Read the reviews and thought great, let's check it out. Got seated and was the only customer in the joint. Place was clean and waiter was quick to get drinks and salsa with a glass of water. He took my order for combo fajitas and about 5 minutes later I had my food. Food had good portions and tasted alright but the meat was a little dry and chewy. My main issue is that I sat there for 45min waiting for someone to get me more water, check on me, bring ticket, order desert!!! Finally two new customers come in and I'm thinking surely they will come check on me now. Nope, 30 more minutes and finally the guy checks on me. By this point I dont want any desert. Went to amigos #2 in Waskom and it was the worse ever, the cheese dip was like water down no taste at all, I ordered a chimichangas and it was a rolled up tortilla with a tsp. Of meat AWFUL. SAVE YOUR MONEY.... THEY NEED A MINUS 5 STAR read more

Stopped on our way home from weekend road trip. Thought the food would be like fast food. Was pleasantly surprised that it was authentic Mexican food. I really enjoyed the cheese enchiladas and tacos. Waitress was awesome she took care of us even got us to go cups for drinks. If I'm ever out that way again it'll be on my bucket list read more

We stopped at this little gem of a restaurant and it was awesome! We saw it on Yelp with 4stars. Right off the interstate small attached to a small casino. Very nice greeter/waiter got us drinks and chips and salsa. My husband got the Amigo dinner with fajita beef and fresh homemade corn tortillas. I got the grilled tilapia fish tacos w/ beans and rice. Both were delicious ! And the Spanish rice was great as well . Even the tea was good! One cook kitchen, she was great. And the service was good as well. Highly recommend this place. read more

What a great little gem! Right off the interstate, wonderful family owned little restaurant and the best stuffed pablano pepper I have ever had! Don't let the location sway you. There were eight of us and we are all so glad we stopped in. Every meal was fantastic. We will try to make it for lunch on the way back from our trip. read more

As promised, I returned to this restaurant with an open mind this time in order to leave another review. The decor is very inviting, the restaurant is clean, and again, the waiter gives you the perfect friendly attention. I still wasn't wowed and amazed me by the food. Not to sound like a horrible reviewer, but it seems like a run of the mill Mexican restaurant, very cookie cutter. Same chips, same bland rice, same refried beans, however the queso is delightfully different! It's not just a block of cheese that's heated up in a bowl; it's a cheese sauce with small bits of peppers/salsa in it. For a normal, middle-of-the-road Mexican restaurant, it gets a normal, middle-of-the-road rating from me. read more

The first time we ordered the chicken quesadillas and they were pretty good. The next time I went I ordered the chili cheese enchiladas and I thought there could have been more sauce but they tasted pretty good. I would go back again. read more
