October 2021, 12 nights, free (all nights covered by our points). We selected this hotel based on various site's 4+ average ratings and the desire to burn Marriott points before we lost them. The staff was friendly. This hotel is a little tired/worn though. I think a little attention to detail could overcome some of these things, e.g., our bathroom had a dead bulb the night we checked in and the nice note written by housekeeping was on a tablet with a coffee spill. The next day another bathroom light bulb went out so I had to ask for two bulbs. The next night the tv wouldn't turn off so we had to unplug it but then in the morning the tv would comeback on after we plugged it back in. The fitness room was closed for much of our stay due to an HVAC problem but guests could use the Marriott Townsuites fitness room (the hotels have adjoining parking g lots). The breakfast service was back to normal/pre-COVID and they have an A (99 out of 100) health inspection rating. There is a laundry on the second floor with generously sized washer and dryer, which was $3 per wash and $3 per dry. Some evenings there was fresh chocolate chip cookies in the lobby. The internet signal was good. My husband and I both worked remotely on a few days of our stay and had no trouble with video calls, email, etc. I don't think if we're in the area that we'd stay here again. read more

Kendra and Awal were exceptional in every way in making our stay the most consummate and healing stay after my surgery recovery near the surgical center when I had hernia surgery. They went above and beyond in making sure we could check in before my surgery so there was an easy transition back to the hotel. They offered me extra pillows and a room that was on the top floor and very quiet. The quality of the hotel was also exceptional and beautiful. I love love love this hotel! read more

While at hotel I have been informed that the bus we are traveling in cannot park near the front of the hotel because those are premium and for cars. Even though we have booked over 25 rooms this week and are occupying most of the hotel. I suppose if you are traveling in a bit and booking entire floors you are considered 2nd class here. Note, this was not even overnight parking, that was brief and only for 2 hours in the middle of the day for the group to eat lunch and then we would have been gone. I counted only 2 cars in the entire parking lot. So I suppose 25 rooms do not warrant 5 parking spaces. Would not advise staying here with a group. read more

Some rooms are nice avoid room 416 Th bed sucks i have stayed at hundreds of marriort but for some reason I could get no sleep in this bed will change rooms tomorrow. Most queen beds are newer and alot more comfortable but this is a king and my back is killing me in this bed. read more

Although the rooms are clean, cleaning time habits are super early 5:30am til when they decided to stop slamming furniture around and stomping floors and making noise. Sounds more like a Zoo than a peaceful stay. It's pointless to have a quiet zone when employees don't use it, as well as Quests. You can never reach them in person at the front desk bc they're never there. You have to wait for several minutes to hours or if you're lucky enough to have a room and call front desk by phone. The first two nights were good and quiet, after that it went down hill with load noises from both sides of the rooms next to us and the Fat Baby Elephants walking on the 4th floor above us. Never again staying here. I give you guys Zero Stars. read more

I've never stayed at a worse hotel in recent memory. The room is old and dirty. It looked like the kind of place you'd expect to find bedbugs. Luckily, no bedbug bites after two nights. I could not sleep because the walls are so thin, you can hear people next door just talking. The people next door woke up early before 7am, so I had bad sleep for two nights. Both beds were uncomfortable and the sheets had pilling (also uncomfortable). For the third night, I went back to my home. I picked Fairfield Inn because it is a Marriott brand that is close to the hospital. I might try Townplace Suites next door. That said, all of the staff members I spoke with recognized my Marriott status and were extremely nice. Really great customer service. I have no complaints about the service. I liked that the hotel had free breakfast (even though I did not go to it) and complimentary parking. The hotel building needs a total upgrade, or demolish it and build something decent! I gave it two stars because I did not get bedbug bites. read more

SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE HILTON!! Able to schedule pretty much last minute after I evacuated the Hilton

It's dated and not very clean. The room furniture is gross and it's heavily worn. No wine key available on property, which is a first for me in any hotel. Breakfast was supposedly from 6 until 10, but when we arrived in the lobby at 6:30, there was no coffee, no cups, no breakfast, and no cups for juice. The washcloths from the last guest are still in our shower, even after asking in the app to have them removed. If you are a light sleeper, this is NOT the place for you. I've never slept in any hotel where I knew the neighbors names after the first night, but I hope Tyler can behave tonight and get into bed earlier. We had noise coming at us from all sides - the stomping upstairs, hallway noise, street noise, and Tyler's family. It is unbelievably loud. The upsides are that it isn't FILTHY, just kind of dirty and it is conveniently located - several food options nearby. read more

