This is the WORST HOTEL I've seen in a while. If I could give 0 stars I would. They just threw some paint all over the walls, added new chandelier to the entry and called it a makeover. Whoever owns this needs to gut this whole hotel. First issue:The main elevator does not work. The second elevator is in the very back of the hotel which is a long walk. Second Issue: We had to change rooms THREE times before we got a semi decent room. First room, the toilet was leaking all over the floor. Going to the second room, housekeeping left linen ON the floor outside the door. Even with it being on a bag that is NOT sanitary. Second room we had to figure out HOW to get in the room the door handle opens the opposite way and then the light covering is missing and laying ON the counter in the bathroom. The third room finally looked livable. But came back in my room to find a bug on my pillow!!!!! I will NEVER come back here!!!!! On top of the fact we are here for an event and there is NO heat in the large ballroom and they didn't even notify the people on the contract until day of and threatened to call the police because one of the contract holders was asking questions!!! This is just crazy. read more

It is a choice hotel now. The rooms hears everything from the road, it is loud. There is no place to put soap, or to shave into the shower. The rooms are remodeled, looks like a 5 yr old painted the rooms, and 8 yr old did the pluming/ dry wall. The refrigerator is already broken. Microwave took 4 mins to make cook shrimps Luke warm. "Breakfast" is bread, muffins, cold cereal, yogurt, juice. Jelly but no peanut butter. Spoke to the front desk about the lack of options for breakfast, they seemed genuinely pleased with their" abundance" of options... lol read more

I have already provided this feedback through a booking site so I do not feel this is a cheap shot review. Summary: Stay here if it is enough that the bed is okay and the TV works and the shower is okay and it is in the right location. Do not stay here if the property condition and offerings are not acceptable or if you depend on a company's website to be accurate. I didn't look at Yelp before I booked this hotel. That was a serious mistake. Sorry, kids, I should have let you guide me. This three night stay was a little cheaper than nearby hotels but I think I should have coughed up the cash to stay somewhere else. Liked: The bed was acceptable. Water pressure was good. Staff was friendly. Location was good. Ample parking. Large meeting room, although it is not clear that there is any available food service as I saw a large party toting food in with them. Problems: The place is outdated and not in working order. The elevators in this four (?) story hotel have apparently been out of order for at least five months, looking at yelp reviews and bookingdotcom reviews. (There is apparently a freight elevator at the far end of the long property but not even a sign directing people there.) Contrary to the Wyndam website, there is no restaurant or bar (there was signage for them but no longer operating.) The picture of a restaurant space they offer on the web may have been a restaurant at one time but all it is now is a bunch of tables near the continental breakfast. The alcove in that area that was likely a bar is completely empty with no sign it is ever used any longer. Public areas were not cleaned / lobby rest rooms had no supplies for at least a day and a night, there was a pile of poop in the floor of the lobby men's room overnight that had been stepped in and tracked across the floor, and every morning cereal trailed up the hallway from the minimal breakfast bar. First and second floor (and maybe others) had three large LOUD exhaust fans in the hall for several days trying to clear the air from what I assume was either a water problem or repair work. In my opinion the guest rooms have insufficient electrical service for modern travelers -- in a room set up for up to four adults (two queen beds) we were a party of three, and we had to unplug the alarm clock and hair dryer to get enough open plugs for our needs. Not sure why, but the microwave was unplugged on our arrival, perhaps to free up a plug at an earlier time. Holes and general abrasions on the walls of my room, in the entry way, beside the bed where they have replaced fixtures without repairing, even one hole in the bathroom plugged with toilet paper. Trim missing in the hallway in first floor. The place is just worn out. I was actually divided on whether to give this place two stars instead of one... the room itself was safe and comfortable to sleep in and that does carry some weight. I opt for one star because of the length of time the elevators have been down, the fact that Corporate is false advertising about dining amenities (which is a huge deal), and the fact that all these one star reviews going back months apparently don't mean a thing to the owners. I will not ever stay in another Ramada or Wyndam property without thoroughly researching. read more

