We came here for dinner for the vegetarian ramen. We got seated right away. The place was pretty empty. One person sitting at a table waiting for a take out order and a family of four at another table. There were stacks of boxes in the corner at the back of the restaurant. It's really not a good look and not that inviting to come sit and dine at the restaurant. Plus it was really cold in there. We both ordered the 2 vegetarian ramen on their menu. Our food came out pretty quickly. The ramen was just ok, average at the most. I wish they would put more effort into making it tasty. I love miso soup base and wished they had that option for vegetarian ramen. The soy sauce based soup was just ok, not a whole lot of flavor though. You can barely taste the yuzu. I wish there were better vegetarian ramen options in Alameda. I was hoping this was it. Service wasn't so great. We finished our meal and no one checked in on us the whole time we were there. We finally couldn't wait any longer and got up to the counter to pay but no one was there to check us out. The 2 guys there were both in the back for a long time. They didn't notice us waiting until someone came in. Don't think we'll be coming back.
I had the yuzu ramen which was amazingly flavored with the perfect amount of yuzu . I remember when I was younger I loved eating maruchan with lime . But this is the is way better version without the chemicals and processed . The noodles were fresh tasting and their pork had a great amazing flavor .the egg was cooked to perfection . We will definitely come back again . The service was friendly I would say it was a little loud but it's the weekend so it's to be expected
The Yuzu Ramen was a wonderful take on a classic Shoyu, but with a touch of citrus and a little bit of spice.
Ordered Ramen Hiroshi for the very first time for delivery. I will most certainly make an effort to come in because I'm sure this is 1000x better for dine-in. That said, even the take out was comforting and delicious. I do wish I had more broth (take out was given about 1/3 of a container). I look forward to trying again.
Nice to have a ramen option in Alameda. Came at lunchtime on a Monday (yes, some place open on Monday!). The Shoyu ramen didn't disappoint. A hearty bowl with two pieces of pork chasiu, bamboo shoots, nori, egg, fish cakes, lotus roots and a nice serving of ramen in the light soy sauce broth. Good comfort food dish.
The ramen here was quite good. The noodles were perfectly cooked and just the right texture. The service was a little slow but I think there was only one guy working. Inside was nice and comfortable.
The weather keeps giving ramen vibes and I enjoy a good ramen. This place is okay. The menu is somewhat small but it does execute if one wants ramen. Ordered the Hiroshi Tonkotsu Ramen and the Tonkotsu Shoyu ramen. I shared Takoyaki and it was pretty good. High quality and very flavourful as it should be. Thera plenty of vegetarian option. Ramen took a while even though the place had low patronage. Presentation is great. Both broths were okay. I feel that it was very flat and not much stood out. It tasted a bit watery to my taste. Noodles were good and had good consistency. No waiter service. We asked for water and it seemed off to ask and we had no one refill our water. 20, 21, 51A, O AC Transit buses all go through here.
First time here, just happened upon it looking for a bagel shop. Small and quaint but tables were filthy. We wiped ours down and the wet wipe turned up black. Very slow service. Ramen was bowl of flavorless noodles. On a good note Chicken wings were awesome and the Service was friendly. Expensive compared to other ramen places. Bathroom was not clean. Won't be returning.
I've eaten here a couple of times and this place is consistently good. When you want a classic ramen that has all the fix-ins, a clean broth, and good proteins - this is your place. It's a chill restaurant and they have a nice variety of starters. The ramen here isn't special or outstanding, but it's good classic comfort food. They have seating outside and the prices are what you'd expect for ramen out here in the Bay Area/Alameda area. Come here if you just want a hot, steaming, classic bowl of ramen.
Ramen Hiroshi is a little place located on Park St. I was able to easily find parking in the neighborhood around noon on a Sunday. I walked in and was greeted right away and was told to sit wherever I liked. I came here with my little brother so of course I had to get some little appetizers for him. I ordered the chicken karaage, deep fried gyoza, and salt and pepper wings for him. The karaage and gyoza came out first. The karaage was a bit plain but the sauce made up for it. My little brother said he liked the sauce because the flavoring wasn't too strong for him. I enjoyed the gyoza, that thang was hot throughout my meal. The chicken wings didn't come out until the end. I think I'm a bit disappointed in the portion sizes for both the karaage and wings, I was expecting a bit more. I ordered the house ramen and found it to be a bit bland for my liking but their braised pork belly made up for it. It was a bit fatty for me but I still enjoyed it. Here's a breakdown of how much I spent on each item Chicken karaage - $10 Deep fried gyoza - $10 Salt and pepper chicken wings - $9 Hiroshi Tonkatsu - $16
Food: 8/10 Service: 10/10 Portion size: medium Wait time: 7 minutes for food to come out Came here for lunch for the first time. It was nice and warm out but was feeling some ramen. I got the shio Ramen and hubby got the tantanmen Ramen. Both Ramen dishes were good. The tantanmen has more flavor in the broth but if you're like me and want something mellow for the stomach the Shio Ramen is your pick. It's more of a clear broth vs. A creamy broth. The eggs were cooked to perfection, both came with veggies and noodles were fresh and bouncy! The pork slices in the Ramen did have good flavor but they weren't as tender. They were thicker and a bit chewy but like I said the flavor was good. I gave a 10 for service because I had no idea they closed in the middle of the day at 2:30pm and I got there at 2:10pm and they still sat us and were super nice. When I found out I apologized but they were so nice about it! They have both indoor and outdoor seating so take advantage on a nice day out!
Just another ramen spot to me. My broth was a little bit bland and everything else unremarkable but ramen and noodle soup is my weakness so it was still comforting. Parking can get a bit rough so we had to go into the neighborhood behind to finally get a spot. Food: 5/10 Vibes: 5/10 Service: 5/10 Value: 4/10
Unfortunately, the best part of the review is the staff! They were so sweet and welcoming. The place always seems to be a bit empty and was pretty dark inside. We ordered the Chicken Miso Ramen to-go. The containers they pack them in came in handy. The flavor and texture, just wasn't there for me (but my boyfriend said it was decent and did what it needed to do) especially for the price. You can easily walk 5 doors down and get amazing quality from YoJimbo. As we love giving new businesses a try, we will give this place another try when we can eat it at the restaurant.