I read a few of these reviews after we checked in and honestly thought most of them were just some jaded people who judged the hotel unfairly. Until... The walls are paper thin. This was made painfully apparent on our last night when our family was treated to a death metal performance on the neighbors TV from midnight to 3:30am. The rooms were fairly clean and we had no real issues there, however, we got the feeling that the entire place was due for an upgrade. Again, not a single major issue that stood out, but more of a series of inconveniences and annoyances. For example, when I got the luggage cart and brought it in, the front tires were nearly flat making the cart difficult to navigate. The front desk employee noticed me struggling and said, "Yea, those tires are flat aren't they?" And kind smiled it off. Uh, why not have it fixed? My father-in-law was staying at the hotel at the same time and went to use their business center to print something. He ended up having to drive to a FedEx center because our hotel printer was out of toner and he was told it had been ordered "weeks ago". Since when does printer toner take weeks to deliver? Just go to Walmart and solve the problem. The breakfast bar was about what you'd expect, except the weekends not offering any hot food at all. The coffee was old and cold and I imagine drinking from a gutter would taste better. We ended up leaving and eating elsewhere. Perhaps this hotel is unique in that others that carry this name are in better shape and managed better, but for now, we plan on skipping this one and any other Fairfields. read more

Made a reservation this morning around 11 am. Called to confirm they received it and to let them know we will be arriving late since we are coming from Texas. The person I spoke to saw my reservation confirmed they have our room. About 730 this evening someone called and say they only have one room with a king since they over booked, and they don't have what we requested. I'm sorry I think it's shitty they call so late when we are two hours away, and if they confirm it this morning why tell me now they don't have our room? And they have a power outage in the city and people have been staying there. Well that isn't my problem, especially when I had called ahead to confirm. You guys should of accommodated us. I booked two queens beds. And you only had a king left now? There is three adults and that would not of worked. Now I have booked another hotel different city called to book it. The 3 different employees we encountered were the sweetest ladies who genuinely cared about our stay and the service they gave ; above & beyond helpful with any requests or questions. Remodeled room was great with comfortable beds. Construction happening never bothered our stay at all. Would definitely book & stay again. read more

We checked in at this hotel pretty late at night. It is part of the Marriott hotel chain, so the lobby and all the furnishings are beautiful. After we got in, although the room also has beautiful furnishings, we soon found out the toilet has poop in it and there's hair on many spots in the bathroom. I took pictures and went down to talk to the young guy at the front desk - but he was not there - he was outside having a smoke. He told me I'll need to talk to the manager in the morning about it. So I did went and talk to the manager in the morning. The manager who is an older gentleman, was very apologetic, saying that's not how they normally do things and the housekeeping staff was new. He's offered us a free night of stay but we booked the hotel on a 3rd party site, so he says to call him upon on our next visit and he'll get us a free night. Well that was nice although we were just passing through. His kind gesture and his customer service made it up for our bad experience, that's for sure. Therefore, 3 stars! read more

Check in by Ashley. She was very professional and super friendly. Jessica was another outstanding staff member. The breakfast was fresh ,hot and continuesly replinished. Stayed here for a week while working in the area. Was very happy that they were right down the street from the hospital that I was working at. Overall the rooms were very spacious, clean and I had a comfortable stay. They offered breakfast which I never ate but they did offer it. The staff was friendly and I was pleased with my stay at this location. read more

If you are used to good customer service and clean hotel rooms, I'd advise against staying here. We drove down for one day, and they placed us on the 1st floor next to the lobby. ( not a big deal, but for security issues we wanted a higher floor ) Once we realized this walking to the room, we went back to the front desk and kindly asked if they had anything on a different floor. She said "why?" Very bluntly and rude. We told her "personal preference" She said, "no we are booked". I wish I could spell out how rude she was, but this is not the Marriott way. It's not a big deal that they were booked, and could not accommodate our request, it was the way she handled it that left a sour taste in our mouth. I worked at a Marriott not long ago, and if we acted the way she did, we would be written up. From the reviews, it seems like it's a common occurrence here. On the app for check in we requested extra towels, there were none in the room. The curtains were stained, and overall the room was not cleaned well. The stand for the TV needed replaced and has a huge chunk of wood missing out of it. Not the Marriott experience we are typically used to. The manager on duty that night needs an attitude adjustment, and the hotel needs a light renovation. read more