This hotel was just... very okay. There's absolutely nothing to rave about. The hallways looked like something straight out of a horror movie, with disgustingly dim lights that gave the place a creepy vibe. It feels like they have zero internal communication--despite my request for a noon checkout and the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, housekeeping started knocking at 10 AM like relentless insects. The only mildly redeeming factor (and I say mildly) was the front desk guy from last night who took the time to walk us to our room after we struggled to get the door open. But honestly, everything else was lackluster. The room was filled with annoying noises--the AC vents clicked and clacked, the refrigerator popped loudly every five seconds, and the floors were far from well-kept. The bed was decent, I'll give them that, but overall, this place was not it. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you have absolutely no other choice. That was the case for us last night since every other hotel was booked. read more

What a dump! What a joke! If you're reading this and thinking about staying here, DON'T. If you're reading this and standing in the lobby, GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN. My Dad has already written his review and while he too gave it one star, he gives undue credit on one point: He suggests the beds are fine. I must dispute this. My bed felt like it was on the brink of breaking in half or coming off of the frame at any moment. And on the second night, it did crack. On the third night it either came off the broken frame or the frame broke. It's really hard to say which. The mattress formed a donut in the center whenever I got in bed, requiring much tossing and turning in order to get comfortable or to even get out. Pair that with a bed that made a cracking sound and teetered every time I sat on it, and you imagine the quality of sleep I got. There is one chair in the room and a desk, so if you'd like to sit at a table and say, play cards, you'll have to go elsewhere. The rooms look like they're recovering from bed bugs because aside from the bedding and curtains, there's not one stitch of fabric in the rooms, not a couch, no carpeting, nada. And maybe that's for the best, God knows what that could absorb or hide. The hotel is "in need of repair," and by that I mean it needs to be demolished. There are holes in the walls--including in the bedroom and bathrooms (both in our room and in the public area), trim is missing, the lack of carpeting in the hallways means anytime someone speaks out there it echoes loudly into the rooms. The elevators have been down for 5+ months, and while there's apparently another elevator somewhere in the building, there are no signs to indicate where, so it's not particularly useful. There is no restaurant and bar--despite what the website (including corporate) says. The only time the restaurant area is open is for the "continental breakfast." The breakfast is comprised of a single waffle maker, 3 kinds of cereal, and individually wrapped muffins from Sam's Club. Do yourself a favor and do not drink the coffee. Trust me. It is VILE. And after breakfast is over, they close off this area. So remember me mentioning wanting to sit around a table, maybe play cards? Can't do that here either. This is the most inhospitable hotel ever. And they demonstrate it with how filthy the place is. Public bathrooms were a horror show with a pile of poop in the men's room that was stepped in and tracked all over the place. UGH. And they ran out of things like toilet paper and paper towels, which went unstocked for days at a time. Rooms were obviously smoking rooms at one point, or people simply ignored the no smoking. The tobacco smoke coming off of 103 was so strong you could smell it 3 feet away. So many places just reeked of smoke or mildew. Honestly, I didn't feel clean or dry the entire time I was there. Everything felt damp, dingy, and dirty! In conclusion: DON'T STAY HERE. Go anywhere else. read more

