This is my first time in, and I came for the weeknight steak deal. It was about what I expected -- Worth the low cost for a budget steak. Nothing fancy, but the sides tasted good too, and it was plenty of food for $11. I don't go into Kino spots, so the atmosphere was a little surprising, but probably nothing out of the ordinary. It took so long to get drinks that we ordered the next round when the previous round came and we still waited! It wasn't the bartender or wait staffs fault, it was the business for not having adequate staff. My fries were ice cold. How damn long did they have to be sitting out to be this cold!? And my sister began to order her drink Now, since my sister have been sitting there, she could've gotten my sister a drink or the menus prior to me returning but she had not when my sister went to place her order the server left before My sister finished her sentence, when I asked her for menus... She had even more of an attitude So finally, I let her know that we would be moving up to the bar and she charged back to the table saying that " You guys need to be patient, I was going to bring you menus, but you guys been rude, the whole time, And you guys should go to the bar but know that the prices are different at the bar" We really didn't care what she was saying she just made us so uncomfortable that we no longer wanted her to be our server... But then we noticed that she went over to several other servers and two of the other bartenders to talk trash about us... We even overheard Her talking trash about us... Went to meet my family for dinner and Keno just like we do every Thursday and Saturday. there are at least 6 of us and sometimes 8 of us so we need to put 2 four tops together to sit comfortably. Tonight I asked a waitress named Theresa if the 2 tables were in her section and if I could put them together. She at first said yes they were and walked away. I started to put the tables together and she came up and said I'm not doing this you guys take up to much of a block of time. I was shocked and asked "we cannot put these together?" and she said no... And started putting the tables back where they were. I called my family and told them how rude this women was and told them to meet me at Jimbo's. We have been going to Ralston for 6 years, twice a week and have never been treated so poorly. Theresa has a group of people she caters to and apparently she needed the space for them. We've watched her put tables together for them with a reserve sign on the table for an hour before they come in. Keeping other customers from sitting in the space. When we play Keno we usually do spend a couple hours there at least and spend a lot of money between 8 people for dinner and Keno. We aren't loud or annoying, we just spend lots of money and we don't need to be treated like that. This was unacceptable! There are other places to go where the people treat you with respect. My parents and I went here for lunch today. Super busy and wait staff was overwhelmed!!! It took over an hour to receive our food as my sandwich order got "lost", when food finally arrived the waitress practically threw it on the table and ran off. My parents ordered the daily specials which were flavor lacking in all parts and all of the food was refrigerator cold. At one point the waitress grabbed our ketchup and said "I'm going to borrow this" and gave it to the next table who at no point even used it!! I asked for a box and the waitress just huffed at me like I was putting her out. This is first and foremost a Keno place. The food will surprise you in both the variety and quality. They have some pretty good specials and everything is pretty good. Service is a little slow so entertain yourself by playing Keno. Lots of windows and very little waiting. TV's are placed throughout but are high and a little hard to see. read more

The food is ok, but RK has the nastiest manager under the general manager. Lori has a terrible demeanor, very rude, temperamental and undiplomatic. Plus she threw an F bomb at me. Because I told her to get out of my face, she banned me from coming back. Frankly I wouldn't want to come back anyway. And one of the owners was notified of this but doesn't seem to care. That tells me he is ok with the manager yelling at customers and throwing F bombs. I would not go there. I want to add, Lori dates the general manager and part owner, Keith Lewis. (He is not the owner I am talking about in my review.) That is clearly a serious conflict of interest. Mr. Lewis' decision making and judgment has to be badly compromised concerning Lori's inexcusable behavior. 90 percent of all other restaurants would not tolerate this kind of conduct. The two other owners, including the one that was notified of my bad experience, need to address this. Why would they want to employ a manager who drives customers away? To conclude, I'm sorry to say this person is not fit to be a manager. She just doesn't have the right personality with customers. This is a pretty good place to go if Keno is your thing and if you are a smoker, you will be double happy, because they have a smokers room that is not outside and it's heated. The food is actually pretty decent and the woman that waited on us, was on top of it and super nice. My BF ordered the NY Strip steak, came with a decent sized side salad and a another side for $8.99 and for $2 more bucks he got 4 big shrimp. I ordered onion rings which were huge and crunchy and the horseradish dipping sauce was excellent. The drinks in the other hand left a lot to be desired. My BF ordered a margarita and it was totally clear, there was no seed and sour I think it was just triple sec, tequila and soda water, it was ok, but it was not a margarita. I ordered a Long Island ice tea and I could taste nothing but tequila, what little of it there was and cola. My final assessment is if you love keno and decent reasonably price food and prefer beer over mixed drinks, this is your place and if you smoke, it's a no brainer. For what it is, a Keno Sports bar, it one of the best ones I've been to so far, which really hasn't been many. Keno writers are very friendly but the waitress was another thing all together. We had only been here twice and when I asked the staff person how to order some food here, he kindly said he would send a waitress over to us so we could place an order for some food. The waitress came over to our table pissed off at the world and told us she couldn't see us where we were sitting and thats why she didn't come take our order... Geez woman slow your roll! UPDATE: 40 minutes later and miss waitress w/ an attitude still has not come back to take our order. Some people just DO NOT belong in a job dealing with customers! This is a small keno parlor just south of Omaha. It is made up of three main rooms. When you first enter, you are in the main keno room. To the left is an enclosed smoking room and to the right is a dining room. You can play Keno in any room. They also have pickle cards for $0.25 to $2.00 each. I never win at pickles. This was my second visit to the Ralston Keno Parlor, both times with family and friends for breakfast. Their menu is not large, but the portions are enormous and the prices low. The first time I was there I had 2 eggs with hash browns, bacon and toast. Honestly, this was probably enough for the hole table of us (and there were six of us). This time, I opted for the single egg breakfast, also with hash browns, patty sausage and toast. I still could not finish it. The quality seems good - an egg is an egg. The hash browns were buttery and crisp. The sausage was well cooked and moist, but a little flavorless. I had wheat toast, but didn't have any of it before they had to roll me out. The food is remarkably good. To give you an idea of cost, I think my breakfast was about $5.00. All drinks are free - they serve Pepsi products, coffee, etc. Also on the menu aside from eggs are traditional items like french toast, biscuits and gravy. They also offer steak and eggs and chicken fried steak and eggs. All in all, not a fancy place, but fun all the same. Not really a place to bring your kids, though. read more

