Dr. Massoudi had an advertisement in Facebook for a free consultation, and so I went to his office. He said that I had discolored veins on both my legs. We agreed that he would treat my right leg below my knee with the injections. I told him that if it worked, I might ask for treatment on the other discolored areas. He said that he would charge me between $300 and $400 for my right leg, below the knee, and that the course of injections would require three visits, after which the discoloration would disappear. I agreed, and the Doctor gave me two injections, and told me to come again next month. His assistant bandaged my leg, and told me to wear compression stockings.
I went to the front desk to set my next appointment for Nov 11, 2017. The assistant at the front desk asked for payment of $400. I gave her my Citi Bank card, but the charge was denied. I asked her to try again, as I had been at Costco just before and used it there. The assistant asked me why don't I pay in cash. I was surprised that she was asking for cash. Instead, I called Citibank on speakerphone, and they told me that the charge would go through. I asked the assistant to try the card again. The assistant told me she would try it again on a different machine, and the payment went through.
Before he left, Dr Massoudi had asked me if I had PPO Insurance. I asked him why. He said we can put it on your insurance. I said no, as I have insurance through an HMO. I came home, and wore the compression stockings every day.
On Nov 11 I went to his office for my next appointment. The receptionist asked me if I had come for a follow up appointment. I said no, I had come for another injection. She said I would have to pay again. I said that I had paid already for the entire course of treatment.
The receptionist said I would not see Dr Massoudi until I signed on the computer. I said that I wasn't going to sign anything, and that I wanted to see Dr Massoudi. The receptionist said that if I didn't sign, I couldn't see Dr Massoudi. I told the receptionist that I wasn't working that day, and that I would sit all day in the office, until Dr. Massoudi saw me.
After about five minutes, a nurse asked me to come back to an exam room. Dr Massoudi walked in, and asked what was happening. I told him that the front desk wanted me to pay for each visit, which was different than what you had told me. Dr Massoudi denied he said he would inject each visit because each injection costs $100.
I said that I'm just a regular customer and don't know anything, and that I'm just repeating what you had told me during the first visit. He denied what he had said during the first visit, told his assistant to put the needle in my veins, and walked out. The assistant put the needle in my veins and pressed with her two fingers and blood came out. The assistant bandaged my leg, and told me to wear the compression stocking.
I went to the front desk for the next appointment, and she refused to give me one, and said that Dr Massoudi would call me. Till Today, the Doctor has not called me. The color is just lighter, but nothing changed otherwise. read more
