other. This place was happening today with so many people popping in for some wine. I don't know if the event with the band happens often or just during the weekend but it was great. We ended up just staying inside as it was nice and cool. Picked up a bottle of the Tempranillo and made ourselves at home. The wine is quite tasty and nice. You can do a tasting which I believe is three samples. Or if you just wanted a glass that's also offered but we opted for a bottle. Snacks are also available for purchase if you would a charcuterie boards to accompany your tasting. It's very pet friendly as there were so many pups around. They too like to enjoy the party. For more than twelve years, our group has gathered at the Third Street Wine Shop every Wednesday…read morenight. We were first introduced to one another by the previous owners, Mary and Jim, during one of their events--little did we know those introductions would grow into lifelong friendships. Over the years, our Wednesday Wine Nights became a tradition we all cherished. When we learned that the shop was going up for sale, we were understandably nervous. We wondered what would happen if it didn't sell--where would we go? And if it did sell, what if the new owners changed the shop in ways we didn't love? What if we didn't connect with them the way we had with Mary and Jim, who had become family to us? Then it happened, the shop sold. We were introduced to Maria and Veronica, and it was truly love at first meeting. They are two of the kindest, most welcoming women, and they have brought fresh ideas and wonderful energy to the shop. Our Wednesday Wine Nights continue today, and we are grateful to have gained new friends in Maria, Veronica, and their families, who help run this warm, family-operated business. The Third Street Wine Shop remains a place where you are welcomed the moment you walk in--where the owners make you feel like you're their only guests. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a tasting, a glass, or a bottle of exceptional wine, paired with one of their beautiful charcuterie boards or other delicious snacks. While I was alone I didn't feel lonely as the staff was so friendly and continued to check on me. They got busy but still catered to me as I went through my wine tasting. I ordered a season tasting and it was a perfect tasting for a fresh winter night it was not too cold and not too hot just perfect Cali weather for an evening under a porch. I also ordered a mini charcuterie board for myself and it was so perfectly delicious. I never say perfect so many times in one review I wish I could give it more an extra star. The restaurant/wine club is very quaint and has lots of character. We were greeted by the host who immediately seated us in the club room. There is lots of seating indoors and outdoors. Our servers, Brandon and Sienna, were excellent. They were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. We started off with a couple of glasses of white wine, which were recommended by Sienna, and the Mezze Board, which was an excellent pairing of harissa hummus and honey lavender whipped feta, served with pita. This was so good, we actually ordered another one to take home. For our main course I ordered the ribeye steak and my wife ordered the tiger prawns. Both were incredible. Each dish was perfectly cooked, and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. We finished with a slice of basque cheesecake which was amazing.