I came here recently after a beerfest and spent over 100$ with our group eating and drinking. This was the night that a large blizzard rolled through Omaha. My group and I left to go karaoke at a nearby bar, but it was closed. On the way back, we grabbed some tallcans from a gas station. We took them into the Keno place and sat patiently while we waited for our Lyft to arrive. We weren't being loud or obnoxious in any way. About ten minutes after we came back ( this was 10 pm, place states hours until 2 am), the lady manager came back and took out beers and tossed them in a nasty manner. I understand that we had outside drinks but she was super aggressive about it. I guess it was nice of her to then toss us into the "smoking room". The temperature was about 30 degrees cooler than the main restaurant. While there, we saw several other patrons literally getting shoved into the smoking area. One guy asked why this was happening, could he use a bathroom, and this same managerial woman actually put hands on him, shoving him into the smoking area saying, " wait in here, or outside". I get that the weather was bad but this was ridiculous. These were paying customers being shoved like cattle into a holding area, and being told good luck while you wait for your ride. I will not go back there, the food was mediocre, drinks were okay prices, the service was slow for us as paying customers, but it's clear they don't give a shit about the human experience. I've been here several times since I started going about a month ago. Yes, the service in the dining area is kind of slow, but they only have one or two servers working. In spite of this, the food has always come out fairly quickly and hot, so I guess I'm not understanding where people had to wait 45 minutes for food, unless there's been a personnel change over since the negative reviews were posted. You can't find a better new york strip or prime rib for the price they charge. With the pandemic being used as an excuse to hike the price of beef up, this place is still keeping their prices low for burgers, steak, prime rib and other meals they provide. They also give you an insane amount of food to eat and I've never eaten a bad meal here. Its even alot of fun to toss in a few games of keno along with the dining experience. My encounters with the staff have all been positive, however, I've never sat in the bar area to experience the "rude bartender" people talk about. The servers are all pretty nice, but the food is very lack-luster. What the food lacks in quality, they make up for in quantity. Ex: salads are obscenely huge, but made with watery, flavorless iceberg lettuce. Even simple things like burgers aren't worth while. The burgers are the frozen, out of the box kind and desperately need seasoning. Even though there is a room for smoking, the dining area reeks of stale cigarette smoke. RK might be okay just for drinks, but I can't get over the stale cigarette smoke smell. It just hangs in the air and seeps into your soul, as well as your clothes. read more

They now sit in the bar side where I've had better luck so I began trying the food with much luck. I return to socialize with my friends and enjoy some of the food. The bright spot here is a friendly, energetic young lady who waits our table on Sunday mornings, only a few issues with the food but she gets it fixed cheerfully and fast, she is a favorite of my friends. Important to note that she serves our large table, or 2 very well. I not only eat here again but feel earns a good tip. Ralston Keno is kind of a bizarre place, but totally fun if you know what to expect. I came here with a group of guys for some beers and margaritas after a round of golf. At about 3 p.m., the place was full of old time Ralston locals who were really, really into playing keno. Luckily, the space is huge, so we found a spot in the back near the smoking room to skip out on the gambling gang only to find some dude with huge muscles counting out large amounts of cash on the pool table. It was like a scene out of Miami Vice (the dude worked there, so it's cool). Pitchers of PBR were $7.25, so under $2 a beer. Not bad. Margaritas were $2 each. Also, not bad. Typical keno bar food menu with fried stuffs, gringo tacos and gravy up to your eyeballs. There's something about Ralston that I just love. It's like a small town tucked right between the city and suburbia. If I ever ended up living there, I wouldn't complain. Heck I might even take up keno. read more

I go every Tuesday for the prime rib specal. which is absolutely delicious and for a price of 8.99 you can't beat it. you get a prime rib and two sides your choice of potato and corn or green beans. I frequently go to Ralston Keno to play darts and have a few drinks with friends. It is definitely more of a hole in the wall than anything else. I have never tried their food, but I wish the kitchen stayed open longer so I could get my drunk munchies on. The drinks are always over poured, which I don't mind because I can walk home. I only gave one star because I did not see an option for half a star. I guess the folks that open and close the doors daily should get at least that. Although that is about all that they do in a day's work. Customer service is non existent. And I was told not to expect anyone to walk all the way over to the cash register to cash in my winning pickles because they are about "keno first and pickles whenever" I spent over $100 in pickles -- still same answer -- waited almost ten full minutes to get paid. The first time I ate here, my friend and I ordered the corn nuggets for around five or six dollars and they were very, very good. I'm not generally a fan of fried food, but these did not taste overly heavy or greasy. They came with honey and we also got a side of ranch. The portion was more than plenty for two to share. Last night, I had the nachos, which were pretty good. You can get them with flour chips instead of corn, which we did and they're very good about putting things on the side for you (like the meat). And most importantly, happy hour lasts til 7 :) But even outside of happy hour, the drinks are cheaper than most bars.
