Ramen O Bowl is one of those rare spots that makes you feel good about everything -- the food, the people, the impact. It's a small, friendly place with generous servings that are packed with protein and fresh delicious veggies. Their tofu is incredibly tasty. The glass noodles made from sweet potato are a gluten-free and healthy option. Nothing feels processed. They also run a bakery. They had a promotion for a free drink with a ramen or rice bowl purchase, so it was the perfect time to try it out. Walking in, the interior was nice, bright, and clean. I dug the skylight as well. You can order in a few different ways: via a QR code at your table, at one of the machines at the counter, or in-person. The staff was super nice. They did bring the wrong dish to me, but were quick to correct it. I ordered the shoyu ramen and liked the noodles and all of the different things that came with it. Although I'm not a coffee person, the Thai iced coffee was good and something that I'd get again. It hit the spot of not being too sweet or bitter for me. While I'm curious about the other items on the menu, it might take some time for me to get a craving for Ramen O Bowl again. Ramen O' Bowl is finally open. They should have soft opening hours beginning around 7/5 or 7/6. We tried out many of the noodle items on the menu and numerous smoothies plus the green Thai tea. Our favorite noodle dishes were the Schacha ramen soup and the Tahini cold noodles. We also tried many of the spicy ramen soup and cold noodle dishes as well, I liked the Korean cold noodle the best from those, but I will say I don't generally love spicy food. We didn't try any of the dessert or sushi bowls since we've had them all many times at their prior restaurant (Bayberry) and wanted to focus on trying the new items, but I will say their vegan desserts are delicious, the tiramisu is one of my favorites and the sushi bowls are yummy too and use a black forbidden rice mixture. Ruby, the owner, makes her own vegan noodles for the soups and came up with all of the recipes. Please note that the restaurant uses both fresh peanuts and peanut butter in many recipes, so if you are allergic to nuts, please take this in to consideration. I got noodles my friend got a bowl yet hers was loaded w/ veggies & mine was not. It was so lacking veggies it was sad considering what you're paying. Ruby the proprietor of this restaurant was open for a special Xmas buffet. She featured some of her favorite recipes. Everything was super tasty with a special shout out to the fresh cucumber avocado and sweet potato sushi rolls, the stir fry vegetable ramen with home made brown noodles and the mango curry - a perfect combination of sweet and spicy. Found this little gem while visiting the Harvard Natural History Museum. It's always nice to find a vegan place where you can order anything without worrying about dairy. Couldn't turn down an opportunity for all-you-can-eat dumplings, so went to Ramen O Bowl's Christmas buffet--delicious spring rolls, deep fried pseudo pork dumplings and steamed mini fake cha shu bao. A couple of seitan stews, one with mango and one with veggies and noodles--these were tasty but would have been better with a livelier spicier stir fry--both had a uniform stewy steamy boiled texture. Delicious pumpkin cake, and they had extra, so sent us home with Christmas boxes of them. A couple of soups I didn't try. Generous welcoming atmosphere easily sparked conversations between strangers at long crowded tables. It was a little awkward getting to the food down a narrow cramped aisle--probably a fire hazard. Great new veg ramen/noodle place in Cambridge. First visit, I tried the smoked seitan bowl and it was delicious, very well balanced. Not a ton of any one thing just the right amount to make all the flavors work. Sometimes seaweed salad can sort of dominate dishes for me, but that didn't happen here. The Wasabi Mayo was a great sauce option, still mild but with a tiny aftertaste/kick of wasabi. Second visit (via delivery) I tried the Sesame Tahini Bowl and it was also excellent - again quite mild but tasty, with the crunchy chickpeas giving nice texture to it. I wasn't sure how moreish a totally cold bowl of noodles would be, but the answer is - VERY. Looking forward to trying one of the spicy options next time, or a hot ramen bowl. I also tried the Tropical Burst Smoothie, which was great. No complaints, tasted just like you'd expect that combo of fruit and other ingredients to taste like. Not lumpy or anything. The one suggestion I have would be for them to allow additions to the bowl for an extra fee. At the very least, having an "extra protein" option for a few bucks more. The way they serve the bowls is definitely balanced, they're not really skimping on the seitan/tofu. But, for those of us who would prefer to go a bit heavier with it, this option would be great (and mean more money for them, so win-win. ) Looking forward to trying the deserts as well, they sound delicious! read more

I haven't been in person yet, just takeout, and I've gotten the same order repeatedly - Malaysian curry with sweet potato noodles, Caesar salad, and the tofu nuggets. On some dishes they allow substitutions - the sweet potato noodles are gluten-free. The Caesar salad is also so delicious, the food in general tastes very fresh. Very subpar in the Cambridge area. Has a cafeteria feel and the food is from packaged items, not home made. The tofu on the ramen broth was seasoned. The broth was like the kind you make at home with powder and hot water. The edaname was like the kind from a freezer. The bamboo shoots tasted like out of a can.