I would prefer not to give a star but can't post this review without one. Don't stay here. Please. Under renovation is an understatement and based on reviews, it's been under renovation for a long time. It should be closed down during this time for so many reason, some of which are exposed wiring in hallways, the elevators don't work, fire alarms not functional in hallways, side hotel door never locked exposing guests to homeless population coming in and out all night long. The room? TV broken, lamp base covered in oily substance with hair on it, microwave dirty, no place to hang clothes, no hairdryer, one set of towels and a rag of a wash cloth. New shower fixtures installed incorrectly and water all over the floor after shower. One little soap. I took pictures of it all because I couldn't believe it. I wish I could post them here. And to top it off... we were there so see a family member who was in hospice. We drove 7hrs so that my 85 yo MIL could see her 88 yo sister one more time, and fully thought we would need two rooms for two nights but it turned out we couldn't see her the second day. I explained this to two employees the evening of the first night of the stay and asked to cancel and for a refund for the second night. Was told to contact Priveline, which I did. Priceline agreed to the cancellation and needed to confirm with the hotel to issue a refund. Priceline contacted the hotel twice. They refused. I understand policy but what about compassion. Just a sad looking place and actually dangerous. I don't know how inspectors could have passed those conditions for guests to stay in that building as it is. BEWARE. read more

Everyone here got it right, it's a one or zero star for this Ramada. It baffles me such a place called hotel exist in this world. Yes, I am guilty. I have read everyone's reviews before booking this place, still I booked a room here. Did I hit my head on the curb? There was an event in Gainesville and everyone attending the event is staying in this property (I refused to call this a hotel!!) When the car was near, I spotted the building. I blurted "Charming!" Upon entering the property, I started dying inside. The place smelled so funky; sketchy people checking into the hotel too. The front desk staff asked for my ID and credit card for incidentals. Now I am starting to think... what incidentals?? There is no room service, no mini bar. There were no clear signs where the elevators are. Wandering my way and found the elevators and saw more sketchy people. The floor inside the elevator was carpeted and looked so nasty. The carpet along the hallway was not any better. Only one staff who worked on 3/1/2019 Friday night was rather nice, the rest needed more hospitality training. Oh, and the room keys were constantly not working. I was horrified when I opened that room 411. It reeked, clearly people who checked into this hotel have no regards to whether the rooms are smoking or non smoking rooms. The housekeeping here clearly thinks this room smells fine. No, it is not. I died a whole lot more inside. The room smelled absolutely disgusting. The carpet was stained. The bathroom has a wall with stains and a strand of hair which clearly was not mine. The tissue box was sticky. The window was filthy. There was a hole on the duvet (first time I checked into a place where there is no duvet cover). Granted, I stayed in lots of absolutely amazing and world class hotels in this world. However, I was not expecting Ramada to be like St Regis or Conrad or JW Marriott. All I wanted from a $100 a night room is a clean and non stinky room. Is that too much to ask?? I guess it is official, Ramada by Wyndham is The Worst place I ever stayed in my entire life. No one can ever convince to come here again and suffer, not even for one night! PS. The complimentary breakfast looked disgusting :( Then again, I did not expect much anyway. This place deserves no star! read more

This hotel was appalling. Room 103 was absolutely filthy and reeked like an ashtray. Ramada and the Wyndham company should be ashamed of the condition of their rooms and the amount of money they are charging for this disgust, $225.00. Nobody' should ever stay in such filth and be charged this outrageous amount of money. The Motel 6 I stayed in last night in Newport, Tennessee was nicer and cleaner than this dump and half the price. I will never stay at a Ramada/Wyndham hotel again as it seems this hotel chain just doesn't care. The previous 1 star ratings are from years ago and they've done nothing to improve the quality of their product and property. Please don't waste your money, no matter how tired you are. You and your family deserve better and you're better off sleeping in your car... it's that bad. read more

One star only because Samuel at the front desk could not have been nicer and was very professional throughout our short visit. This is the only part of this hotel that Wyndham should not be ashamed of. If there were any attempts at renovation going on, we did not see them. We saw as soon as we arrived that the hotel was in bad shape. We decided we would at least take a look at the room. It was horrible! Ancient filthy carpet, shabby curtains, torn furniture, etc. And the elevators were broken meaning we had to go upstairs in a filthy stairwell. We went back downstairs and cancelled our room immediately. It is not like they advertise this place at a discount. The price was comparable to the nearby and quite nice Hampton Inn down the street where we were fortunate to get a room. read more