1241 Park St Alameda, CA 94501 I had a craving for a nice bowl of ramen on a cool Sunday morning. I saw that Ramen Hiroshi just opened at 11:30am, so I went in to try their food. The young man offered me a table and gave me a menu. I asked for iced tea. He offered me a bottle of green tea and a tall cup of ice. Okay, that's fine. It's 11:45am, and I'm the only customer there. I ordered: Cha-Shu (pork belly), Chicken Wings, and Hiroshi Tonkotsu. In general, the food is good. The presentation is nice and thoughtful. The Cha-Shu was tender and juicy. The Hiroshi Tonkotsu was loaded with noodles. The broth was a little salty. The Chicken Wings were okay, I guess. That's because it took nearly 30-mins to serve them. And that's the issue I had with this restaurant.....service time. I've been to several ramen and noodle places recently, and nobody takes 25 mins to serve a bowl of ramen. It's okay, there's other noodle places in Alameda. read more

I didn't see anything vegetarian on their online takeout menu, so I called to ask and was suggested either Shouyu or Yuzu Shouyu ramen. It was ready pretty fast for pickup, but parking around Park street can be tricky depending on the time and day. Thought they skimped on the amount of broth, but when everything came together it was a good balance and quite delicious. read more

I was looking for a ramen place closer than our usual one so decided to try this place out. Didn't realize that this place is part of a chain but that's fine. Went with the signature dish and also had to try out the karaage because everywhere I go, it's what I do. The karaage was pretty good. The crust is very light, thin. I feel like it could use just a tad more batter but it's tasty. And it comes with a dipping mayo thank goodness! I've to some places where there isn't any and it's just a dry fried chicken...not a fan of "no mayo." So this place gets an a-ok from me for karaage. As for the ramen itself, it's fine. The broth didn't make me raise an eyebrow or make loud slurping noises. It's good enough to satisfy your craving for some noodles but doesn't necessarily make me think about coming back often...especially since nowadays I can whip up a quick bowl of ramen at home pretty quick for a fraction of the price. In general eating ramen outside has become so pricey!! Most places charging upwards of $15 mostly so this fact of all things raises my eyebrow... read more

It was overall pretty good, the chashu pork was the best part. It tasted like it was straight off the bbq grill. The broth is definitely on the heavy side and a bit too oily. The noodles are ok. Their staff is very friendly. The inside could also be cuter, I was really bothered by some of the fruit flies flying around. It wasn't overwhelming but they were there read more

