I need to say that Ram Jack did something I wasn't expecting. They told us that we don't need their services. Amazing. We live on a hill and our slider door going out to the back deck started bowing out over the last couple of years. We figured our 20-year-old house would do some settling, but this concerned my wife and I a lot. Mike from Ram Jack came out, gathered the info and said yes, there has been some movement. We were looking at about a $40,000 job. Then I heard from the owner, Ken, who came back out with Mike and checked things out. I thought this was going to be a final sales push on their part, and maybe Ken would even toss in a little discount, if I signed the papers on the spot. Nope. None of that happened. Ken and Mike remeasured, but, the numbers didn't really concern Ken that much, and when checking the slider door, he saw that they builders never screwed in the bottom flange and the door had slid out a bit. The wall underneath in the foundation was all straight. A simple handyman fix. Ken even told me, "If this were my house, I wouldn't do it. Just give us a call in a few years if you see any changes and we'll come back out and measure and compare that to what we have on file now. I'd love to take your $40,000, but we don't need to." That's the definition of integrity. To Ken, Mike and Harry, the Sales Manager, you guys were the best. Quick response times to all my calls and emails, timely, professional, but best of all, honest. Our foundation was a little different in the sense there was no crawl space. So we have been putting it off for a couple years now. I finally got a hold of Chris at Ram Jack and he did a good job at writing up a great estimate. The options with financing was another big seller for using Ram Jack. It was quick and easy. I informed him I would eventually have the dirt removed from under my house just didn't know when. A couple days later he called back and said they can remove the dirt up to a certain amount and if they didn't spend that much they would refund it. I was very skeptical I just figured they would charge whatever and make sure it added up to that allotted $$$ amount. Well to my surprise they came in over 2K UNDER the allotted amount. I was really expecting the worse but they surprised me. (Other const. firms wanted literally 8xs as much to remove the dirt under the house. ) The workers were very courteous and prompt everyday. Harmon (sorry if misspelled) was very patient with me and explained things as he went along. They were clean and worked efficiently. Surprisingly seemed to enjoy their jobs. Nice Change. I'm a contractor here in Eugene. I bought avery large fixer-upper house which had about a 2" drop in the house over a 6' deep by 30' wide span. This is a pretty serious issue. I thought I'd do the lift myself, but brought RamJack in to take a look and get their opinion (free consultation!!!). I quickly realized the methods I was planning to employ to do the lift would be temporary at best. The sales guy/consultant who come out literally knew more about foundations that I do, which was a hard pill to swallow. Long story short, I hired them to do the lift and AM EXTREMELY GLAD I DID! Had I done the work myself, heavy equipment and tool rental alone to do the work they did would be about half the cost I paid them to do the work. Add in materials and engineering (yes, this sort of work absolutely requires an engineer) and it would have been darn close to a wash. So, for the about the same cost I would have had to do the work myself I had specialists come in and do the work, properly engineer it, do ALL the nasty dirty heavy work, and guarantee it for life. Our home is in North Clark County WA. We have noticed changes in our main level floor system throughout our home, and were concerned that we may have a foundation problem. He was very professional and knowledgeable about foundation problem related symptoms, and he utilized a highly specific tool to map the elevations at our home's corners and bearing points. I found a cracked corner and a few vertical fractures in my foundation. Ram Jack was able to come the next day for a free estimate, unlike any other foundation repair company I had contacted. I was so worried that they would tell me I had a serious foundation problem that would cost thousands to repair. Instead, the specialist reassured me that the fractures were minor and the structural integrity of our home was sound. I asked him how much it would be to repair the broken corner and he said "Well, there's nothing for us to fix. No need to hire anyone for a simple project like that. You can just patch that up with cement yourself, very easy." He then explained what I needed to purchase in order to repair the corner. He was right, easy fix! After 4 different contractors getting our hopes up, and a month of hurry up and wait, we were thrilled. All my phone calls and emails with Brandy, Nora and others at the main office were always professional, friendly and understanding. Keith came out, set to work right away and got the job done within a week, not a small task for what he was up against. Due to years of water damage and some termites as well, the beams and posts under the house needed to be replaced along with the subfloor underneath the hardwood. Keith was prompt everyday, let me know about what was going on with our job, cleaned up the worksite everyday and was an all around fabulous contractor, giving us his full attention and expertise. Outside of a delay in permitting, I'm quite satisfied. I bought a 110-year old farmhouse and got told by one company the entire house needed to be lifted at a very high price which I thought was nonsense. RamJack measured and the entire house was down 1.5 inches except for one bedroom which was 4 inches low. The slope was quite noticeable from the inside of that bedroom. RamJack quoted me a price of about 20% of the other company. The work involved putting pilings down 50 feet to bedrock and attaching structural steel brackets which made up for a gap in the original foundation. Once the work was done, it leveled the bedroom and made up about 2 inches out of a 3-inch drop in a bathroom above the bedroom. I'd recommend RamJack to address any situation you have that requires stabilization. read more

EXCELLENT service and work. Ken and Michael were very attentive to our needs, and when they said they would start work on X date and then changed it, made every attempt to comply with our agreement. I call Them to assess my foundation. The estimator, Colt, was very honest and professional. He was from their Portland office - 503-506-2834. He measured my house with some kind of machine and determined that it had not settled significantly and that I didn't need their services. He did that for free!