When my husband booked this hotel without looking at the ratings and I saw it only had 1star I was nervous. It wasn't that bad. Yes, it's an older hotel, but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The area seemed nice, but we were just passing through and didn't explore much. I'm only giving it 3 stars because the breakfast was terrible. With a family of five, we try to book hotels that serve breakfast so we can save money on food. There were slices of white bread sitting by a toaster and a small container of scrambled eggs. There were a few containers of cereal, but we had to hunt down milk to go with it. No staff in sight. Toilet clogged first time I used it, phone missing parts and doesn't have a dial tone after trying to diagnose it. Called lobby from my cell and asked when breakfast was and she said 630. Also told her about the phone and she said "ok". My son woke and was hungry at 645 and so we went down stairs to no breakfast, same clerk said she must not have put it out yet. I asked again what time it was served and she again said 630. I walked away. Grabbed some coffee and we were heading back to the room in elevator when suddenly it felt like it hit the floor but we were on the 4th floor- weird but our coffees went flying all over the elevator and scared the shit out of us. No need to rate this place or talk bad about it you make your own decision when staying! The front lobby is misleading as it looks decently presentable. read more

This place was absolutely disgusting. I booked it last minute while traveling. Pictures looked great. The water in the shower was dirty from rust in the pipes or other reason. All of the plumbing didn't drain properly. The bed was acceptable but the room was so dark it was hard to tell if it was actually clean. Felt unsafe as well. read more

The property is very dated and well used. There was trash in the parking lot, lobby floors. The carpet, chairs in our room were stained and furniture was coming apart. Our bathroom; sink hot water reversed, toilet seat had to be held to stay up. read more

Poor excuse for a hotel, this place needs to be reported to the bbb as a violation to customers. Nasty , rundown, no customer service, if you come in in the dark! The front desk staff is wonderful and are the only reason this is not a 1 star review. Awful rooms and amenities. There's a disgusting stain on the carpet next to my bed. The window doesn't seal all the way. The air control works ok. The TV is terribly small. I saw all the other reviews and figured they had to be exaggerating. Nope. Holy moly. Where the hell do I start with this place.... The room was dirty. Wasn't vacuumed. Spiderwebs and dust. The tub was discolored. The furniture was in disrepair. The leather seat had rips and tears and holes. The TV stand and table had a loose fake venier that was loose and popping up and sliding The bed springs popped and creaked everytime you moved, like old school 70s beds or something. The outside hallways were super loud from inside the room, likely because they were not carpeted and echoed a lot. The outside hallway also was very dark and uninviting. The phone in the room did not work. The TV was super small. The curtain sheers were ripped. The room did not have carpet it was cold hard laminate. The toilets flush very very weak and slow and it felt like they would clog with the first use. We tried not to use them.. when we did it was awkward because the toilets were very very low to the ground like it was a preschool toilet. The elevator said not in service but still was able to be used if you call it. At some point the sign had fallen off and had been placed on a chair in the elevator lobby and anyone could have easily just got on it and used it not aware that it was in disrepair. The elevator also was all scratched up and super dirty. There were sheetrock patches and touch up paint spots in the room and throughput the hotel that were very poorly done. It looked like a low income apartment complex. The stairwells were filthy and dim. The entire motel had a pathogical level abundance of printed paper signs with instructions orders rules and warnings EVERYWHERE. I felt like I was at a boarding school. The feeling there was unpleasant from begining to end. The young man at the front desk was very rude and dismissive. Would not provide the most basic of customer service niceties. Not even basic eye contact or smile or pleasant demeanor. Seemed annoyed the whole time. The lady who was there the next day however was very pleasant. They were unable to provide me with a fan, while this may not be a big deal, it juat was odd because most places are willing to lend us one. There is more butbi get the strong impression that all of this is already known by the owner and managment. read more

