Basic tub

This hotel is infested with roaches. This comes after finding it in a state of questionable status, with unfinished repairs and a Jacuzzi tub that likely also had roaches in it because it was taking absolutely longer than 30 minutes to fill. Also wouldn't issue a refund and tried to fob it off on Expedia like the scam artists they are. As soon as the room was dark enough, everything from giant adults to juvenile roaches were crawling out from under the cabinets and furniture and even out from under the toilet. I will be getting this place black listed from every booking site and reporting it to every health related department and business group possible. I regret booking my anniversary night out here -- don't repeat my mistake. Thank god roaches didn't come pouring out of the tub jets

Double queen bedroom.. Beds are very comfortable, the pillows are kind of weird and small but they worked

Had a lovely staying at this Hotel on a road trip from California to Illinois. The lobby was decorated for Christmas and was really cute with a tree and a wreath and everything. The room: super clean, perhaps slightly outdated but the bed was clean and fresh, TV choices were decent with free HBO and Max. I love when the bathroom has a sink separated from the shower area, it makes getting ready in the morning much more efficient. 4.5/5 Breakfast : this was seriously legit. Waffle maker, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, breakfast sausage and biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were actually fantastic. They also had all the other typical continental breakfast fare. The coffee was better than at other hotel breakfasts we had on our route. 5/5!! Other amenities: although we did not take advantage of them the pool has a double slide situation with a play area for a little ones and the exercise area was excellent as well. They do charge $20 for a pet fee, but that still made the price is very reasonable for what you get. Although this was just a stop on our way to Illinois it is definitely a place we will hit up again next time we are in transit.

Do not book a stay here. I booked a room for my family and our hotel room had mold everywhere. The ceiling was crumbling apart with a hole in it. The room smelled musty and the carpet was damp. The bedding was stained. There was no housekeeping during our stay and were advised to just put trash and dirty towels in the hallway. The pool was absolutely filthy with no ventilation or air flow. The stairs leading up to the kids slide were absolutely disgusting and looked like they have never been cleaned. There were fruit flies all over the area where the continental breakfast was being served. We ended our stay early and they refused to refund us or do anything. This hotels conditions were unsafe and neglectful on their part. This hotel is filthy!

It was decorated nicely (it seemed newly renovated?) and the beds were super comfy, not too hard and not too soft.

They shipped everything back to us right away. Over the years I've lost plenty of things at other hotels--and even when I call, I'm usually told they can't find them. So I was genuinely grateful and happy that this hotel reached out so quickly and made sure our belongings got back to us. Exceptional service!

I just had one of the most disappointing customer service experiences with Tru Hotel by Hilton…read more I originally booked a reservation at the Tru Hotel in Omaha but later realized I actually needed the Tru Hotel in North Platte. I called to ask if they could simply switch my reservation to the correct Tru location. The representative said no--that the only option was to cancel my Omaha booking, charge me a one-night cancellation fee, and then rebook me at the North Platte property. I asked to speak with a manager, and was connected with Daniel, the Front Desk Manager. Daniel repeated the same thing: Hilton's policy required me to pay a $150 cancellation fee, even though I was still planning to stay with Tru at a different location. Here's the part that makes no sense: If they had waived the fee and transferred my reservation, they would've kept my business. I would've rebooked at Tru in North Platte, paying around $460 in total. Instead, they chose to enforce the cancellation policy, charge me $150, and lose a loyal customer. They essentially lost out on about $300 and future loyalty over a rigid policy. As soon as I hung up, I booked with another hotel--Avid Hotel in North Platte--which was newer, less expensive, and happy to have my business. To Daniel: following policy at the expense of common sense and customer loyalty is a short-sighted move. You didn't just lose a 3-night stay---you lost a customer. Lesson learned: Hilton may be about policy; I'll stick with hotels that value people.

At check-in, I noticed I was not offered a room upgrade despite holding Titanium status. Because I had a meeting, I couldn't address it right away. Later that day, I spoke with Eric at the front desk--and that interaction alone guaranteed I will never return. Eric was rude, dismissive, and clearly uninterested in doing his job. Instead of assisting, he deflected responsibility, stating he had "just logged in" and implying I should have handled it earlier. He then brushed me off by saying he would "let them know" in the morning--completely ignoring the fact that upgrades are based on availability at the time of request. When I tried to clarify whether he understood Titanium benefits, his response was vague and borderline sarcastic. It was obvious he either lacked basic knowledge of Marriott Bonvoy elite benefits or simply didn't care. Either way, that level of service is unacceptable. To make matters worse, I was told at check-in that Titanium members would be charged $50 for a late checkout beyond 3 PM--this directly contradicts the guaranteed 4 PM late checkout benefit. Providing inaccurate information to elite members is not just frustrating--it reflects poor training and mismanagement. I travel frequently across several states and stay in Marriott properties often. I have never been treated this poorly or with this level of disregard. The combination of incompetence, misinformation, and outright disrespect from staff is inexcusable. I will NEVER stay at this property again and will actively discourage others from doing so. There are far better options in the area that actually value their guests and honor loyalty benefits.
