    Ground beef Taco Salad
    Shelby F.

My husband and I had a fantastic experience at Ramirez Mexican Restaurant! He ordered the deluxe rice bowl and I had the taco salad--both were absolutely delicious, fresh, and generously portioned. The service was just as impressive as the food. Our waitress, Carmen, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. She really made our visit feel welcoming and enjoyable. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place!

Taco Salad - (hold that sweet dressing was not a fan of it!!)

HAPPY CINCO DE' MAGNIFICO!! Speedy Service, Accurate Order & man, that SALSA ... just enough spice and oh so much flavor!!! I could not stop eating the salsa and chips! Then I asked for a little queso blanco on the side of my salad and oh yes.... It did not disappoint! Take a listen to these crispy chips!! Ummm ummm!! Stop by and bring a friend or the fam!! The ambience was FUN & FESTIVE today for sure, can't say for other days, but this is a must have, anytime you are passing through Shreveport!

Beef Chimichanga, rice and beans with a salad.

The food was delicious, maybe less salt in the ground beef in the chimichanga. Service was good, they got a little busy, it was 5pm. It was a typical atmosphere in there .

Visited while taking our daughter to move into college. Staff was attentive. We were seated right away and service was good during entire visit. Small area but was not crowded. Load music and a few TVs. I ordered the crazy rice. It was mentioned in several reviews. It was good but needed salt. I had lots of leftovers so for me was enough for two meals. My husband had the rib eye fajitas. He enjoyed but mentioned they could be seasoned better. My daughter enjoyed tacos Al carbon. Chips and salsa were tasty. We also order guacamole. It was okay but needed seasoned better as well. Overall the food and service were good and we would visit again if in the area.

Got the Crazy Rice Deluxe and it was very good...thanks fellow Yelpers. The bacon gives it an interesting spin. Next time, I'll add refried beans n jalapeños. They included chips n salsa which were both delicious!!

FRESH guac and pork carnitas in back.

Really excellent Mexican food. Fresh guacamole, fresh chips, and salsa tastes like it was just made. A delicious Carnitas pork came perfectly cut and served with tortillas in generous portions. The beans and rice were up to the task, not bland or dry. The chicken with mushroom comes under a cream cheese sauce that's not too overbearing or too heavy something (but don't consider it "light" by any stretch). This dish was what your grandmother would fix if she was Mexican but learned to cook in the Southern US. Located in a district of giants strip malls including a converted box store that's now a kind of depressing Self Storage, Ramirez notwithstanding all that has bright and colorful interior decor with Mexican music playing. Overall it's a very lively atmosphere once you go inside, so don't let the exterior Interstate Exit aesthetic chase you away. Just west of Shreveport, this makes a nice stop if you're traveling between Dallas and points east.

My first visit here. The wait staff is excellent. They make you feel very comfortable and they are very friendly and always available. They refill your drink without you asking. The chips are thin, warm and delicious. The salsa has good flavor. It is not spicy. It is heavy on the cilantro. The taco is amazing. The enchilada is delicious. The beans were okay. I need more seasoning in mind. They were bland to me. I will be back.

Liquor license ? Waiting to come drink and eat. And have fabulous margaritas

Checked on it today with our lawyer. All she could tell me was it was in the final stage and could be any day now!

    Liquor license yet?

Not yet. They said they should have it next week when we asked Monday!

El Cabo Verde exemplifies fresh. It's in a new development that's attractive, clean, and well…read moredesigned. And that's before you even walk in the front door or take a seat out side. The fresh theme continues with the chips and salsa. All of it's made in house, and these were some of the best chips and salsa I've had in a while. The chips are a light and thin and a little bit tricky to dip without breaking. Two sauces, green and red, are provided and each tastes--not to belabor the term-- fresh. The chile relleno is served on its own in a soup bowl with a light sauce and choice of protein on the outside. The poblano pepper itself is stuffed with cheese, as is proper for chile relleno. Again the sauce, the chili itself, and all the ingredients tasted fresh and light. Unlike most Mexican places, rice and beans is brought on a separate plate and not merged with whatever primary entree you've selected. Here again, fresh: there is rice that's almost like a basmati, and refried black beans that are refreshing change from the typical pinto bean base. Service is prompt, knowledgeable and attentive. I had the pleasure of having Angelo for my waiter. The restaurant staff is predominantly Hispanic, the kind of folks ICE likes to round up. (I really hope this reference become dated real fast). The point is these folks are familiar with Mexican food beyond just the concept of this restaurant. The clientele appears to be primarily local and a steady stream of them were coming through at 3:00 on a Sunday afternoon. Access is convenient from i-49 and not too far from I-20.

Then another lady came and the cashier told her in Spanish what I ordered. The lady turned to me and asked beef, then I said no chicken and I said pollo. She said ok. I get my order and left without checking the bag, they had it tied up and I figured it would be right. When I got home realized it was beef. I called the # on receipt & a guy answered & just said hello. I asked is this the restaurant and he said yes. I told him what happened and he offered to remake it. It had already started drizzling outside but I still was going to go pick it up. Then 5min later the weather had gotten real bad. I call the guy back & told I will not be able to come because the weather was too bad unless they were going to deliver it. I asked can he just put my name down for later that day or another day to get order redone. He said they already remade it, I told him I'm not taking a risk and driving out in this weather for food. He just kept saying we already made it and his worker told him I said beef. I told him that was a lie and he could either put me down for a remake on a later date or refund me. He just repeated again it was already made and hung up in my face. The person that speaks poor English shouldn't be the person that take orders. So unprofessional how this was handled. I paid with my card & gave a tip on a to go order. But since they want to be rude & not resolve the issue they just might loose money on false orders in near future, lol. I can be rude too. I blocked the charge.