If you like bedbugs, then this is the place for you! Big, small, fat and aggressive! They have them all! I was accosted by a Shrek sized homeless woman as soon as I entered. Smelled like an ashtray. Nice. Staff didn't care that a homeless woman was in their lobby. Immediately found bedbugs as there was excrement on our pillows and sheets. Told front desk who then said that the hotel had been sprayed and implied that my wife and I must've brought them with us. Nice. We were offered a room switch and a $10 discount. How wonderful. We ended up leaving and staying at a decent establishment. Top to bottom a very disgusting hotel with homeless screaming in the lobby. read more

The worst hotel stay ever!!! Deserves no stars. The first day I had 2 high price items stolen from my room. Once noticed, I contacted the front desk to make them aware of the situation and get the local police number. The women at the desk offered no sympathy. She simply gave me the phone number without so much as an apology for the inconvenience. Luckily, I was able to file a report to the police as well as Wyndham. Upon checkout, I asked once more what was being done on the issue. The lady gave me the managers phone number; however, she stated the phones at the hotel do not take outside calls!? So, in hopes of getting in touch with this mystery manager named Mike, the women wrote down my name and phone number for him to give me a call. 3 days later.. still no call. I emailed him as well and never heard from him. In addition to the stolen property, the hotel smelled and breakfast was awful. Whatever you do, don't stay here!!! read more

Filthy! Hallways looked like they had NEVER been cleaned and there was a sickly sweet deodorizing smell that didn't quite mask the underlying stench of old food and God knows what else...just nasty. They are undergoing some kind of construction near the check-in desk that requires you to go back outside and walk around the hotel to re-enter a side door to get to your room. Ok if the weather is nice, but not so much if it's raining. The "pleather" footrest in our room was ripped, and there was a big unsightly rust stain in the tub that prevented my wife from taking a bath. If I could give an honest rating, it would be a 0 star facility. Upon check out date, the hotel charged my person credit card for $60. When asked, they said it was because we had a pet. I, in fact, have a service animal. They told me it did not matter, the charge was non refundable since we washed him with their new towels. My fiancé advised them that was a lie, he works as an Industrial Refrigeration Tech, meaning he is covered in grease by the time he gets home. Or in our case hotel since he travels 100% of the time. This was all becoming highly offense at this point. The next issue, was my service animal. They proceeded to ask for his papers, in which by law there is no national database for said paperwork, nor does it even exist. Under ADA regulations, facilities are only allowed to ask two questions. 1)is this a service animal 2) what is the animal trained to do. THAT IS IT!!!! Being a person with a disability and having someone belittle you in this manner is DISGUSTING! They not only did not return my $60, but also called the cops on my fiancé. Once the cops arrived... the hotel staff were giving a lesson on MY RIGHTS as a disabled American. I'm now going to be looking into legal services due to the ignorance and unlawfulness of this hotel! Not to mention, the rooms were filthy, the bathrooms had scum in them and the windows leaked, leaving the rooms smelling like mold if the a/c was not turned down all the way. A hotel should not be open if they are renovating. No does are locked. You would usually use the room key to get in from the outside. Nope its just open for anyone to walk in . And housekeeping doesn't know who actually stays on the rooms. They'll let anyone in. I'd never stay at this trash place again. I stayed at this hotel before and have had absolutely no complaints. Therefore, I booked a room through hotels.com. Upon checking in, I noticed the hotel with undergoing renovations. So when I was told to access my room I would have to go in through at outside side door, I wasn't too concerned. However, that side door which has a key card for guests was unlocked. Not only that, but two other access doors were also unlocked! When I got to my room I called the front desk and told young lady of the situation with the doors. Her reply was, "Well, we are undergoing renovation and that's why the outside doors are left unlocked." So I said to her, "So, I'm staying in an unsecured facility. Right?" To that she had no reply. In addition to the lack of security and concern for their guests, the carpet in the room was absolutely filthy! I'm not going to complain about the shape of some of the walls because they are going through the renovation process. However, they should be able to keep the carpets clean in the room that they are renting! In addition to all that, there were black hairs on the fitted sheet when I pulled the covers back. It is such a hassle to change hotels when you have booked through a website, so I'm sleeping on top of the covers tonight and plan to speak to the general manager in the morning. read more