Wow first time and didn't disappoint! Friday 3/1/24 7:30pm: found a parking spot on park st! Ordered shoyu veggie and yuzu chicken and takoyaki. Service is fast friendly and attentive. The entire space was empty when we walked in but filled up after we ordered. Not bad! read more

So it's laundry, and dinning near by day again. I was craving for ramen so I ended up here instead of Wild Ginger next door. The places was pretty empty when I got there, or maybe I was the first one. Love the cozy and cleanliness that they have inside. I started out with the chicken karaage. At first I really like how thin their coating, and how moist their inside were, but they could use some salt on this one. The mayonnaise was a no. Then I had a Hiroshi Tonkatsu ramen, hm I really like the chewy/aldente texture in their noodle. Love the sweet tasting bamboo too. The hard boil egg was a no. The porkbelly slice have a nice grill, but it was too fatty, not enough bite into the meat. At first I didn't think much of the broth, but the more I sip it, the more overwhelmingly oily, and fatty it was to me. The broth has enough salt, but all I could tasted was the fattiness/oiliness. May be I should of went with the miso ramen option, that's usually the safest choice interm of broth flavor. The Ingredients of the food were good, service was great. Really appreciate the hot tea refill, because I really needed the tea to help me cut the fattiness of the meal overall. read more

It was a beautiful day and we were in the mood for a bowl of ramen. We called our friend to join us and we met at the restaurant. While we were waiting for our friend to arrive, we noticed that the parklet was shared by two other restaurants. Sushi & More on the right and Wild Ginger to the left. We asked and our server said that we could order dishes from the other restaurants as well. Today, we tried Sushi & More. Next time, it'll be Wild Ginger with their Hand-Pulled Noodles. We've been to Ramen Hiroshi in Walnut Creek and San Ramon. I think that this visit was comparable to the one in Walnut Creek. The service was superb. The soups base for my Hiroshi Tonkatsu and her Miso Ramen were spot on. Great temperature and filling. The noodles had a nice bite and texture. Our friend had the TanTanMen and liked it although it looked like it could have used more broth. She did comment that it had a nice spiciness to it though. We also got a simple appetizer of pickled cucumbers with lotus root slices. Those were interesting but not really my cup of tea. For ramen and other appetizers, we will definitely be back! read more

Absolutely incredible. This is such a high quality establishment and I was genuinely blown away at how amazing everything was. Outstanding service from Qoqo, wonderfully setup bowl of ramen, and overall relaxing setting with good music - what else can one ask for? Would 100% recommend this to anyone who loves a good a bowl of ramen! read more
I ended up here completely by accident. It was a happy accident. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean. My ramen was delicious. I ate every bite and have no regrets about it. It looks like this is a chain. I will definitely stop in next time I see one of their locations. read more

Scoring is purely based on food. (Note: If you just love all ramen, from instant to fancy, this place could be more of a 3. I'm really picky about my ramen, and the first time I actually enjoyed ramen was in Japan). == Food: 2-3 stars == - Hiroshi Tonkatsu Ramen: 2 stars. The moment the bowls came out, I had a feeling this wasn't going to be great -- even the texture of the soft boiled egg visibly seemed wrong (see photos). The ramen, the broth, both the thick curly and the default noodles -- everything was a little mediocre. Unfortunately this place really did not satiate the ramen cravings -- (so we had to go to Marufuku in Oakland the following weekend) - Chicken Karaage: 3 stars. A-okay. Not bad, but nothing to rave about either == Service/Staff: Good, solid 4 stars == Other - Outdoor seating available - Street parking and cheap parking garage nearby Note: This review was actually for when I came summer of 2021, but I held off posting because this place was relatively new and restaurants were struggling. It's quite possible this place has since improved read more

Delicious! We were so happy to hear of this new ramen place opening up within walking distance from our place. We came at around 6:30p on a Saturday night and there were people eating outside in their nice street patio area and inside. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We ordered the chicken karaage, Hiroshi Tonkotsu Ramen, Tantanmen, and a build your own ramen. The food was excellent. We like the karaage with lemon slice and dip that was nice bite sized pieces, the tonkotsu broth for both ramen we ordered was flavorful and not too rich and tried two kinds of noodles. The tantanmen is richer and had a nice spice level. Definitely would come back here again. read more
