It was storming pretty bad the night we came and luckily we got a table from walking in. We shared the cream cheese wontons and age tofu starters. The wontons were really good and the tofu came with a good sauce. I got the kimchi spicy ramen for my main. We tried out the Ramen Station last week and everyone loved it! I did take out of the Ramen and Hibachi. Extremely generous portion sizes! My Hibachi was so large that I was easily able to make it into 2 meals. My mom and daughter both ordered Ramen and they modified their choices. Our order was perfect. It was hot, all the modifications were done correctly and it tasted great! We liked it so much we went back for a 2nd order a few days later. This time I tried the spring rolls and cream cheese puffs too. They were delicious! Crispy and full of flavor. The soup was perfect again too. The Ramen Station is fairly priced, had great food that is consistent each time we order and the staff is wonderful. read more

In the eastern suburbs of the TC, when needing a Ramen fix, stop by here. I got the champon ramen, earthy and rich pork bone broth, with pork (braised) slices, fish cake and all the other wanting and fixings of ramen. The broth actually had the smell and umami of a rich bone broth. Delish. I also got the agedashi tofu and it did not disappoint. Kimchi ramen: was probably the worst ramen broth I've ever had. It had no flavor at all. I rather eat shin instant ramen than this ramen again. The chicken udon was good. It was savoy. We also got gyoza for an appetizer and that was good as well. Overall, pretty decent. Their menu had a good amount of food on there so if people want to come here they can get something more than ramen. Service was great. They were very attentive and fast. The level of disappointment that my son and I experienced here is sad. From the moment we walked in. The hostess/waitress was unfriendly. Nothing worst than to feel rushed when you come into a restaurant to have a nice meal. She brings out the appetizer and no silverware, napkins, or plates to share. When you do finally get her attention to bring you these items, she reaches over my child's head to hand them over to me. #Rude. Next let's talk about the main dish. YUCK! The rice seemed out of a box, cheap and old. The miso soup, I'm sure they use the Woodbury tap water. Just nasty! The shrimp wasn't cooked and did I mention, the food was cold. We ate maybe 30% of our food. This is what $50 dollars gets you... I doubt this place will stay open for much longer. Lastly we were the only ones there. read more

Solid three stars. I had the chicken ramen with a side of vegetable spring rolls. The spring rolls were delicious and freshly made to order. The ramen was ok. The broth didn't have the depth of flavor that I have had at other ramen places. The chicken was a little over cooked so it was chewy. The eggs were a little over cooked too. But not bad. The reviews have built this place up in my mind and the anticipation I even put on it, after my constant delay of checking it out myself. Sadly, it didn't live up to expectations. The meal was okay. But somewhat bland. After I ate the vegetables and ate some of the Ramen Noodles I was over it. Yes, you get a lot for the price and you could probably make 2 meals out of just this one. But I didn't want to finish it. Maybe if I ate Fowl or Beast I'd try one of the other options. However I don't, so I guess disappointment is where I will end with this place. Inside it is very small, but very pretty. You can tell they know how to make the most of their space. The service was fast as well. I placed my order and within less than 10 minutes it was ready to go. Overall, I may not come back. However, I bet others would enjoy it. While the ambiance is nothing to write home about, we've always had great service here and most importantly, fantastic ramen. I recommend the kimchi ramen but I've tried several and don't think you can go wrong. Bonus points for having smaller offerings for the kids, though mine love ramen and just get the big ones. We met our family at Ramen Station for lunch today. It is a nice smaller place that have ramen and other noodle dishes. We tried some of their appetizers that were pretty good. I really enjoyed their sweet sour sauce we had with the cream cheese wontons. We all had something different for an entree. I had chicken Yakisoba it was pretty tasty. Everyone enjoyed their dish. The restaurant is the perfect small size. This way the chef is able to make each dish fresh and perfect. We didn't have to wait at all for our drink and the appetizer came quickly with enough time to enjoy it before the main dish arrived. The broth was thick and delicious while the meat was slightly charred on the edges while the rest was soft. I wouldn't have thought spinach would be good in ramen but it added a nice texture. Wow we four our favorite spot in Woodbury! For such a big and prosperous town, there are way too many 2 and 3 Star places. It was a nice surprise to see a 4 Star Japanese place here off Radio Dr, so we had to check it out! It's just non-descript store front in one of a hundred strip malls in Woodbury. The inside build out is simple yet classy, not over the top, with contemporary Japanese art on the walls. It feels like a stepped up Japanese deli. As I was explaining to my son, my God-brother, when he was the executive Chef of Unideli, spent 16 hours on the tonkotsu broth. My local favorite is Zen Box Izakaya on Washington (sorry bro!), and I've had it at Morimoto Manhattan (Iron Chef's restaurant.) Needless to say I'm kinda into Tonkotsu. It's my fav ramen. And I have never paid less than $13 for Tonkotsu in Mpls. It's usually around $15. So Ramen Station has Tonkotsu for $10.75. I had to do it! We also got the fried teriyaki tofu dinner bento box. The food was great! What most people don't realize is that Tonkotsu is not supposed to be very salty. I think that's what all the bad reviews were about. All the parts of the Ramen were on point: well executed deep bodied broth, delicious charsiu (roasted pork belly), decadent tea egg with perfect yoke. The only goody thing was the tiny ceremonial piece of nori (seaweed) that looked pretty sorry on the side. Lol. Such a minor thing I had to mention it just to be picky b/c I couldn't find anything else wrong rofl. The bento box was so good! The fried tofu was perfectly done, not dried or too doughy, drizzled in a ginger teriyaki sauce. It was served with an egg roll, shumai dumplings, white rice, and miso soup. What a deal at $9.75! Service was swift and what you expected. There was a Friendly girl in front. Next time you go to Woodbury, drive pass all the chain restaurants and head straight to Ramen Station! :) read more

