Jack really helped me out to clean up my Mac. I got some malware and wasn't able to get it off in-spite of numerous google searches and having a moderate level of IT experience. I had several fake flash programs removed and a browser redirect which didn't show up under the extensions of the Mac. Needless to say, was very happy my Mac computer is now clean and runs like now. Any thought I had of getting a new one is put aside for now. Thanks again. read more

Rancho computer manages the desktops, laptops, phone network, and software licenses for the office I work in (10+ work stations). They have always made sure a tech was available to us in a reasonable time frame to answer urgent trouble shooting issues and remote in. Anytime we've had to get a tech on site to fix real problems or add work stations they have had well managed reliable schedules. Jeff is the tech we deal with mostly. He is unbelievably dedicated to making sure all of our problems are fixed and is great at bringing the conversation down to your personal level of understanding to diagnose the problem, explain the issue, resolution, and best practices to avoid future issues. I Definitely recommend them for setting up and managing a networked business office. read more

We have used Rancho Computers for a few years. 10 days ago my office had a power outage and when the power surged back on, despite having surge protectors, our software was corrupted and even our fridge got fried. Jack at Rancho Computers worked incredibly hard and long hours to get things going by Monday morning. I have only good things to say about Rancho Computers. I truly feel like they have my back. read more

What great service these guys offer. They came to my house after a panic call from me on a Friday afternoon near the end of the day, picked up my laptop, took it away, fixed it and had it back to me the next day! Now that is superior service. Later when a motherboard went out on me, they handled everything for me and got me a brand new one from Dell for free, even though the computer was about 2 years old. So, I'm pretty darned happy with these folks! Give them a try and I bet you will be too! read more

I wanted to share with you the impressive job I believe Harry is doing. He is always quickly responsive, very efficient, and also mindful of costs, often checking with me first when he receives a request from someone on our side that he believes would be more cost efficient to resolve in house :) These comments are completely unsolicited by Harry, but sent because of (another) speedy resolution by him this afternoon to my remote access issue. Please share if you believe it is appropriate. read more

Posting this review on behalf of my boyfriend, who doesn't have the Yelp app: "Thanks go out to Steve Wagstaff for helping me out of a jam. I had dinged the corner of my laptop screen and needed to get it fixed in a hurry. Steve offered a quick solution by loaning me -- at no charge -- a monitor screen so that I could continue working while I waited for the repair, which turned out to be covered by the warranty. It's this kind of service you just don't see much of anymore...people helping people without expecting something in return. So I'm pleased to offer a recommendation of RCN in return for Steve's generosity. Please give him your business!" -- Lance Ward read more

These people KNOW computers. No question about it.

I cannot thank the team at Rancho Computer Networks enough for the amazing help they gave me! A few weeks before coming to San Diego for a vacation (normally working in Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer) I sent emails to a few computer repair places explaining the technical issues I was having, and asking for opinions/starting price points. Bill Durney got back to me within hours (despite it being a weekend), and he and the rest of the team gave me wonderful help and consistently friendly service. I came in with two "over the edge" computers- I suspected that one of the old laptops was beyond saving, so was looking for a new one for myself and hoping to repair one old one to donate to my work partners in Africa. Not only did RCN help me get an amazing price on a new laptop for myself, they worked to make sure I'd have TWO functioning laptops to donate back to my village and did all the repair work for the computers that will be donated for free! Everyone I encountered was friendly, understanding, fair, and efficient. I can't recommend them highly enough! This is a team of people who are honest, helpful, give back, and I'll keep going back to them for years to come! Thank you so much to everyone at Rancho Computer Networks! read more

Hands down one of the most professional group of IT individuals I have worked with. As a small business manager, we don't have the ability to have an IT person on staff. With Rancho Computers, it's like have that without the typical IT attitude:) Debbie is super kind on the phone and makes sure we get a call back right away. Bill is hands down the best. I would highly recommend Rancho Computer for your home and business needs. read more

First of all, we brought my computer here because of the great reviews, office seemed professional and it seemed trustworthy. When my husband brought it in he told the guy "it might be the power source because everything else is new" and the guy just shrugged it off like "yeah we'll be the judge of that". Well, we brought our computer on a Wednesday and were suppose to get a diag with in a day or two. Well, truth be told, it took till next Tuesday for it to be ready. In the meantime we were told the diag fee was only $50. Seems reasonable for trying to find out what's wrong with a "complex machine" (as the receptionist called it). But after two days the guy calls and tells my husband they can't figure it out and if we wanted to let them keep searching. Um... I'm pretty sure that's why we brought it and are paying a fee for.... but whatever... of course we want to get to the bottom of it! So they continued working on it. When they finally let us know it was ready the receptionist gave us a bill of 100. Wait. As far as I know the fee was 50? So I questioned it and the lady started getting short so I started getting short back. She finally called the guy who worked on the computer and explained that the call in the middle of the week meant that they were going to charge us more but we were never aware of it, I just thought it was a courtesy call letting us know it's taking a lot longer than it was suppose to. The guy then tells me that "the power source MIGHT be the issue". Um, excuse me? I'm paying $100 for not having my computer for a whole week and the issue not being resolved. My husband had the same guess and he didnt charge me! We argued a bit back and forth and the guy was like so... are we okay I'm the price? I asked "do I have a choice" and I knew by his face it was a no. Then he asks a third person "so what do you think?" The lady asks in response "Well, did you fix the problem" and his response was "no." And it got awkward so she just sat back down and said "I don't know then". All in all, we left, payed $100 for something they couldn't figure out. Once we got home they called us and said "after much thought we are refunding you $50 and we're sorry for all the misunderstanding " Fine, I guess. But after buying a new power supply that was $120, turns out the problem isn't fixed. My computer still goes into a white screen. Oh well. His "Its more than I guess, I'm like 99% sure it's that" was wrong. Lastyly, the receptionist seemed really short and rude, while the guy who worked in the computer kept his manner and not let his temper show (even though my temper came out). read more

