Erich and his crew are, first and foremost, highly skilled at their craft and about as polite and responsible as any contractor I have ever hired. They are personable too and having them work on projects in our home is informative because they take the time to explain what they are doing and suggesting what else needs to be done, without tacking on time charges for explaining it. Nice. I have used FC for installing irrigation plumbing, restoring/installing fixtures in the home, installing new plumbing as needed and even advising about and installing water filtration/softening systems. Plumbers don't come cheap, but trustworthy and reliable plumbing contractors are hard to find. First Class prices are reasonable, and if you factor in the quality of their work, a dang bargain at any price. I am pleased to write this 5 star review, truly, -- I am that impressed by these folks. It takes a bit of doing to get that kind of flowery complement out of a snarky curmudgeon like me -- so take it from whence it comes.

The new law is both must match. To make a long story short, there was no way I was ripping out a practically new air handler. And old faithful was uncertain if they could locate a compatible condenser. A client recommended Hofmeister to the rescue. From the moment I called, I knew I was in capable hands. Nancy, who answered the phone is nothing short of fantastic. Knowledgeable, calm and efficient. Sean, the air conditioning maestro is amazing. Nancy was able to locate a compatible condenser within 2 hours. Sean came to thoroughly check my entire air conditioning system for compatibility. Where do you get service like this today? You don't. Fernando and Cory were polite and respectful. I appreciated that they immediately put booties on their shoes before walking through my home. I was having a problem with the shower head in my bathroom. It would start to leak whenever the washer or a faucet was turned on. It also seemed like something was going on with the water pressure throughout the house. I was concerned they would have to cut through the wall to look at the pipes. In a second bathroom I was having a problem with a leaky spout in the bathtub. Fernando quickly diagnosed the problem. The leaking shower head was caused by a worn-out cartridge that needed to be replaced. In the second bathroom, the spout needed to be replaced. No walls had to be cut open! Fernando and Cory had to go to the plumbing store to get a new cartridge and spout. They returned fairly quickly and replaced all the parts. From start to finish the job took approximately 2 hours. They also charged a reasonable price. I highly recommend Steadfast Plumbing.

The other company wanted to charge me over $2200 to replace my expansion tank, pressure relief valve, and purge my gas boiler. I was dumbfounded. I visited Coles and explained to the nice young lady at the desk what I needed done and about the other plumber. She told me yes, they were cheaper, and the following day, she sent me a quote. My jaw dropped on how much cheaper Coles was charging. Chris came over. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained everything that he was going to do before doing anything to the boiler. If he ran into a hiccup, he would inform me before doing anything. I really appreciated that. He considered me and not do whatever without discussing it with me. Chris replaced several valves, replaced the expansion tank, cleaned the boiler, replaced a thermostat, and purged the boiler and the cost was much less than half of what the other company wanted to charge me. Coles was honest, reasonable, professional, courteous. If only more businesses were like that. May God bless abundantly the Coles business, their families, everyone who works for them. And may they continue their business from generation to generation. I definitely recommend Cole's of Washingtonville.
