After COVID my thyroid gland went nuts - I experienced a lot "more" .. hair loss, insomnia, fatigue, muscle weakness and loss, extreme sensitivity to cold, numbness in a few fingers and toes, a hoarse voice, anxiety, no libido, and excessively dry skin, to name a few issues. Doctor Shah spent 1.5 hours with me on my first office visit, treated me as an individual (not an age), and listened attentively to the pain, suffering, and frustration I was going thru. He reviewed all the medical records I brought with me, and requested a panel of other lab work, along with a couple thyroid tests I never heard of before. Nine months later almost to the day, I am sleeping better, I awake each morning lighter and happier, my hair loss has stopped, I am back at the gym able to workout, and my hoarse voice is gone. Since the first visit, I have had 2 additional teledoc calls with Dr. Shah. He always ends by saying: "Don't hesitate to call me - on my cell - if you have any questions or concerns." What doctor do you know who cares about you as a "individual and not a number," gets you the results you are seeking, and provides you direct contact, anytime, via his private line..?!

I appreciated how clearly she explained everything to my aunt and made sure she understood her options. The office was well-organized, and the staff was professional and friendly, which made the whole visit smooth from start to finish. Overall, I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate specialist.

I would NOT recommend Dr Goldfarb for parathyroid surgery. She performed parathyroid surgery on my…read morefamily member and first of all blatantly lied after surgery about how many parathyroids she took out. Right after surgery she said they took one "and a little bit", then in the following days tells my family member 3 were taken out. She also failed to send my family member home taking calcium after the surgery (standard procedure at the best in the country Norman Parathryroid center in Tampa, we have a family member who had parathyroid surgery here). She waited for calcium to get low and have symptoms before treating rather than trying to prevent from going low in the first place. Since then we have had nothing but issues and almost a year later now my family member is suffering from hypoparathyroidism and having to take calcium everyday to prevent symptoms of low calcium, which the internet says this is usually a result of damage caused during surgery. I am convinced she is the cause of all of this. The said she had to dig around and go almost to the spine to find one and I think she damaged something causing the patient to now have a life long issue. The endocrinologist are now saying the parathyroid may never come back and my family member may have to be on calcium for the rest of their life (risking kidney stones) or medication which is a shot every day to manage the PTH levels. On top of that, Dr Goldfarb's surgery left a huge noticeable scar on the neck of the patient. We are now questioning whether the surgery was even necessary. Prior to this, there were no symptoms no issues besides slightly high calcium and slightly elevated PTH showing up on bloodwork and now it is a daily struggle to manage and no doctor in town seems to know what is going on. Dr Goldfarb was cocky and over confident and dismissive when questions were asked about difficulties with parathyroid surgeries. She was also not proactive in working with the endocrinologist to help with these issues. I would never send anyone to this surgeon and certainly would NEVER allow her to cut my neck open. People need to be aware that parathyroid surgery isn't as simple as doctors make it out to be. I just wish my family member would have gone to UCLA or even Norman Parathyroid Center in Tampa or maybe didn't really even need the surgery to begin with but...surgeons make money off of surgery, dont they?

Generally, such great reviews for a doctor's office leave me a bit skeptical (my father owned a couple of medical clinics throughout his career, and my mother was an administrator, so I've been behind the scenes). However, I booked my first appointment and never looked back! They were very accommodating during the Pandemic, so my treatment, while remote, never skipped a beat. There are very good reasons she's booked so far in advance, and why so many of her patients are devoted to her practice. Finding a physician who still radiates a passion for her profession is rare these days - grueling schedules and insurance claim headaches can wear away at the most cheerful of personalities. However, in the years I spent under her care, she never lost focus on the patient, their medical treatment, and their overall experience.

From the very beginning, she truly listened to my concerns and took the time to investigate the root causes affecting my health and fertility. Dr. Rubal quickly identified several underlying conditions, including endometriosis, PCOS, insulin resistance, prediabetes, high cholesterol, and other issues that had gone undiagnosed for years. She recommended a GLP-1 medication as part of my treatment plan, and after just three months, I feel like a completely different person. While I am still on my journey toward pregnancy, I finally feel hopeful because Dr. Rubal is helping me heal the underlying causes rather than simply treating symptoms. She is an exceptional physician with extensive medical knowledge, profound empathy, and a truly compassionate approach to patient care. She listens carefully, communicates clearly, and makes you feel genuinely supported every step of the way. I suffered from 3 pregnancy losses and didn't know where to turn until a friend of mine told me about Dr. Rubal and how she helped her become pregnant. I saw Dr. Rubal in May 2025, where she intentionally listened to me and my husband and our experience with loss. She was kind and compassionate but also straightforward and to the point when it came to the diagnoses. We saw her 3 times to create a game plan, which included taking supplements and also changing lifestyle factors. She was aways available via her patient portal to talk about next steps. 4 months later, I am so happy to say I am 8 weeks pregnant and finally got to hear that precious heart beat! IVF wasn't an option since it is a financial stressor as well as something that didn't align with my values. IVF isn't a 100% success rate or guarantee you will be blessed with a baby. Going with more holistic approach will save you a ton of money and you will learn a lot about your health and body. I encourage you to listen to Dr. Rubal on several podcasts before hand so you can gain a sense of how much it may cost you vs IVF and compare the success rates between the two approaches. Please keep in mind, Dr. Rubal in a one woman show, so it may take 2-3 weeks for her to get back to your initial message. You may also have to wait a bit for your appointment time because she it so committed to all of her patients, she takes time with them and will do the same for you. And I know waiting any amount of time while trying to conceive it like a lifetime but be patient because she is worth it! Good luck!