I wanted to share the excellent job that Steve, Andy and Harry at Rancho Computer Network has done with my computer. I had the data transferred over from my old PC and they were able to transfer everything without any problems. The service was done quickly so I had very little time without my computer. I was able to find all my files without any difficulty. I later downloaded a virus on that same computer, which was completely my fault and not the smartest move. The tech team was able to debug it quickly and within the timeframe they promised. I need my computer for work and trust the guys at Rancho Computer Networks to get anything I need done in a timely and professional manner. I highly recommend them for all your computer needs. read more

Thank goodness for the miracles that Rancho Computers can perform. With a suddenly dead laptop, no back up and 5 years with of business files I was lost. Steve, Bill and Mona were not only reassuring but had all my data transferred to a new laptop in 24 hours. Right in the heart of Escondido, this will always be my go to place when computer issues haunt me. read more

I recently got my lap top back from Rancho computer networks and I just had to write a review about their level of professionalism. They were very thorough when it came to updating me with the progress they were making on the repair. Whether I was via email or by phone. They took the time to suggest what measures I need to take to optimize my lap top, which I found very helpful. Thy even provided me with an external drive which at first I didn't think I needed, but upon further analysis, I found to be most convenient for it even provided a cloud based saving option. Even though my lap top was there for a while they were certain to charge me for only the hours they invested in the repair. So if they were transferring my data to an external hard drive, I wasn't charged for unnecessary hours of work. These guys are very trustworthy and I would seek their expertise for any future computer repairs. They truly do put a personal touch back into personal computer repairs. Thank you for that. read more

I'm not sure why there are ALL 5 Star reviews....looks suspicious. I'm not sure about this place. We just took our laptop in to figure out why it doesn't start and the guy said it was coffee spilt on the system. No one in the house spilt coffee. And when we went to go pick it up Sean was going to keep our computer cause it was "junk" and still have us pay the $100 diagnostic fee. I get the fee cause no one looks at it for free but the whole coffee thing doesn't add up and to assume we didn't want our stuff backs looks suspicious. We are going to get a second opinion because I don't know what to think about this place. Anybody else have this problem? Update: They have responded to this review and have taking care of us. We may have just caught them when they were really busy. Good follow up. read more

I am currently working on a family genealogy book and nearing the final stages was really anxious to get started last Friday morning. I turned on my computer first thing and it kept shutting itself off. I was sure it couldn't be because it was overheating as the vents are always clean. I use a can of electronic duster almost weekly...thanks to past lessons learned! So for pretty much the rest of the day I tried everything, plugging, unplugging, recleaning, deleting useless files, you name it and all the while getting more and more frustrated...we all know that "what's wrong with my computer trauma", it's almost worse than losing your purse! By the afternoon, I was beyond frustrated and I'd had enough so started calling computer repair shops in my area...no one was picking up even though it was still during business hours, but it was Friday afternoon too. After five calls to no avail, I received a call back from Bridget at Rancho Computer! She was super nice and very professional as I told her what was happening, even though it was Friday afternoon she did her best and squeezed me in to come by at least for a computer diagnosis. I was there just about five minutes, when Steve Wagstaff came out and took my computer to see if he could find the problem. About a minute later he came back and told me the reason it was shutting down is because my computer was dirty...I was mortified....."BUT BUT, I CLEAN IT ONCE A WEEK" after I explained my cleaning skills, apparently there's not only a vent over the fan...but there's also exhaust vents....WHO KNEW?? Apparently not I....yikes!! Steve went above and beyond, he actually went back, cleaned it right then and there and refused to charge me. We all know what it's like on a Friday afternoon and you're trying to get the last of your work done, the fact that he took the time, the fact that Bridget took the time to call me back speaks volumes about Rancho Computer! That's what customer service should be like everywhere. Thank you Bridget and Steve...you saved my computer and saved me from having a meltdown!! Rancho Computer has my highest recommendation to anyone who needs computer service! read more

I have used Rancho Computer Networks twice now within the last two years to help me with my Dell laptop. They are very professional and very reasonable in their time charges. My laptop finally broke down for good this last time, and I turned over the whole buying, transferring data, and buying a new laptop and printer over to them. They were very good in selecting a new laptop and printer to fit my small needs of keeping in touch with friends and browsing the Internet. They delivered and set the units up with no fuss at all. Great Job!!! I think they are just the best and I am very happy and pleased with their service. Note they do also make house calls at a very reasonable rate. read more

They are so great. We have had other companies out to our business to do maintenance on our machines, but none as friendly and knowledgable as Bill. He came out the same day and got our network back up and running. He also suggested much needed upgrades for our small outdated office, which, when the time comes we will definitely go with Rancho! The service was very quick, efficient, simplified, and as friendly as they come. read more