I prefer the Shrimp Hibachi or the soba noodles are good if you like those types of noodles. I loved the bento box but they only served that when you dine in. Good food for the price. I had gyoza, tonkatsu ramen and green tea. The green tea was Lipton and not one of many Japanese brands that are available. The gyoza came out of the kitchen amazingly fast. I have to wonder if I got someone else's order since the restaurant seems to do more takeout business than dine-in. I was the only person during lunch. Gyoza tasted okay. Nothing memorable. The same can be said for the ramen. The basic ingredients were there but the broth wasn't rich loaded and with flavor. Tasted almost like a packaged broth. One surprise was no ability to add other ingredients in order to customize the ramen. Even the Icchido and Ishita restaurants let you do that. I think this is part of a chain of similarly named ramen restaurants. I don't know if I will return now that Zen Box Izakaya has reopened indoor dining. read more

Sooooo consistently good, I mean excellent. The beef Soba is to die for. I have been there numerous times, an it is consistently hot, fresh and the beef is so tender and perfectly cooked it defies explanation. I was initially hesitant about going there the first time because my 11 year old daughter picked it and she likes the cheap store ramen. So.... I expected crummy fast food Ramen or a Panda Express train wreck. But not even close, It is a well run, well managed Japanese restaurant. Everything I have had there has been top notch, and it is hands down one of my absolute favorite places to go. If you want freshly made to order, expertly cooked and prepared Japanese noodles, this is the place for you. It goes without saying the spring rolls, miso soup and everything else is excellent too. Like spring rolls that crack apart they are so fresh? Check. No soggy greasy food here. I would be remiss if I didn't mention portion size and quality, perfect, and the amount of meat is incredible. There aren't just a few bits. Beef or chicken the portions of meat are generous and rare compared to a lot of places. Think, whole steak or giant slab of chicken with your noodles. I came here with my daughter and her friends for the first time. The place is small and would not be good for a big group. Luckily there was only five of us. We were seated quickly and was able to order soon after. I enjoyed my ramen soup. I found out the noodles are delivered fresh to the restaurant from a company. It is definitely better than your regular dry packaged ramen from the store. The soft boiled egg tasted delicious. I noticed the Narutomaki (Japanese fish cake) pieces were uneven. I would not order the tea next time since it is just the tea bag you can get from the store. They do refill it with hot water if you need more. My daughter didn't like her ramen and commented it was too salty for her taste. One of her friends really enjoyed it and went back another day with her mom. read more

Really enjoyed finding this place while on our way back to the Twin Cities from Wisconsin. Small menu, but they do it well. They also offer a separate children menu (look for it on the wall). We has the shrimp tempura as a starter. They also had a special that day of avocado tempura. This was AWESOME! We would recommend ordering that if they run it again while you are there. Both my wife and I ordered the ramen. Mine with the ground pork l, hers with the sliced pork. Both were wonderful (but I think mine was better. My son had veggie udon. I brought my nieces here for lunch on President's Day and we went around 11:30 and were the first to be seated. Ordered some apps - Gyoza and octopus balls that were a little greasy. We all had ramen for lunch - seafood, tantan (had a nice spice) and tonkotsu. My niece just got back from Japan and I could tell she wasn't impressed which wasn't surprising since this is a Chinese ramen place. The restaurant has a focused menu with a handful of soba and ramen offerings each. There's also a respectable selection of appetizers and dessert. Everything has a fair price point. This is my first time trying ramen (other than the stuff you make at home for 30 cents!) My husband ordered the spring rolls and the beef udon. I ordered the seafood ramen. I was not a huge fan of the spring rolls. I was surprised to find cream cheese in them. I love cream cheese wontons but something about this just didn't jive with me. They weren't bad but I would definitely never order them. My husband really enjoyed his beef udon. I didn't try it but he was very happy. Now onto my ramen since that's what we are here for, right? The broth is fantastic! It has a slight egg flavor to it which I found very surprising yet appealing. There are a couple of nice large shrimp in the dish. Very well cooked and overall just yummy. The noodles had a very nice texture and I really enjoyed them. The one thing I didn't care for was the fish cakes that come in the ramen. The taste is good but for me I was not a fan of the texture. I just ate around this so it wasn't a big deal. I think that is just a personal weirdness on the texture of things!