Due to a long term contract in the area, I decided to try this hotel. As I walked up to the front desk to check in I heard the front desk staff telling a guest on the phone that she had no maintenance person available and could only offer a toilet plunger. Obviously there's a problem. If no maintenance is available then why wouldn't the room get changed. Because this stay is only for 2days I proceeded to check in. She read my requirement on my profile and informed me that I was on the top floor away from the elevator. Right! I stepped off the elevator and took maybe 10 steps to my room. The parking lot was empty so what are they thinking. After driving 4hrs all I want to do is rest so I figured to tolerate the room after all it's only 2 days. I opened the door to the room and a smell of moisture was evident. I saw no water and due to my sensitivity with smell, I travel with air spray. So I whipped it out. I have had such problems with feathered pillows being put on my bed even-though my profile indicates my allergy. I checked the pillows and they were all hypoallergenic. The other thing I noticed is that the floors are noisy no matter how quiet you walk. I thought maybe it was unique to my room but obviously not because I can hear the other guests walking on their floors next door. Oh well it's only 2 days. Now I wake up the next morning to get ready for work and went to brush my teeth and the bathroom sink filled up and took forever to drain the water. I left it taking its sweet time to drain. Eventually it drained. I went to work and can back and shortly after bathing my skin while drying off I get a knock at my door. It's the front desk telling me there's a complaint from the person below that water is dripping from my room. Nothing had flooded. No toilet or sink has overflowed so why would water be dripping. My bathroom floor is dry. Obviously if something is dripping it's in the wall from the tub drain not from overflow. She claimed she called me and wanted to come in my room. No I'm in a towel drying off. This is a through-the door-conversation. I told her of the slow draining sink and she can have maintenance check in the morning. Now today on my day of check out the sink fills again. This time I was there when it finally finished draining. This the worse sink burp ever. The smell indicates to me a bigger problem. The appearance is nice and this place has me thinking that all that glitters is NOT gold. I have booked all the way until June and after second thinking this cancelled. This hotel is across from the Hilton Garden Inn. I was there for 3 weeks and they kept putting feathered pillows on my bed plus a couple other things so I left there. Looks like this maybe a from frying pan into the fire situation. They begged me to stay there and I'm going back. Yes this is suite set up but the foundation of this hotel is problematic or I may have been luck enough to get one of the 2 rooms with plumbing issues despite the empty parking lot. I started my review a few months ago and posting now. Not sure what the problem is but seems like decent room, customer service and getting compliance with things that can cause health issues isn't on most of these hotels radar. Great stay overall. I'm very impressed with how the property reflects on the Fairfield brand. I guess I've been stuck in the past because the last time I stayed in a Fairfield (2006), it was a motel, not a hotel like this properly, and while it was fine, it wasn't anywhere near up to the standards of this property. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Top marks for the staff! The lobby was very well-appointed and welcoming. Top marks. We looked at the pool but opted to skip it as it's nothing special (they do as well as they can with what they have; they couldn't now go and make the tiny pool they have special). I don't know that an indoor pool is something even to be expected at all at a Fairfield Inn so we wouldn't call this a complaint. Now, if there were a hot tub, that we likely would have used! My wife enjoyed the coffee at the breakfast. There's a Denny's a couple of hundred yards down the road and I just couldn't resist the lure of that so I didn't eat any of the breakfast at the property. Incidentally, the 10% off that they have negotiated with the Longhorn and the O'Charley's immediately in front of the property is a great value-add; I would love to see that extended to the Red Lobster, Applebee's, and especially the Denny's that are just down the road. The room was great overall. We loved the high bed, full mini-refrigerator, and surprisingly quiet microwave. The layout of the room made it feel very spacious. We specifically asked for and received a room on the top floor facing the back because I had read that the walls of the property are thin and that the best way to avoid noise issues was to get the top floor facing the back and consequently, we had no issues with noise. Our 2 minor issues with the room (408) were with the sink and the thermostat. The sink was very slow to drain; not the end of the world but it would be nice to resolve that if possible. And the thermostat was just weird: it seemed to want to go to 70 degrees as a high pretty much no matter what (bearing in mind in this case we were trying to get it to go higher; I can't speak to it from an AC perspective, just a heat perspective). In light of the fact that the thermostat is a long way from the window, 70 degrees at the thermostat did not necessarily mean 70 degrees at the bed by the window and so the bed area tended to be a little bit cold. The amenities in the room were nice; the Pantene shampoo and conditioner were particularly appreciated. We could have used more washcloths and hand towels (I think there were only 2 of each but even if there were 3, 4 of each would have been ideal). We were very impressed and would definitely stay again. It's not a luxury property and it would be unfair to compare it to one but the value for the money (or in our case, points) was excellent. read more

I came to GA from NY to check out the area for a job transfer my company was offering me. I stayed at this hotel well every single day I have been woken up by the people above me walking around. For the first week the person upstairs was getting up at 5 am and pacing all morning till about 6:30am back and forth all morning the floor CREEKS LOAD! Like the floor isn't screwed down right. So after 6 days having to wake up over 2 hours before I needed to I finally changed rooms. Then the lady ensured me no one would be above me and I could enjoy my stay finally. Well that was short lived now I have 2 people above me who stomp around starting at 2am. I had to call the front desk because they were slamming the draws and doors. This hotel has ZERO noise control other guest SHOULD NOT be able to hear other people vomiting, pooping, farting, or flushing at any time! It's the most disgusting thing I've ever experienced. I would never stay here again not recommend others to stay here. Plus every morning starting at 6am the elevator chimes every time the damn door opens. The total lack of noise control on top of the total lack of relaxation. This hotel offers an inside heated pool but when I went to use it last night it was freezing! The person at the front desk explained children were in it and slashed out a good amount of water and it needed to be refilled so the water will be cold. Well glad the unsupervised kids had fun. Clean, fairly well maintained hotel. Somewhat creaky in spots, but overall pretty quiet. Nice facilities and central location.

Hotel is clean and the breakfast is fine, but if you want to sleep you better bring earplugs. You can hear people through the walls and if someone is in the room above you, you will hear every step. Unlike hotels with concrete floors, the hotel is completely wood frame. Whoever laid the flooring didn't properly secure it so it creaks with every step. I won't be staying here again. read more