Needed a place close to the center of town and relied on the Ramada name. This was a big mistake! The walls in the room were damaged and repairs have not been completed. Toilets are positioned close to the floor and are hard for seniors to utilize. Rooms are small, while furniture is large, making movement hard. Storage of property for two people is awful. Two suitcases will be the most for a room with two queen beds, and that still took up the chair for our suitcase. While the staff is friendly, food at the restaurant is average and some hot trays are warm at best. A remodel of this property is a must, or it's best days are behind it! read more

Total dump. PRICELINE rated it as 3 stars. Really ? I believe its a one star. Maybe I am unfamiliar with the rankings. Is it a 3 star because of the ... Filthy Carpet? Popcorn ceilings? 1980's furniture ? Rock hard mattresses ? Extremely thin walls to the outside which amplify the road noise ? Is it the noisy wall unit ac ? Maybe its the half drank beer bottles in the elevator ? Dingy smell ? Maybe these things are considered luxurious and I am simply out of touch. read more

For the cost which was over $100 I didn't think it would look like a motel. My husband and I stayed at this location last night, March 26. We had driven over 5 hours and this was the only place we could find a room as we were told there were several events going on this weekend. We arrived around 11 and got checked in with no problem. We were told we got an awesome deal on the room as it was recently renovated and typically would have cost $200 rather than the $100 we paid online. Sounded great.. recently renovated and an awesome room! Far from it. We got to the room and my husband noticed the "patio " door was unlocked and the curtains to the outside were open. I had my husband check the bathroom to make sure there was no one in it.. thankfully there wasn't. It was late, I was extremely tired from having worked all day and just driven close to 6 hours straight. I went straight to bed. I woke up at 7 and went to get a bath. As I was in the tub, I was looking around the bathroom and I noticed a blue jar/cup like thing with some liquid in it under the sink. I had my husband come check it out for me, and he said it was a crack pipe!! He went to the front desk and was told there was nothing he could do until someone from management got there. We had somewhere to be by 9, so there was no way we could have spoken to management. I went to the front desk and asked the guy to contact his managers because something needed to be done. After several phone calls to the managers, I gave up waiting as it was 8 and the corporate line was finally open. I called them and received no satisfaction from this issue. I was told I had to wait 7-10 days before I would get a call back from anyone. I was also asked why didn't I just leave.. by the lady on the phone taking my complaint!!! I'm pretty sure the "crack pipe" belonged to an employee there considering no one seemed to want to handle the issue within the location, and also since the patio door was open. I am only thankful we were the ones to find this.. what if it was a child to have found it and thought it was a drink? Ramada or Wyndham would have had a much larger issue on their hand with having a child getting sick or possibly dying from it. Good news is, the crack pipe got broken so no one will be able to use it again! For whomever gets room 126, please wear your shoes in the bathroom because when my husband moved the thing, the liquid spilled onto the floor, and also it did spill onto the counter when it was busted. I don't agree with drugs and feel the people who could have done something only chose not to.. only to keep their staff safe since it probably belonged to them. My best advice would be to not stay here if you can avoid it. Cockroaches in the lobby welcomed us. The water from each faucet comes out brown. Wifi connection is shoddy at best. Most rooms don't connect to the wifi at all. 2 rooms we had didn't have functioning toilets at all. One member of our group had items stolen from their room. The rooms, although non smoking, smelled heavily like cigarettes. If it were possible to give 0 stars my 4 companions and I would all rate this place 0. The one decent thing about this hotel is the helpfulness of the front desk employees. Sleeping in your car would likely be cleaner and more comfortable. read more
